#mine#It's called cover up dear#but no I HATE this trope#when a character states they're ugly when in fact they're gorgeous#I can deal with it in rapunzel's case as she was isolated and told everyday of her life that she was ugly so she really did not know better#And I can even deal with it in Jane from descendants case#as she was surrounded by people who looked like models all the time#so it makes since why she'd have low self-esteem#but in most cases they're in the “real” world and are more than aware they fit the standards of beauty#I still like this story though#I just want to mooch off your luck#I just want to freeload on your luck
