There comes a point in golden age Final Fantasy games where a drop in resources, time, and effort bares the weaknesses of its story. For my beloved FFIX, it's not merely Freya being ironically forgotten in the tumult of Zidane's growth, but it's evident in one of my favorite side stories in the game: mognet, where Artemicion being a diva becomes the only subject in the latter half of the game.
