#◜✧ . ❪ muse. soma date. ❫#orient spoilers /#I don't think I'll ever get over Soma thinking only the highest of yellow blade bushi while disliking his own red color...#and the part that gets me the most is how Naoe was in the same situation; but unlike Soma (and Seiroku) Naoe received support#and wasn't allowed to fall down the hell hole by being all on his lonesome. He had Tatsuomi and Kuroko to back and build him up#Neither Soma NOR Seiroku had anyone else to rely on. If anything they both had people to rely on THEM wo realizing how harsh that burden is#I do think it's very interesting how they had different approaches tho. Seiroku tried to bond with his allies; Soma withdrew into himself#They both had to sacrifice so much of themselves for others; and Soma still does it for his band even if it means killing his friends#which also means he's (obviously) taken great care of Seiroku during his stay at the date. As a yellow blade AND a 'new Date member'#I can't believe Brit and I have been cooking THIS exquisitely a whole year before Ohtaka gave us any info to go off of#I'd never have imagined we'd get canon confirmation that Soma and Seiroku are this similar back when we first met Soma#I need to go back to projects after I finish eating but GODDD so many thoughts swirling in my brain; none uni related!!!
