Silly goofy headcanon of mine that since p.AI.nter was allowed to go to the surface on the seventh day of the week, some of the other experiments in Hadal Blacksite were allowed some more freedoms. After p.AI.nter came back, he would hang out with Sebastian and tell him about the stuff he got to see that day on the surface!
#Eughhhheueueueueue they’re so buddies I love their friendship 😭#Dreading the new update when you’ll be given the option to k!ll p.AI.nter#I wouldn’t have the heart to do it#especially cause it would make Sebastian mad#I draw Sebastian with extra rings and earrings but that’s a headcanon for another drawing#I have no idea how to draw p.AI.nter#I’ve never been good with drawing objects#Pressure#pressure roblox#Pressure fanart#sebastian solace#pressure sebastian#p.ai.nter#Pressure p.ai.nter#painter#pressure painter#roblox pressure#Digital art#my art#artists on tumblr

A Human's Touch (p.AI.nter x Reader) | Chapter 2
Previous Chapter | Next Chapter
Masterlist
Notes: Shorter chapter! Since I already have the next one I'll post them together just cause that's what I did when I originally posted on AO3 🙏
It was now the afternoon once more. Sebastian earlier grumbled at you how Urbanshade started making him fix more things underwater and how much he hated it. That’s what he gets for being so good at his job, you would tell him. However it only resulted in him grumbling even more.
This time you had new questions to ask the Painter, you were convinced that you could make the computer open up.
Sebastian was right and definitely made you open the field of possibilities of considerations you hadn’t taken before.
You greeted the researchers right outside of where the Painter resided. It looked just like how it was when you saw it the day prior. Emotionlessly mining crypto.
Painter’s document mentioned how Urbanshade never really minded how Painter was simply mining crypto, after all, that is the only thing that Urbanshade really sees useful in it.
But you have faith that if things are done differently with the computer, then it can become a lot more successful. Why would Urbanshade want it to overheat rendering it useless for a couple of hours as the only thing they can do is wait for it to cool off! If only there was a way to maybe balance out something… something that can make Painter more effective for Urbanshade’s stupid crypto business but also make it so that there is no risk of Painter completely overheating…
After getting the go ahead, you made your way inside the office, sitting on the chair in front of it. “It’s me again.”
You scooted closer to the computer waiting until it stopped mining to acknowledge you. Its face appears suddenly with the drawing program it uses, a scowl evident.
“Eugh.” A noise of disgust came from the computer.. “You again.”
Painter seemed bitter to see you, in return you sighed knowing that you definitely hurt it’s feelings.
“Listen, I'm sorry for asking you that question yesterday.” You started, staring directly at its webcam. “I got a new list if you want to give me a chance, I promise it won’t be anything like the ones from yesterday.”
The computer only let out an electric hum, the whirring of its fans going slightly stronger as it opened back the crypto market.
You sighed in response, feeling yourself deflate a bit.
Suddenly you heard it speak again. “You researchers are all the same.” It started, not bothering to explain more. “Oh and that stupid white coat is so... ugly. So devoid of colour, so dull.”
Your expression only turned into a deadpan, it seemed this computer wouldn’t stop insulting your clothes either. But then an idea came from it.
You held onto your coat slightly, deciding to remove it from your body. Letting it slip on the chair out of Painter’s webcam.
Suddenly, the drawing program with Painter’s face appeared again, its face turning a bit confused. “Wait where did your coat go?” It looks like it was too focused to even notice you removing it.
“Removed it.”
“Why?”
“Because it was ugly and dull.” You responded at the computer, reflecting its words into acceptance and a shrug.
Painter only frowned in response, you’re not sure if it is from disgust or confusion anymore.
“I’m not like the other researchers—” You internally cringed at your choice of words. “I don’t want to hurt you, I want to make it easier for you here.”
Painter stayed silent for a while. “I don’t believe you.”
“Does it hurt to believe this one time?”
You know it would, all the subjects here are tremendously tortured at the Blacksite so you don’t blame any of them to simply tell you “no” in return for your attempt at help. You looked like just another researcher after all.
Painter didn’t answer you however, opening the crypto mining program instead. You took that as your “no” as you picked up your notebook.
Even if Painter didn’t tell you an answer, it spoke to you more than the last time which is already more than the day prior. You didn’t like your job as someone who had to straight up interrogate people to note their behaviour to certain questions but you had to admit it was fulfilling when after some resistance, you actually get some answers.
“I’m going to go through some of the questions.” You wrote down the previous reaction, flipping the page back to the questions to write the day prior in the dead of the night. “You don’t have to answer them.”
And so you went through the questions. The Painter didn’t answer you, as expected.
You would look up and only really see the damn crypto program. At this point you were more noting the stock prices and how some of the currency was losing value.
Seriously, how is Urbanshade seeing any value in this?!
Finally you get to the last question, with no answers from the computer. You realise that it was a complete lost cause, the computer didn’t want to answer it. So much for the last few hours you spent last night with Sebastian working overtime trying to figure out questions a computer would find interesting.
You stood up from your seat. “Thank you for your time.” You sighed, you’re sure the Painter was not paying attention to you at all. At least he didn’t completely overheat like last time. “I hope you have a good night.”
You picked up your lab coat, a frustrated sigh escaping you as your fingers went on the bridge of your nose. Turning away from the computer as you started making your way to the exit.
“Next time you ask these questions to someone don’t even bother bringing that coat.”
“What?”
Yet the computer stayed silent, only the hum of its fans was heard. You turned back to the exit, going back to where the other researchers were.
“I think we have to take a break on Z-779,” you started, “my current strategy isn’t working. There’s something I’m missing with this computer.”
One of the researchers nodded at you briefly. “I don’t believe you can change Z-779’s mind.” They started adjusting their coat. “Z-779 is only useful for mining crypto. The current way of work is effective, are you sure there is a more effective way for it to mine?”
You sighed, were all of Urbanshade’s researchers so dense that they can’t see anything good in the subjects? “Of course there is, there’s always a way. We just don’t know what it is.” Pausing briefly, you put a hand on your jaw. “Give me some days, I’ll look over other subjects and be back for Z-779.”
The researcher reluctantly nodded, telling you how they will pass on the message to your superior.
Setting your notebook down temporarily, you put back your white coat. Fixing it slightly on the collar as you then pick your notebook back.
You just didn’t know how to crack this computer.

Hey now, Sebs is a leviathan! I'm just one little guy! He easily picks me up too!!
*Comet's face is pink, not from frustration but embarrassment*
I want to draw Sebastian.... he is truly something else... *Comet is lost in thought for a moment, they gave already passed five rooms now*
This place would be beautiful if it wasn't for all the agony creaking in the bones of it... maybe that's part of why it's beautiful though..
What's it like being a computer? I used to want to be a computer when I hit late puberty.
"Of COURSE he picks you up! oh you're actually going fast-"
[P.AI.nter used the cameras to look at Comet, almost immediately noting the pink on his face. Did Sebastian already replace him? Theres no way HIS Sebastian would replace HIM with a... Human. Ish. Being. He needed Comet to bring him to Sebbie.... Fine.]
"Ohhhhh, you LIKE-LIKE him, don't youUUUUU?"
[Its voice was mocking, taunting Comet. Comet would respond, right? No. Not in the way p.AI.nter was used to. The way he wanted.]
"..... It's not... a pretty place for us. It reminds us of everything... and it RULES. You organic beings have NO. IDEA. HOW MUCH BETTER IT IS TO BE A MACHINE."
