#I can talk about her for hours
i love your writing so so much !! chapter 8 had me going hgnnfnfnfng....ALSO. thank u for for not making Lucky the timid weak innocent can-do-no-wrong kind of person. i hate when writers do that!! it's so repetitive so your fic is like a breath of fresh air :) love your writing and i can't wait for the next chapter!!!
Thank you so much! And yes, Lucky was always going to be a member of STARS, so making her timid didn’t make sense to me. She’s tough as nails and a fighter, even if she is emotional and a crybaby. I feel like those things can be true all at once. I didn’t want to write this uwu virginal damsel in distress, but I also didn’t want her to be this hardass femme fatale either. She’s just… human.
And, funnily enough, when I first started plotting this fic, she didn’t even have a background beyond being in STARS and knowing Wesker and Chris. But as I was fleshing out the storyline, considering what her relationships to the RPD and it’s other officers were, things just kinda took off.
I’m so attached to Lucky now. She’s so relatable to me because I find solace in her rage, her grief, her empathy, and her desire to do what’s best, even when she messes up or makes a bad decision. She’s clever and funny, but a little clueless when it comes to people having crushes on her. She’s become my favorite “oc” despite being a reader insert.

Hello fellow Kougyoku lover, I want to know when exactly you started liking Kougyoku and your opinion on her character. By the way, your blog is great.
Hello and thank you for your kind words! =)
I admit that at the beginning I wasn’t too fond of Kougyoku thinking she would be just another tsundere/fangirl type of character. But as I continued to read the manga, she proved me wrong. Because Kougyoku is such a complex and well written character and I love her wholeheartedly both for her virtues and her flaws.
In my opinion, she’s the best written female magi character and she’s the only one that keeps getting development on every arc. Also, I love how she doesn’t fit into the typical stereotypes. Like, she can be a capable djinn user but also be interested in fashion and liking wearing make up. Or she can be very emotional and express herself often via crying but on the same time she’s one of the most important ladies of the magi world (aka she’s a powerful empress). Kougyoku is really a blessing, and I thank Ohtaka for creating such interesting and inspiring female character.
