New York sets a new scene for the pirates' storyline

The recent world tour has seen changes not only in the stage setup but with lore being revealed through performances as well, which have been consistent until an unexpected one time addition during the New York stop combining several members' stages. Clips from this segment of their concerts have been making rounds through social platforms, with netizens reporting on how their acting came to life so realistically that they shed tears over something they did not even fully understand.

The acting scene opened with the maknae draped in silky white garments dancing to an eerily familiar orchestra instrumental, a soft smile across her lips while the members appeared one at a time behind her to join into the choreography. Silence abruptly befalls the stadium while most lights turn black to let the spotlight onto each of the men in the order they arrived, replaying the moment their wings were ripped from them until disappearing into the darkness.

When the lighting came back to its normal setting, the vocalist could be seen chained to the same metal structure as her solo stage yet this time the attire was light blue displaying blood red stains around the shoulder blades whilst feathers of that same color were scattered on the ground. Tears streamed down as the restraints fell, leaving her free to crawl towards the members' bodies laid out across the stage and the bone chilling scream released upon touching the eldest's cheek resonated loudly enough for attendees situated further away to hear. Several beats passed during which her entire demeanor changed; heaving breaths falling into a calmer rhythm while the distressed turned into an almost subtle sadness until her head turned to the camera, her body sinking into a kneeling position as wet eyes stared directly at the lens, the captain's insignia in her hands.

The emotional performance left the audience completely silent until spotlights went out for the final time, giving them time to not only admire the group's acting skills but think about the significance of this rather dark moment as well. It has been implied previously that the blue bird is either closely linked to the young woman or simply her poetic representation in the lore, which is likely why the outfit is of this color while the red stains obviously represent the loss of wings symbolizing freedom. Pieces of the treasure film have suggested that she was involved in every single one of their stories, perhaps even being the one who helped their leader bring them together, and the fact that she is the first in front of the mirror surely represents that.

The hidden detail of a broken hearing aid lodged in her ear did not slip past sharp eyes either, leading to theories about the fact that it further represented the loss of freedom through the inability to hear their music. It has been assured by the vocalist herself that the device was simply painted in such a state as she still requires it in order to keep up with the numerous cues given through the backing track.

While the significance of their many acting performances have not been revealed as of yet, the dedication behind these bleeds through when attendees become unable to tell which are their true emotions. A more private aspect of the relationship between the industry's producing sibling duo as camera follows them behind the scenes.

To celebrate the one year anniversary of an emotional collaboration that also served as the very first solo release of a talented vocalist, BANGTANTV in partnership with KQ ENTERTAINMENT uploaded a two part documentary showcasing the process behind the single 'Pray' by Agust D and Himari. Throughout the years people have come to build these siblings an untouchable reputation through the title 'Hands of Midas', in reference to their incredible musical genius, so it was only natural for netizens to be interested in their work behind the scenes. However, it seems as though they received much more than they had bargained for when heartbreaking stories of the past were recalled by the artists to explain the mindset of each track.

In order to help viewers understand why the pair resemble each other in such a striking manner despite being linked legally rather than through blood, a short rundown of their history was given in the first few minutes. Prior to the tragic accident both families were very close friends and due to this bond the rapper has been in his younger sister's life since her birth, later playing a huge role in raising her following the adoption. While their parents were not detached from their lives, they did work a lot, and with the eldest living his own life it was left to the remaining brothers to take care of her. The girl's biological sibling however was dealing with a lot of physical as well as mental difficulties at the time, which meant that he was in no state to carry out such a huge responsibility.

'I was left with a lot of injuries from the accident so I couldn't move much at the time, and the grief put me in a really dark situation. Because she was still very young she couldn't deal with it properly and was always happy instead...so I couldn't find a way to approach her to take care of her.' Hanzo said in an interview with Cosmopolitan Korea

This paved the way into the conversation that took place while each wrote their respective verses in the side track 'Snooze', and here is what we now know. The middle brother took ever chance available to come home to her, yet these moments were unfortunately few and far between, leaving the family's youngest with no other option than to grow up quickly in order to adjust to an independent lifestyle in the midst of grief. In the refrain along with the first verse Agust D talks about acknowledging life's hardships, some originating from the music industry, all the while reassuring whoever is listening that it is alright to show weakness and lean on somebody.

'They're [the lyrics] what I would have wanted to tell you back then but looking at them makes me realize how much I missed.' Yoongi admitted. 'I regret it a lot you know, seeing that the more I came home, the quicker you seemed to grow up. You saw a lot of things because of me, all of them I wish to take back.'

The last piece of this statement was lightly touched upon in later footage, revealing that the young woman was made to take care of her brother rather often due to him being stuck in a very dark place at the time, leaving him too mentally distant to raise her, with certain anecdotes suggesting she might have been witness to events that were traumatizing for a mere child. While no speculations will be made on this very delicate matter, it is clear that something much deeper has bonded these siblings together, as the man who very rarely cries on camera could be seen tearing up holding his sister.

'When I listened to The Last, I remember throwing up afterwards.' Himari recalled. 'The emotions were just too much and I think it was my body's way of dealing with them, since I never truly got closure. I was terrified back then, having to pull you out this often, but I don't blame you for it. If anything I feel relieved that someone was there at the time, even if it had to be me.'

What can be said in short however is that we now understand why the maknae tends to act childishly, as there was never truly a time in the two year period preceding training that she had the opportunity to live as one.

While devastating aspects of their past were unraveled, most pieces of footage filmed on personal cameras managed to heal viewers' hearts as they showed their healed relationship, from playing around while creating to going out to cafes or PC bangs. Multiple instances of the young woman falling asleep on the couch in her brother's studio have been reposted on social media, as it led to the rapper caring for her as one would a child, demonstrating the amount of attentiveness he holds towards her.

'I raised her, so there's something more in how I see her.' He said in episode 20 of Suchwita [with Taemin] 'It's not a parental link or anything...but it feels like it sometimes.'

This nearly fatherly care for his sister was demonstrated through an anecdote in which her difficulties navigating the music industry with a near deaf ear were talked about, leading viewers to learn that due to the family's low financial status they were unable to afford a hearing aid for their youngest, seeing as they already had to pay the hospital fees. The girl being fully aware of their predicament had never mentioned need for it, yet Yoongi rapidly caught on to the struggles this new impairment brought into her daily life, such as extreme fatigue along with splitting headaches and so he set aside money following every paycheck earned during his delivery job.

'The song that fits us the most...' Himari pondered over the question asked in a solo segment. 'Maybe Mockingbird by Eminem, my brother used to play it a lot at home. There's a lot of regrets in the song, a lot of promises about protection and sacrifices just to make her [his daughter] life better. Food ordered for him would very quickly fill the studio and although claiming to have eaten well, the rapper finished every single dish, even accepting the soft pink blankets draped over him when producing sessions lasted into late at night. While not providing the same way as he had during their childhood, the vocalist shows her care through small actions that prove the amount of attention truly on him at all times.

Their heavy history is easily discernable from the way these artists embrace one another, as there never seems to have been a singular loose hug, never a moment where they did not treasure the simple fact of each other's presence. Although the rapper usually rejects skinship in front of cameras, he could be seen seeking it out throughout the documentary, always asking for a small kiss on the cheek whenever the youngest arrived or left. Sharp eyed netizens also noticed how the senior fidgeted with his rings when listening to the vulnerable lyrics written by his sister, while she on the other hand tended to zone out as if attempting to repress certain emotions.

Peace can be found through these pieces of media as the siblings have stated that despite these setbacks they have managed to find their own balance, and are now going about life with fresh scars rather than carrying old wounds. Strangely enough, having these many instances of them laughing with one another, both fandoms noticed that their smiles are practically identical which had led to sweet speculations about fate meaning for them to be one another's healing.

With the relationship between the vocalist and her biological brother being kept away from the spotlight, it has left many wondering about whether they were truly close or if something was brewing behind closed doors that neither wished to address. This worry was however rapidly dismissed, as several videos of them inserted throughout this documentary reassured fans that the siblings' bond is even stronger than they had claimed it to be. While every single piece of footage was heart warming enough to spark conversations it was not what caught the attention of sharp eyed netizens, but rather a singular clip filmed by the rapper in which they could be seen playing basketball.

The reason behind the influx of speculative threads on the X platform was the fact that their scars from the accident seemed to complete one another's, as where the idol was marked on the right, her brother's much more prominent ones were on the left. The most popular hypothesis is that the older man would have allegedly pulled Himari into his chest in order to protect her from the impact, which seems rather convincing due to the fact that the difference in their injuries' visibility suggests he had suffered the brunt of the impact. Amateur detectives on social media also recalled that the soccer player had made a few references to the aftermath of this tragedy in the past, in which he recalls being impaired to the point of barely being able to move for days while his sister seemed to be relatively healthier.

The senior idols are well recognized for having paved the way for future generations while their juniors are slowly catching up to their achievements, having become the first male group to perform at Coachella and the first k-pop act to grace the stage of Mawazine, the second biggest music festival.

'At times, staying in this career was terrifying.' Himari had said rather hesitantly. 'On more than one occasion I felt like it was the end, like the exhaustion was genuinely going to kill me the second I closed my eyes. So much went on behind the scenes, we would go from one schedule to another without rest and using oxygen masks to avoid fainting became common.'

Much more weight than simply performing rests on their shoulders as both hold the position of producer, alongside several members, which demands that they constantly create new melodies in the midst of their already overwhelming schedules. Their skills have no grounds to be questioned as other well renowned idols have turned to them for their own releases, the most blatant examples being soloist IU with Yoongi and SHINee member Taemin with Himari.

Closing Statement

This documentary was heart wrenching to say the least yet placed much more meaning on the single's tracks with clear connections to dark aspects of their past now being unlocked to the public, serving as a form of closure for these siblings as well. They have truly shown that trauma does not make up the entirety of an individual as both are now known for their intoxicating happiness, giving the audience a valuable lesson about mental health and healing.

Will To Power: A More Mature Concept

ATEEZ surprises fans with moves even more risky than 'Cyberpunk'.

On January 27, ATEEZ held their new world tour's very first concert in the Jamsil Indoor Stadium and its mature concept left attendees as well as netizens completely dumbfounded. The maknae in particular made a lasting impression all throughout the setlist as, whether it be solo or with her dance break partners, she seemed to pull away from the cute demeanor fans had grown used to. While 'Wake Up' undoubtedly shook audience members the most, the introduction segment preceding it was equally surprising.

The group's youngest performed a short choreography to an instrumental track before fellow member San stepped out, wrapping a piece of fabric around her eyes before leaning in closely. Despite the scene's relative darkness most people managed to catch the fact that his arm was resting - rather tightly - on her hips before he whispered 'wake up...' in her ear and pulled both of them into the dance's starting positions.

'I was trying very hard not to break out of character' Himari laughed while talking to attendees. 'We rehearsed this a lot of times at the studio but I still can't get used to how intense it isㅋㅋㅋ.'

In terms of intimacy many noticed that during sound check she kissed Mingi on the corner of his lips, though it looked as if he on the other hand was going in for a true lover's kiss. The speculations of a romantic relationship between the two recently surfaced were only strengthened by this concert due to the rapper's difficulty in keeping his hands to himself - the young woman was wearing pants with very revealing cutouts showing off her bare hips and countless videos caught his touch lingering there.

Himari's acting also showed a different sense of maturity throughout both concerts during a solo dance break, leaving many hearts aching at her heart wrenching expressions.

It sets off instantly with the maknae running onto the stage, rapidly caught by two men attempting to drag her over to the center where a structure made of metal bars stands. Unable to fight them off her hand reaches out desperately towards the back of the stage where another figure stands - but the man only shakes his head and walks away. The attackers manage to wrap chains hanging from the structure around her wrists to keep the young woman still and tear something from her back just as they did to Seonghwa - the act preceding hers - though this time the feathers that scatter are not white but rather blue. Left to wallow in the pain alone she falls to her knees, head hung low in defeat and videos taken by attendees caught a tear shed just prior to the lights dimming.

With the idol having been associated very closely with ATEEZ's mysterious blue bird throughout the eras this could very well be a part of their lore - heavily supported by the fact that the backing track was discovered to be a remix of 'Outro : Blue Bird' from their 'From the Witness' album. What the fandom is sure about however is the fact that her performance proved to be on an incredible level, one enough to render everyone speechless.

ATEEZ'S ROYAL BLOOD

A dive into the members' lineage following their new song about royalty.

ATEEZ recently released another collaboration with BE:FIRST titled Royal and it encouraged some netizens to conduct research on the lineage of the members, which led to the rather surprising discovery that the lyrics 'Check my Royal blood' were indeed true. While clans no longer hold any hierarchal power in Korea and are slowly fading into nothing more than history, it is still interesting to learn about the impressive gathering of nobility in one singular group.

The group's captain, Hongjoong, hails from the Gwangsan Kim clan which is a royal family as per its members' blood relation to the third son of King Sinmu of Silla, Kim Hung-Gwang. The eldest, Seonghwa, is a member of the Miryang Park family who held the title of royalty as well since they descend from 10th century Prince, Park Eon-Chim, the son of King Gyeongmyeong of Silla. Their stunning visual, Yeosang, belongs to the Jinju Kang clan which is an honorary military family, much like main rapper Mingi, who comes from the Yeosan Song clan, which is one of the oldest Korean clans. The Choi brothers, vocalists San and Jongho, descend from the noble Gyeongju Choi family, whose mottos as well as stanzas focus on being a genuine person and helping others. Two of the group's members, Wooyoung and Yunho, have not yet confirmed their clans.

The most impressive lineage however is their youngest, Himari, who has inherited noble blood from both parents along with direct descent from figures linked to the thrones of both Japan and Korea, which would now offer a different meaning to the nickname Hime (princess) that members often use. The maternal side of her family hails from the Konoe aristocratic family, whose parent house is the Hokke branch of the Fujiwara clan, a powerful family of imperial regents who sat on the throne for twelve consecutive years. Her family tree reportedly includes Konoe Sakiko, the mother to the 108th Emperor of Japan, Emperor Go-Mizunoo, the first to reign entirely during the Edo period.

The paternal side of her family hails from the Yeoheung Min clan who were granted the title of nobility and descends directly from Empress Myeongseong, who was the first Queen of Joseon assassinated by the Japanese since the foundation of the Joseon dynasty in 1392. It was known that she was more active in political affairs than the King himself and was the first Queen to have contact with the West, due to her reported outstanding diplomatic attitude.

The most notable example of people finding this royal link almost intuitively would be fashion designer Donatella Versace, who has mentioned several times that the vocalist seemed to have the grace of a princess, which is what drew her in. It has also been noted by people that she along with San seemed to have kept some of these noble mannerisms and could almost be mistaken as such at first glance.

After being recognized by the man named 'King of K-Pop' by the nation, one could argue that Himari is getting closer to sitting on a golden throne, though not ruling over a nation but an industry.

A whole lot was happening back then Don't know why things are so hectic I'ma bring back my memories, I can't even remember

Hushed conversations echoed through the apartment building as the seven trainees opened the door to their shared space, only to still in shock at the sight of movement on their couch, although the figure was much too small to pose a threat. Tension instantly dissolved when the living room lights revealed that the strange shadow was none other than the young girl they had become closely acquainted with over the past months, sleepy eyes struggling to remain open. In what seemed near panic one of the older members ran over to take her in his arms, brushing away hair strands still dripping with melting snowflakes while inspecting every visible inch of skin.

'What are you doing here, Hima ?!' He nearly yelled, causing his sister to flinch slightly. 'I'm sorry I just...does Hanzo know ?'

'Nii-Chan is still locked up in his room, but I left him a note saying that I was coming to visit you!' She said proudly, holding out a bus ticket. 'Aunt-...mom and dad said we'd go together but they had to work late again...so I came alone.'

The shattering of a normally hardened heart was almost audible as he realized what was implied in this short explanation; with the only remaining biological tie she had being completely lost in grief, there was no one at home to care for the clearly distressed child and much like every other day, loneliness haunted her. It should have been tears marking her flushed cheeks, yet the usual beaming smile so adored by their town's elderly remained unmoving, as though nothing was wrong, as though the weight of independence was not placed upon her frail shoulders.

'G-Go greet everyone, I'm gonna get you some milk.' He finally spoke up after clearing his throat, hurrying into the kitchen.

Running into the young men's arms, the little girl who remained blissfully unaware of the emotional breakdown her brother was nearing with every thought regarding the situation at home began introducing them to the small tiger plush sent by their oldest sibling. While closing the fridge, the rapper in training could not help but to admire the radiant smile adorning bruised lips, taking a moment to laugh at the little fangs he had always found rather odd. Perhaps this was what happiness truly felt like, not simply certain moments in life but the appearance of someone so bright they acted as the sun chasing away grey clouds without effort.

When the younger rapper entered the living area with the intention to relieve stress by watching whatever movie channels would play at this hour, he found the lovely intruder sound asleep on her brother's chest as one of his hands soothingly ran along her back, the other thoughtfully hovering over a gauze covered ear. Watching this loving interaction made him realize that this broken little girl was one of the few things keeping his friend going in such hard times, yet this was also saddening news as he knew the weight of life made him rely on such her unknowingly.

Their bond brought warmth into everyone's hearts as despite the harshness of trainee life the members had watched their friend take the little time they had off to pick her up at school, to teach her basketball, to take her to the zoo, spending almost every second taking care of his unfortunately neglected sister. The older members however were aware of darker truths behind this relationship as they bore witness to the impact his poor mental state was having on this already fragile girl, one drunken night revealing that it was her who saved his life while in the midst of grieving. They knew the man made desperate attempts at becoming the presence she was missing, yet the child kept so closely to herself that it was clear most days were spent with very little interaction, leaving her to navigate an unsure world alone.

'What the hell am I doing, Hoseok ?' The man asked absently, pulling the blanket over his sister as she stirred slightly. 'I've been with her since she was a baby, but when she needs me the most, when her entire world just fell apart, I can't even show up.'

The responsibility had fallen on his shoulders out of nowhere during a time where he could not even care for himself, and not once could he blame the girl's biological brother as grief was slowly eating the young man alive no matter how hard he tried to fight. Times where the high schooler stepped outside for more than academics seemed almost distant to their sister, who often slept in front of his door as an attempt to feel even the slightest hint of his warmth that once served as comfort during stormy nights despite the lack of response that her endless affectionate actions faced.

'I don't think she sees it that way.' His friend carefully sat next to the couch, observing the sleeping figure for a moment. 'Hima is such a loving soul, I doubt hatred is even part of her vocabulary. The world is just too harsh for someone like her...that's all.'

'We'll make it.' Yoongi whispered. 'I have to make it all worth it, I can't have abandoned her and Hanzo for nothing.'

Hands that had never once trembled until this very moment gently grazed over the fresh scars that seemed much too foreign on once flawless skin, finding some humor in the fact that they closely resembled tiger markings. He wondered whether this was the universe claiming that her soft demeanor was hiding the fighting spirit of this animal, or whether this was simply some sick joke after having forever broken a heart too pure for this universe.

'I promise, I'll make you proud.'

The man lets himself fall backwards yet instead of crashing onto him she lands on a couch surrounded by screens, displaying images of canvases covered in black scribbles accompanied by broken paintbrushes, a bird clawing at its cage and gloved hands wrapping around her body, all the while she seems to be fast asleep.

.. She wakes up crying, instantly reaching for the camera supposed to be on the table next to her only to find its broken pieces spelling the words 'Face It'. Looking down she then realizes that her wrists are shackled, trapping her on the couch while several men force her back into a lying position with a hand covering her eyes once more.

.. Seemingly trapped in another nightmare she finds a microphone on its stand in the middle of the glass box inside which she stands and in an attempt to free herself she hurls it at the closest wall, shattering it. That very moment, her eyes open once more to the screens displaying the same words as Hongjoong's phones with soundwaves indicating that they were being played through a speaker, causing the young woman to cover her ears while screaming.

In a state of pure panic she throws the remote sitting on the coffee table into the largest monitor which causes a glitch to appear on the surrounding televisions, stopping the figures in their tracks as they ran towards her. Now curled up into a sitting fetal position both hands come to tangle themselves in her hair as teary eyes look into the camera, one more shackle visible around her neck.

In the segment 'Himari's Chains' we find out that in order to escape the grief of losing her parents amongst other negative emotions that followed, she turned to the pursuit of art, creating something beautiful any time happiness vanished even for a moment. With these distractions her focus was on fixing the sketch's crooked lines, her voice's false note, the flaw in her body's movements in contrast to the rhythm, drowning out the ever growing darkness inside of her own mind.

These 'shadows' eventually grew so dark that they locked her in a never ending cycle of nightmares, tears and despair, closing herself off to everyone without even knowing why, helplessly watching her own self. These created chains that were now forcing her to face every piece of darkness that had spent years being ignored, engulfing her with every passing moment.

Throughout the pitch black streets only occasional flashlight beams illuminated every narrow alleyway, unaware that merely a few feet away their target was crouching impossibly low behind a dumpster, attempting to silence choked sobs. In her shaking hands laid a captain's insignia having been clearly ripped from its wearer's jacket, the only piece left of the group - aside from fistfuls of white feathers - she failed to help.

Seonghwa's lingering touch now seemed to burn guilt right through her skin, the young woman's mind replaying the scene countless times - shouting voices alerting others of their whereabouts, her blissfully unaware self skipping towards her friends, the eldest's horrified gaze as he roughly shoved the maknae into a cramped space between two run down shops. Completely frozen in sheer terror all she could do was watch as the group fought to the extent their muscles would allow them to, the same person who had saved her turning around one last time with a finger to his lips as if begging their precious blue bird to stay hidden.

'You seem awfully far from your nest, birdie.'

The taunting voice triggered an almost instant flight response deprived of any rational thought and the second she managed to squeeze through the alleyway's tight walls - losing a few feathers in the process - the carefully crafted cage closed in on its prey, dozens of men adorned in black blocking every inch of the ground around her. Their movements were eerily synched as two of them twisted the defenseless bird's arms painfully tightly behind her back, the feeling of cold chains digging into her limbs' skin stopping any futile escape attempt.

Despite the knowledge that all was hopeless her body would not stop writhing against its bindings, the guilt driving every movement - his eyes had silently begged her to keep standing, his back had shielded her from their sight and his legs ran to lure them away. Pleas for help echoed uselessly in the empty streets, heard only by a singular figure standing in the darkness who she attempted to reach out to only for his head to shake and form to disappear as quickly as it had come.

'I can't...I have to get out...' She cried, resistance stopped by a heavy hit to her gut which made her knees collapse onto the pavement. 'I have to go save them...if I don't...they'll have sacrificed themselves for nothing...'

Five years ago they had all freed one another from the burdens of life, meeting in a rundown warehouse they were quick to make into a home as they let music and laughter carry their every step. Then they went from mere rebellious teenagers to the liberators of a world that lacked the very things which had saved them; emotions and artistic expression. Now eight of them had lost that freedom to feel, the freedom that gave them the impression to soar above the very world and only one remained, the one who had brought them together by inadvertence - a girl whose tears now burned her eyes.

Time seemed to slow when an excruciating pain rippled through her entire body, the spots in which blue wings once proudly sat now tainted a sickening shade of red as heaps of blue feathers fell to the ground. The scream of pain ripping through the young woman's throat was muted to her own ears, feeling only the strenuous vibrations as warm blood trickled down her mutilated back in a twisted symbol of her now lost freedom.

With the very notion of time distorted by the unrelenting pain forcing a heavy haze into her mind she could not tell how long she had been kneeling in a puddle of blood and feathers, only that every single one of the perpetrators had time to leave. Weakening by the second she could not even gather enough energy to attempt an escape nor move her hands that were now almost completely numb due to being strung up in such a manner; all she could do was mumble apologies over and over to the members she would never save.
