There is another way to have SSL certificate which is a freeway. Cpanel is offering free SSL which by powered by Comodo. You just need to contact your web hosting provider to make it activate. Once enabled the cpanel authority will assign the SSL for that domain and will be activated in between 8 to 12 hours from cpanel authority. The auto ssl option can be enabled for the domain from whm panel of the server and it is valid for each 90 days period and after that, it will be renewed automatically from cpanel authority.

There is same option for Plesk panel, too. In the plesk panel, you need to install ” let’s encrypt ” plugin so that from that “let’s encrypt ” will be available for domains on that server. You can install SSL certificate from the plugin.

In this way, your websites will not be blocked by Google which is very important for search engine ranking level of your website. Also, all data will be gathered in a secure way.

Should I do anything else after activation of SSL?

You should also rebuild/create your sitemap again after activating your SSL certificate. Also, you should make sure all images and other kinds of stuff in the website fetching from https URL rather than HTTP. Web browsers will not show your website %100 secure if some images, videos or banners fetch from ‘http’ URL.  You just need to change URLs as HTTPS if you face such an issue.
