Did some people just forget that Roger is a grown man, or…?

I feel like some people in the DSaF/Dialtown fandom tend to infantilize him a LOT. And it makes me really confused and a little upset cuz… just because he’s kinda sweet, he stutters, he’s anxious, and whatever else, doesn’t mean he’s ‘innocent’ or ‘too pure for this world’ as some people describe him. And ofc I know that sometimes people say this sort of stuff as a joke - Like, “omgg he’s so babygirl”, - and I understand that. I do that too, but I find it weird as hell when I see others genuinely treating Roger like an innocent “sMoL bEaN”, and as I said before, infantilizing him.

I know it’s not really that big of a deal, but it’s just something that bothers me and I wanted to say smth about it. Hopefully I’m also not the only one who’s noticed this.

[edit: I was thinking and I literally just remembered- in dsaf 3 Roger mentions that he was an alcoholic and he went through a divorce. Wow guys that’s so pure and innocent of him!!!!!1!1! (It’s not)]

I HAD THE WILDEST DREAM LAST NIGHT!!! ROGER-- HE WAS ADDED INTO THE SUN AND MOON POKEMON GAMES AS THE REPLACEMENT FOR THE MAIN CHARACTER!! And- and if all of his pokemon fainted HE could fight his opponent HIMSELF And-- get this ROGER KNEW FUCKING THUNDERBOLT???? So- he proceeded to- uhm, like, shoot a thunderbolt from out of his dial And obliterate his opponent. Completely. He killed a man. the end.
