Ethereum Merge - Ethereum is transitioning to Proof-of-Stake
#Ethereum Merge is scheduled between 13-15 September. Merge is a Ethereum network’s shift to proof-of-stake (PoS), it's new system beacon chain (consensus mechanism) for authenticating crypto transactions. The new system will replace proof-of-work (PoW) mainnet and is expected to cut its energy costs by 99.95%, but it won’t decrease network fees or improve transaction speeds. Read the full article
