Casey, in short, just wants to share their experiences and thoughts and perhaps promote greater understanding and appreciation for others like him. Also, with a blog, they can dump what’s in their head without derailing conversations with friends! Yippee!

Hey guys, thought I’d go ahead and bring up Artfight since it’s almost that time of year!

I’ve been doing it since 2017, and wanted to see if anyone else did it, so I can maybe do some gifts this year for those that have an account. (Also Toby and Vulcan are on there) Here is my account: https://artfight.net/~Kurtaztrophe

For those that are new, read below to learn about it!

-- For those that don’t know what it is, it’s a website that hosts the biggest art trading/gifting event ever. It has 2 teams and the team with the highest art points at the end of the event wins! The Event is ALL July (and a bit into august). It starts July 1st.

A few of the rules are:

- All art for the event has to be made DURING the event. You can’t start your gifts before July 1st, as it’s creating and will be removed by the mods.

- You must be 13 or older to join

- Only 1 account per person

- Attacks must be your own work. Also can’t use bases, doll makers, and things like backgrounds you find online.

- Illegal and sexually explicit content is not allowed in any form.

To clear up any other confusion:

- Art you make are called “attacks” and art people make you is called “defenses”. Also drawing for someone that has attacked you is called a “revenge”

- You can choose who you want to draw for and don’t have to revenge/draw back if you don’t want too. It’s 100% up to you how much you do. So no pressure! It’s basically a game about gifting, so no one should expect stuff back.

- If you draw for someone on the same team, it’s called “Friendly Fire”, and it worth no points for your team. (I personally don’t care about FF, I draw for everyone.)

Artfight also has a discord that’s linked on the Artfight site, where you can get updates, and during the offseason you can do the discord art minigames! I’m in the server and do the minigames a lot. So there is a chance you’d see me in there. It’s a huge server, so if you don’t like very active places I don’t recommend it for you. Even more during the event as it’s wild in the channels.
