In official art, skitarii seem to just tuck their pants inside the socket, but surely that can't be comfortable or practical, unless I suppose they're trying to prevent chafing and have no liners (which is actually probably pretty likely, considering 40k). Not that I'm excempt from that, I just don't want to cover up the cool legs with pants - though that's probably the meta reason as to why they do that.

Maybe a hybrid version that also uses a vacuum#this is not a colour change for his design I just wanted to use some other colours for this one. think of it like jojo lighting#oh! right! in case people are unfamiliar liners are put between your skin and your socket to attach it to the prosthesis and to#protect your skin. some liners even come with an aloe vera coating though i don't think that's common. and you gotta keep your liners clean#edit: i have learned that while you're not supposed to have your own pants or leggings or anything in the socket#some people do do that. and it's like well i can't force you to not do that. and if it works for them sure whatever.
