Takayuki Yamada Shows His Evil Smile as Angelo for "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" Live-Action Film

Following the previous five, the official website and Twitter for the upcoming live-action film adaptations of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable today added a visual of cold-blooded criminal Anjuro Katagiri, aka Angelo, portrayed by 33-year-old Takayuki Yamada.

  Yamada is best know as the protagonist Yoshihiko in the Yusha Yoshihiko conmesy fantasy TV series (2011-2016), and was chosen as one of the "10 Actors to Look Out for in an Increasingly Global Business" by The Hollywood Reporter in October 2010. At the press conference held in September 2016, he jokingly said about his role in the film, "I should feel more pressure, but because Anjuro Katagiri is the worst murder in the history, which is very similar to my own personality, I think I can play him smoothly."

One month ahead of its theatrical release in Japan, the official website for the upcoming film JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable Chapter I today posted a 90-second third trailer focusing on the battles among the characters using their Stands, including the protagonist Josuke Higashikata (Kento Yamazaki)'s Crazy Diamond, Jotaro Kujo (Yusuke Iseya)'s Star Platinum, Keicho Nijimura (Masaki Okada)'s Bad Company, Okuyasu Nijimura (Mackenyu)'s The Hand, and the antagonist Anjuro "Angelo" Katagiri (Takayuki Yamada)'s Aqua Necklace. The camouflage pattern suits worn by Bad Company is newly designed by the manga author Araki himself. .

Watch 1st Teaser Trailer for "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" Live-Action Film

Finally, the official website for the upcoming film JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable Chapter I today posted a 30-second teaser trailer introducing the town of Morioh filmed in Sitges, Spain, and its main characters, along with a teaser poster visual featuring the protagonist Josuke Higashikata portrayed by Kento Yamazaki. The tagline on the poster is "The time to use the power, Stand, has finally come."

   The first chapter of the film series based on the fourth story arc of Hirohiko Araki's long-running JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga is set for a release in Japan on August 4, 2017.

"JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" Live-Action Film Finally Reveals Yusuke Iseya as Jotaro

As the last entry of its character visual introductions, the official website and Twitter for the upcoming live-action film adaptations of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable today finally posted a visual of 40-year-old actor Yusuke Iseya as Jotaro Kujo. He is 179cm tall, 16cm shorter than the character in the original manga, but it may be impossible to find a 195cm tall actor who can play the character in Japan. Meanwhile, the 185cm tall Josuke Higashikata, the protagonist of the film and Jotaro's uncle, is portrayed by 178cm tall Kento Yamazaki. So Jotaro and Josuke are almost same tall in the film.

  "I have extremely admired Jotaro Kujo since my junior high days," says Iseya, "It was very difficult to fill a gap between Jotaro and myself, because they have totally different personalities. The shooting was filled with the ideas provided by director Miike, it was so exciting and enjoyable." He also talked about the main location for film, Sitges in Spain. The town was chosen by Miike as the fictional town of Morioh,

which was loosely based on the real Japanese city of Sendai in the manga. "We were able to shoot

the film with fresh feeling that couldn't be felt in Japan. Because we were in the town of Spain, the

costume of Jojo fit well with me, and I am expecting the audience will feel no wrongness."

The Nijimura Brothers Join"JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" Live-Action Film

Following Kento Yamazaki as Josuke Higashikata, Ryunosuke Kamiki as Koichi Hirose and Nana Komatsu as Yukako Yamagishi, the official website for the upcoming live-action film adaptations of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable today added more cast visuals of the two Nijimura brothers, 27-year-old Masaki Okada as Keicho and 20-year-old Mackenyu as his younger brother Okuyasu. 

  Masaki Okada, who belongs to Stardust Promotion that also has Yamazaki and Komatsu, is currently cast as Kotaro Katsura in the live-action film adaptation of another popular Shonen Jump manga series, Gintama. Mackenyu, repped by Mack and Leaves, is a son of internationally famous Japanese action star Shinichi Chiba/JJ Sonny Chiba and has also joined Pacific Rim: Uprising, the upcoming sequel to Guillermo del Toro's 2013 kaiju film Pacific Rim.

"JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" Live-Action Film Reveals Koichi and Yukako

Following 22-year-old Kento Yamazaki as the protagonist Josuke Higashikata, the official website for the upcoming live-action film adaptations of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable today added two more cast visuals of 23-year-old Ryunosuke Kamiki as Koichi Hirose and 20-year-old Nana Komatsu as Yukako Yamagishi. The first chapter of the film series based on the fourth story arc of Hirohiko Araki's long-running JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga is set for a release in Japan on August 4, 2017. Release date for the following chapters is still unknown. 

    Kamiki is now probably best known as the voice of the male protagonist Taki Tachibana in Makoto Shinkai's mega hit anime film Kimi no Na wa./Your Name. As an actor for live-action films, he is also cast as the protagonist Rei Kiriyama in the two-part film based on Chica Umino's March Comes in like a Lion manga series to be released this Spring.

     Nana Komatsu started her career as a professional fashion model in 2008 when she was 12. Then she made

her actress debut in Tetsuya Nakajima's 2014 film Kawaki. She co-starred with Kamiki as Akito Takagi in the

live-action film adaptation of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's Bakuman. manga in 2015 as the main heroine

Miho Azuki. She most recently joined Martin Scorsese's historical drama film Silence based on Shusaku Endo's

1966 novel about a Jesuit missionary set to Japan in 17th century.
