Hello!! i was wondering on how you plan ur fics?? Ik this sounds kinda weird lol but I vaguely remember u saying in a note in AMULGOE like u had the w h o le d a m n f i c planned out and that's incredible and as someone who writes fics, i was wondering how you plan them out! thank you!

Hi! okay...someone asked me this question some time ago and i was just as confused then as i am now as to how to answer that because...normally when i come up with an idea, or i have this idea for an idea (vague wow) it just...forms completely in my head?? it uh, i have the characters nearly entirely fleshed out at once, their backgrounds, how they’re connected- uh, in AMULGOEs case that entire story line just hit me in the middle of my exam, and i had the beginning, main story arcs like the prison arc, nightmare planet, heiho, and the final battle in Tayi just all fully formed. there were things that i changed later on of course but uh what i do and what i keep in mind is, with AMULGOE and ADEGU especially, there are a lot of underlying stories, plots, and strange questions that need answering, so my goal is to answer each and every single answer through the story- so the process of answering those questions, normally writes the story. for example i had heiho fully visually formed in my mind but i needed a way for the Nava to get there, for the environment, and for the history, and how that would effect the characters, how each Being would see Heiho, how they would react- so writing that develops the character as well as adds to their story which makes up the rest of the story. i write my fic but when i reread it i put myself in the pov of the reader and ask questions regarding plot and pacing and character developmenti hope that helps? i’m sorry if that was all confusing T_T but i found that in my case, for a lot of what i write, it’s based on my very VERY visual imagination so i just word my imagination into a story....i’m making this way more confusing and weirder than it needs to be i am sorrybut!! there is something i’ve started doing; i have a specific document where i write, in CAPS AND BOLD all the main points i should never forget- this really helps, especially now with my age *cries in the corner*

HELLO AGAIN !!

I’m very sorry for the lack of posting recently!! Honestly I don’t have a good excuse for not posting- a lot has happened since the end of februar ! Here are a few noteworthy events since then :)

1 mars: Went to an adorable shop with hønemama- nothing crazy, just a very simple, Scandinavian, craft/supply store that had a wonderful aesthetic. I am so in love with Norwegian design taste; it is so simple and modern yet visually pleasing. It’s pretty clear that my (biological) mom and I have this same taste because parts of our house in VT resemble this style very much. 

2 mars: Made pyramids in gym !! I love how gym is a thing here (I haven’t had gym since middle school). I also think it’s funny that we do things like build pyramids- in the US it would be considered way too dangerous, but here the higher the better !  

3 mars: Birthday par-tayy! Birthday parties are really common here, unlike in the US. I’ve noticed that get togethers are a little more planned out here (in part because teens don’t have cars) whereas in VT social plans come up out of thin air, often the day of. 

4+5 mars: Another hyttatur! My fotball team stayed at our coach’s ski cabin at Strandafjellet skisenter for the weekend, and it was a blast!! The hytta was a ski-in ski-out type of place, which is self-explanatory :) There was a superrr nice hottub looking out over the whole mountain/base which was amazing at night. It was a beautiful cabin with a prime location !! Out of the three mountains I’ve been to in Norway this was the biggest and had the most breathtaking views/diverse terrain. Once again the weather was perfect- blue skies, crisp, groomed snow and no big lift lines. There were two faces to the mountain you could ski on facing eachother. The mountain consisted of T-bars and gondolas/chairlifts. I had a realization that one of the reasons the skiing seems more vast here is because there aren’t any glades/woods covering the mountain, so you can see many of the trails from any point. The trails are distinguishable because they are groomed, but they aren’t defined by trees on the sides like they are in New England. Regardless, it was amazing, and at one point the mountains/fjord at the summit made me tear up because it was so intensely stunning. FUN FUN helg (weekend)!

6 mars: Helge and I went on a short hike that overlooked Ålesund. We drove about halfway up the mountain to a pretty packed parking lot (to be fair it was a small parking lot) on a twisty, narrow road and walked for only about 25 minutes to the top. There were many built in steps made of wood, but it was decently steep. We got there just as the sun was setting which was beautiful. I feel as though I’m overusing the word beautiful, but there are honestly so many gorgeous sights here :))

10, 11+12 mars: ANOTHER hyttatur!! I am so lucky to be skiing as much as I am!! This past weekend a few of my friends and I stayed at our friend Rebekka’s hytta at Bjorli skisenter, where I’ve been two times before (to the mountain, not the hytta❄️). After school on Friday we took a bus to a train station and from there to the base of Bjorli. While I do miss driving, little trips like these are so fun, and I wouldn’t do them if I had access to a car. We walked to the hytta and had dinner/played card games until we were met by Rebekka’s dad later that evening with our gear🎿. We headed to the slopes at around ten the next morning and skied until four with just one lunch break- the conditions were mint. It was so, so fun, and so nice to feel all rosy and exhausted at the end of the day. We had a yummy taco dinner (v common meal in Norway if I haven’t mentioned that earlier). Today we slept in and after a lazy Sunday brunch went sledding!!!! I hadn’t “played in the snow” since grade school, and boy oh boy was it refreshing to do so 😋 We packed up and drove home after tuckering ourselves out like lillebarn (little kids). Like the rest of the packed weekends I’ve had here, it went by way too quickly and was another fond Norwegian memory made.

13 mars: This brings me to right now, 12:55 am, when I should be sleeping ! Thanks for checkin’ in and have a great week!!
