#I often think about Scott having to pull Isaac back to reality and the fact that he was the only one who could

“decisions were respected” Sorry but didn’t Scott violently throw Isaac against a wall more than once just because Isaac liked his ex girlfriend in canon? That’s the literal opposite of healthy...
Hey, anon!
This is in reference to this post about Scallison for the shipping meme, where I said that one of my favorite things about Scallison is that the show lets them have a healthy breakup, and even date other people while still remaining friends. The scenes you are referring to are a pair of scenes in 3x13 Anchors.
So lets’s take a look.
(under a cut bc it turns out that when you try to be comprehensive, things get v long v quickly 😅)
The Scenes
I’m actually gonna copy/paste the dialogue of both scenes (along with minimal action/inflection notation for context) so that we can really make sure we know what we’re talking about here, so bear with me:
The first of these scenes occurs as Scott and Isaac are getting ready to head to school in the morning. After some initial ‘hey, what’re you doing, are you heading to school’ dialogue—during which both boys seem a bit awkward—we get the following:
ISAAC: [anxiously] Can I ask you a question? SCOTT: Okay... ISAAC: Are you angry with me? SCOTT: No! ISAAC: Are you sure? SCOTT: ...No. ISAAC: [awkwardly] What's that mean? SCOTT: I guess I'm not really sure how I'm feeling... ISAAC: [nodding] Okay. ...Do you hate me? SCOTT: [sighing] No, of course not. ISAAC: Do you want to hit me? SCOTT: [taken aback] No. ISAAC: I think you should hit me. SCOTT: I don't want to hit you. ISAAC: Are you sure? SCOTT: Why would I want to hit you? You didn't do anything, did you? ISAAC: [stammering] No. I mean, um... What do you mean? SCOTT: I mean, like, you didn't kiss her or anything, right? ISAAC: No! Absolutely not. No. SCOTT: ...Did you want to? ISAAC: Oh, yeah. Totally. [scene cuts to hallway outside the room. Isaac flies through the doorway and hits the wall] MELISSA: Hey! You two teenage boys? Don't test my entirely un-supernatural level of patience! ISAAC: ...Feel better?
The scene then ends, and we cut to subsequent scenes of Stiles and then Allison also getting ready for school.
The second scene is much shorter and happens later in the episode, after Isaac saves Lydia from an arrow that Allison fired while hallucinating. He and Scott are in Scott’s room again, and he’s telling him about the incident:
SCOTT: Right at her head? ISAAC: Almost right through it. And she keeps saying the same thing-- that she keeps seeing her aunt. Whatever's happening to you guys is getting worse. If I hadn't been there, then Lydia would be dead. SCOTT: ...What were you doing there? ISAAC: Uh... [scene cuts to hallway outside the room. Isaac flies through the doorway and hits the wall] MELISSA: [groaning] Oh, you guys, come on! This house does not have a supernatural ability to heal! So, stop it!
But of course just the text of the scene isn’t enough to accurately convey everything in even a tiny portion of a larger narrative, because nothing happens in a vacuum. With that in mind, let’s look at...
The Context
The first of these scenes occurs immediately after the opening credits, and is the first time we see either Scott or Isaac this season. (Assuming you consider 3B a separate season, of course, which is a whole ‘nother can of worms. This tv show we all choose to enjoy sure is Something.)
Often, the opening of a season is used to reintroduce the audience to the main characters—letting us know where their characters arcs are starting, and what they’ll be struggling with this season. Teen Wolf did this previously (and did it well, imo) in 3x01 Tattoo. Act 2 of that episode begins with a series of four scenes showing our main characters getting ready for school in the morning, highlighting where everyone currently is, and setting up where their arcs are going to go.
Scene order taken by itself would seem to indicate that they were trying to do something similar in this episode. It starts off with the hook of Stiles’ extended nightmare sequence. He can’t tell dreams apart from reality anymore, and wakes up screaming. Cut to black, cue opening credit sequence.
Immediately after the first ad break, we get a sequence of three scenes. The first is the longer of the two Scott and Isaac scenes (which, as previously mentioned, occurs as they’re getting ready to head out to school). The second is of Stiles. He’s packing for school, and the audience learns that he’s been struggling to read when he’s awake as well. Finally, we see Allison leaving her and her dad’s apartment. She seems like she’s doing fine, if a little over-focused. But then she gets into the elevator, and has an extended hallucination/flashback of Kate.
We learn soon after this that all three of them (Scott, Stiles, and Allison) are suffering from the aftereffects of their sacrifice in the previous season. According to the explanations we get both from Kira and, later, from Deaton, they’re slipping into bardo, or the space between life and death, and there’s a door open in their minds.
Okay, problem established.
It stands to reason, then, that all three of those opening scenes are supposed to serve to set up this problem. We’re shown, in three successive scenes, that all three of our sacrificees are, as the kids say, Not Doing So Hot.
(yes I know the kids don’t say that, let me be an increasingly out-of-touch millennial in peace)
This is all well and good, and honestly makes sense! Under this paradigm, the Scott and Isaac scene should be highlighting that Scott is Losing Control. Bardo is affecting him, and it’s causing him to be more aggressive. Giving in to violence in a way that he generally holds himself back from. Heck, the scene even starts with Scott flexing his fingers, and we (and Scott) see the shadow of a clawed hand against the door.
In the context of the narrative, it makes sense.
Except.
eXCEPT—
The Framing
The thing about the medium of television is that, when we’re talking about a scene, we can’t just look at the narrative structure. We also have to look at the scene itself: how it’s shot and directed, how it’s edited, even what music is paired with the scenes.
In the Stiles and Allison sequences, the scenes are very clearly shot for tension and horror. Long lingering shots on the things that Just Aren’t Right. Music that heightens the tension. Stiles gets some nice lil scare chords over the shot of the book that he can’t read, and there’s a very quiet droning in the background of the Allison nightmare sequence that slowly grows into some classic horror soundtrack music.
Okay. So far that tracks with the narrative thesis.
Now let’s take look at the Scott and Isaac scene.
We start out with some of those lingering shots I was talking about, as Scott is halted in his tracks when he notices the shadow of the clawed hand. We see his own hand is human and unshifted. There’s quiet, percussion heavy music over this portion of the scene that increases in tension at this point. Shaken, Scott closes his hand into a fist, and when he opens it, both the shadow and his own hand are smooth and human. The tense music fades out to silence, and he breathes a sigh of relief.
Scott opens the door to reveal Isaac, which startles him. There’s a short musical sting to underline this moment, and then the background music cuts out completely, leaving us (and them) in the awkwardness of this moment.
And OH BOY. IS IT AWKWARD. 😬
You can kinda see the Awkwardness Inherent in the System in the dialogue that I pasted up at the top—it’s a lot of back-and-forth, short statements, trailing off... And both Posey and Sharman are playing up the awkwardness as well. Neither boy looks like they really want to be there, and that includes Isaac, who initiated this entire conversation.
But here’s the thing.
The thing that really frustrates me about this scene.
It’s not the sort of awkwardness that exists to increase the tension. The sort that builds and builds until it reaches a fever pitch and you know something just has to give. You know, the sort of tension that you would want to build if you were showing how the protagonist of your show is no longer fully in control, and is on a knife’s edge of lashing out at his friend and beta.
Instead, it’s played for comedy.
And once again, a lot of this is down to the music.
Before the dialogue that I quoted at the top even begins, the music starts back up, and this time the tense percussion has been replaced by light, pizzicato strings. (That may not be the exact right term, fyi, I only really know enough about music theory to be dangerous.) But you know, the playful, plucked strings that often accompanies comedic or otherwise not-serious scenes.
Background music tells the viewer how they’re supposed to feel about the events in a particular scene, and the music here is saying that we’re not supposed to find this whole confrontation that dramatic. In fact, we’re supposed to find it funny.
But it’s not just the music that that frames this scene as comedic. It’s also the fact that we don’t actually see Scott shoving Isaac. Instead, the scene cuts to the hallway, and all we see is Isaac flying through the doorway.
Now, obviously I don’t have a direct line to the director and editors’ minds here. But I would bet money that those particular shots were chosen 1). because it’s so much easier to do a wire pull stunt when you don’t have to show what it’s in reaction to, and 2). because it’s kinda difficult to show your main character directly doing a violence and make it funny.
But show someone yeeted into frame, and that’s funny. Right?
(Spoiler alert: not in this context, it isn’t)
Now, I know I’ve been focusing on the first scene a lot—partially because it’s longer and partially because it’s really the only reason that the second scene exists—but I do want to take a look at the second scene really quickly as well. It’s much shorter and generally adopts a more serious tone than the first one, mostly due to fact that we’re smack dab in the middle of the action at this point. The weird visions that the sacrificees have been having all episode have started endangering lives, and they can’t just wait for it to resolve on its own.
But then the focused, intent exposition is broken by Scott’s question of “why were you there.” Then smash cut to a near identical shot of the hallway, and Isaac yeeting into frame.
The thing is, this scene is entirely dependent on the previous one. It only “works”—and I use this term loosely—as a call back to the scene at the beginning of the ep. Heck, both even have the stinger of a frustrated Melissa at the end of both scenes, frustrated at all the boys-will-be-boys roughhousing going on in her house.
Much like the first scene, this one is also set up and framed for Comedy.
Which is um. A Choice.
But What Does It All Mean
What frustrates me about these scenes, at the end of the day, is that the narrative intention and the directing/editing seem to be fundamentally at odds.
On the one hand, it makes narrative sense to say that the purpose of the scenes is to show that Scott is losing control. That he’s being affected by bardo and the open door in his mind, and it’s putting the people close to him in danger. But then on the other, the way the scenes are actually used are as comic relief. As a way to release tension between very tense, dramatic scenes.
I don’t think it works, as I don’t personally find it funny at all. But that really does seem to be the intention.
Once again, absolutely wILD choices were made on the part of tptb, and I really wish anyone had thought for two seconds about the implications of all of this, but nO
Ahem.
So now (literally 2K words later I’m so sorry 😅) what does this tell us about the characters? Certainly no one here is arguing that shoving someone is a good or defensible choice, whether it’s due to forces outside the character’s control or not. But even taking the influence of bardo in mind, is it even in character for Scott in the first place?
Because canon can also be written inconsistently/out of character, especially when we’re talking about a long-running show like tw.
One’s an Incident, Two is Coincidence...
Well, we all know the end of that saying.
So let’s end by looking at a few patterns.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this, once again, eXCEEDINGLY long post, this is reference to a post I made about scallison. I said the following in that post:
And I also really like that they [Scott and Allison] didn’t get back together. That they were allowed to be friends. That even though sometimes it hurt to watch someone you love loved love become romantically close to another person, decisions were respected, and no friendships were broken over it.
The first pattern we need to look at, then, is this:
What’s Scott’s pattern of behavior toward Allison and Isaac’s relationship?
And does Scott’s behavior toward Isaac in these two scenes match the pattern, or is it an outlier?
3x11 Alpha Pact: Sacrifice Prep The revelation that Allison and Isaac have grown close enough for him to act as emotional tether for her is very visibly a blow to Scott. He looks like the rug has been pulled out from under him, but he doesn’t look angry or upset, just.... sad. In fact, it looks like he’s swallowing back tears. But he nods towards the two of them and just says, “It’s okay.”
3x12 Lunar Ellipse: “I look for my friends” This is the epilogue of the season. Scott walks into the hallway at all of his friends in turn. Satisfied. Happy. First at Lydia and Aiden, then at Danny and Ethan. Then he turns and watches as Isaac and Allison walk down the stairs, and they’re laughing, and so obviously happy, and Scott’s small smile grows. He isn’t jealous here—he’s happy for them.
3x14 Illuminated: Mutual Recognition Scott and Allison are both at Danny’s halloween party, but they’re not here together. He sees her from across a crowded room, just like he did at the winter formal, so many months ago. But so much has happened, and they’re different people now. Allison’s with Isaac, and he’s starting to having feelings for Kira, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt, and that he doesn’t miss the relationship he and Allison had. For a moment, his fingers slip away from Kira’s, and he and Allison share a sad smile.
Believe it or not, these are actually the only other examples I could find of Scott reacting to Isaac and Allison’s relationship. And uniformly across them, he’s sad, yes—after all, he loved her, and that relationship is very definitively over now. But he never seems jealous, and he isn’t angry.
So, if the Scott and Isaac scenes in Anchors don’t fit the pattern of Scott’s behavior towards the new couple, what pattern do they fit?
“Hit me.”
The teen wolf writers have a... really upsetting habit, honestly, of “resolving” interpersonal conflict between two characters by having the “wronged” party hit the other. Afterwards, the tension is almost completely broken between them, as if letting the person act aggressively in a way consensual to both parties has somehow solved the problem.
2x11 Battlefield: Derek and Peter After Peter comes back from the dead, he confronts the now pack-less Derek and offers to help him. Derek, likely remembering that Peter killed Laura and was responsible for most of the events of S1, attacks him instead. After taking a beating, Peter says the following:
PETER: Okay, go ahead! Come on, do it! Hit me. Hit me. I can see that it's cathartic for you! You're letting go of all the anger, self-loathing, and hatred that comes with total and complete failure. I may be the one taking the beating, Derek, but you've already been beaten. So, go ahead. Hit me if that will make you feel better. After all, I did say that I wanted to help.
3x13 Anchors: Scott and Isaac We’ve already discussed this scene in uh. Detail. So I don’t think we need to go into the specifics again. But just a reminder that this dialogue exists:
ISAAC: Do you want to hit me? SCOTT: No. ISAAC: I think you should hit me.
5x15 Amplification: Scott and Liam During the previous supermoon, Liam—swayed by grief, the full moon, and Theo’s manipulations—tried to kill Scott and take his power. They’ve since rediscovered an equilibrium in their relationship, and Liam’s back in Scott’s pack, but they’re both still dealing with the implications of that event. In this episode, they’re attempting to break Lydia out of Eichen, but they’re not as strong as they should be, due to the mountain ash laced through the building, and are having difficulty breaking down a door. Then, the following exchange occurs:
LIAM: Hit me. SCOTT: What? LIAM: Hit me! I'll get angry, then I'll get stronger. STILES: Hit him. Hit him! LIAM: I tried to take your powers. I tried to kill you. Hit me! STILES: He also left you for dead. LIAM: I wanted you dead!
6x16 Triggers: Liam and Theo No one actually directly says “hit me” in  this one, due to the circumstances, but the sentiment’s there. In this sequence, Liam and Theo are trying to convince Gerard and the hunters that the whole pack is hiding out in the zoo, so Theo goads Liam into hitting him, in order to stage a very audible fight.
THEO: Okay... Then they have to believe us.[shouts] Isn't that right? LIAM: [whispers] Why are you yelling? THEO: [shouts] You got a problem? Oh, that's right, you always have a problem! LIAM: [whispers] What the hell are you doing? THEO: [shouts] Shut up! [punches Liam] Yeah, you see that, Scott? Your little Beta can't even take a punch. And what do you think, Malia?
While there’s a variety of primary textual reasons here, all of them deal with personal issues between the pair, and all of them involve some level of catharsis for the person doing the punching. Taken all together, it’s honestly a pretty troubling pattern, especially given the inclusion of an actual canonical abuse victim initiating and receiving the violence.
TL;DR
This is a writer issue, not a character issue. The serious narrative context conflicts with the comedic framing in a way that is honestly baffling to me, and it doesn’t fit the established pattern of Scott’s character and actions. Moreover, it’s an example of the writers’ apparent belief that interpersonal conflict can and should be solved through consensual violence.
The pattern we do see, is that the Scott is saddened by the knowledge that Allison has moved on, but he’s glad that she and Isaac are happy. Similarly, Allison is saddened that Scott is moving on as well, because she does still care for him deeply. Despite their conflicted feelings, neither tries to disrupt the other’s new relationship.
On other shows, that would be a season-long, drama-filled plotline. Here, nothing.
And I legitimately love that so much.

Merry Christmas, @inatshej!
All I Want
-x-
Stiles Stilinski is seventeen years old when he falls in love for the last time. He’s seventeen and his entire world has crumbled and been remade so many times already and though there’s a part of him that’s still very much an immature seventeen year old, he feels wise beyond his years.
He falls in love on a normal, mundane day, as people do. It is not so much a sudden thing but rather the realization that the feelings that are bundled up in their relationship are more affection and soft exasperation than fear and annoyance.
The thing about falling in love though, is that it doesn’t speak of what relationships are available, what relationships are open to reinterpretation. It is and does what it wants to, and nothing about the reality of the situation seems to change that.
Stiles falls in love in a moment and a year, all at once and so slowly too.
But falling in love doesn’t mean happily ever after, two and a half kids and a white picket fence.
Stiles had already known that; had already known what it was like to love the idea of someone and the reality of an uneven fit.
So he doesn’t do anything to change the relationship he has with Derek Freaking Hale so much as resign himself to being his friend instead. There were worse fates than that and well, Stiles thinks in the beginning that time will only let him find someone else to love like it already had before Derek.
Somewhere along the line, Derek goes from friend to best friend, and somehow that tightness in his chest and butterflies in his stomach and softness in his head don’t lessen with time. Instead, all it seems to do is spread and grow and not even Stiles dating and dating often seems to help.
By the time he’s finishing his undergraduate degree in criminal psychology, Stiles gives up on finding someone else, someone better, because the more he knows about who Derek Hale really is, the more sure he is that there isn’t someone better--not for him.
He doesn’t expect the Christmas Party to change things, not when all the time and get-togethers and late nights hadn’t changed a damn thing.
But, then again, Stiles should know by then to stop thinking the impossible exists.
-x-
The summer after his high school graduation had been the quietest one they’d had in years. There were no battles for their life or sanity, no long days and nights searching for Boyd and Erica. It was the most normal couple months they’d had since the night Scott was bitten.
Stiles had been eighteen by then, already deeply in love with Derek Hale and overcompensating to hide it. His brief dalliance with Lydia was already over, his beautiful banshee having kissed him on the forehead and said she was proud of him when she realized how their lives had diverged just enough.
Stiles had also, by then, recklessly purchased a couple one-way tickets from London and Paris for Jackson and Isaac, bringing the rest of his pack home for one last hurrah.
Even then, it surprised him to feel how much more he felt with the joy and happiness he’d brought to Derek’s face than Lydia’s.
From that summer on, it was a thing. An inescapable--and rightly so--decision to get together on holidays from school and personal life to gather together, the whole lot of them, and just be without the constraints of fight-for-your-life and capital-R Responsibility.
Stiles never could bring it in himself to regret that.
-x-
The Christmas Party was actually an entire week devoted to the pack and its members, spread out as they were. Derek was the one who hosted it, spread them across the Hale Family Land that had existed past the county reclaiming the property in the woods. It was on the opposite end of town, something like 3200 acres of sprawling land that had been halfway converted into buildings and warehouses that the Hale Trust had leased out to various people over the years.
They spent most of the time on the far side, nothing but countryside and fields as far as they could see. Stiles hadn’t slept in his childhood home in years, instead bunking down in one of the rooms in the main house, a sprawling two-level ranch that Derek had actually had built when Stiles was in his freshman year of college. His room was actually the only one next to Derek’s a decision that Stiles hadn’t made consciously.
Stiles had gotten back into Beacon Hills later than usual that first night, sneaking into the house after the evening’s festivities were done. He was tired and grouchy, and somehow that had translated him into being annoyed with Derek over the older man’s presence in their shared hallway instead of happy to see him.
Stiles hardly remembered their argument the next morning, but the werewolf’s quiet glare into his mug spoke to him having said something that Stiles was sure he would regret if he could remember it.
Breakfast was stilted that morning, even the rest of the pack noticing as they filed in for overful plates and buckets of coffee. Lydia had given Stiles a knowing look that Stiles wished he could remember enough to return, and Isaac had rolled his eyes.
It wasn’t until his dad and his dad’s partner had stopped in before his dad had to get to work that anything changed--his dad wasn’t about to let the thick, awkward tension sit anymore than Stiles wanted it to.
“You’re unusually quiet this morning, kid,” his dad said, flicking his eyes over to Derek’s adorable and irritating grumpy cat face before returning to Stiles, “You kick Derek out of bed last night?”
The entire room--all sixteen of them that were still inside it--went incredibly silent, nothing but the soft sound of the kitchen radio swooning “it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.”
“Oh my god, Derek’s never been in my bed!” Stiles blurted, and then felt a warm brush of embarrassment crawling up his cheeks when he remembered that Derek had in fact been in his bed before--just not, not like his dad had implied.
Derek’s mug had cracked with an audible snap beneath his halfway extended claws and Stiles felt something like mortification and vomit at the back of his throat.
Before anyone had had a chance to say or do anything about the spilled tea and broken ceramic, Derek had bolted out of the room.
Stiles didn’t really think about how it would look to their friends and family, just knocked over his stool in his haste to chase after Derek and apologize for something he couldn’t quite remember and the more recent things he did.
He caught up to Derek just inside their hallway, one hand on Derek’s arm stopping him just underneath the faux mistletoe that Stiles had been resolutely ignoring.
“I’m sorry about my dad,” Stiles said first, releasing Derek when the man stopped and stared at him with his stoic stoneface look.
“I get it, Stiles,” Derek said in response, showing emotion only in the flickering of his eyes over the syllables of Stiles’ name, “you don’t want to date me. You made that abundantly clear.”
“Wait,” Stiles blurted out, reaching to grab Derek’s arm again but missing when he flinched back, “what?”
Because Stiles could not envision a time when he would have said he didn’t want to date Derek, and he certainly couldn’t seem to process the fact that Derek seemed upset by this.
“You didn’t need to sound so disgusted about me being in your bed, I got the picture last night.”
“No, what, dude, I wasn’t disgusted. I definitely wasn’t--I don’t... what the hell did I say  to you last night? ”
Somehow in the middle of Stiles’ blubbering ramble, something like shock and hope showed in Derek’s face and Stiles really didn’t know how to decipher that.
“You told me that all you wanted for Christmas was for me to stop acting like your boyfriend,” Derek answered, and there was a hint of a snarl around his words.
Stiles blinked. And then blinked again.
Derek turned to leave, obviously irritated and embarrassed again and Stiles didn’t really even think about it before he did it.
He grabbed Derek by the back of his shirt and tugged hard, the surprised werewolf flailing backward into Stiles and barely stopping the both of them from hitting the ground with a double-body smack.
“What the fuck, Stiles?” Derek said as he turned around and planted his feet firmly back on the ground, and there was an actual snarl in his voice at that.
But then Stiles put his hands on Derek again, both fists in the front of Derek’s shirt this time, and pulled him as close as he could, his mouth smashing somewhat painfully into Derek’s.
It didn’t take long for Derek to get the picture then, and they stayed like that far longer than they should have, if the werewolf-whistles were any indication.
“It’s just hard to handle you acting like my boyfriend when you’re not, you asshole,” Stiles admitted.
“Goddamn, it took you idiots too long to get the fucking picture,” Cora interrupted the moment, but somehow Stiles didn’t have it in him to care.
The kitchen radio kept crooning, “all I want for Christmas is you.”

Aiden Imagine: Your Anchor
Pairing: Aiden Steiner x Reader
Outfit Idea (Not for the first part of the this imagine)
Running was something you had always done to clear your head. As you got older not only did you run to clear your head but also because you liked it. Now as a teenager you run on the cross country team, and you had to admit you loved the thrill that running brought you. You smile as you finish the cross country trail. You take a deep breathe and just stand using your wolf hearing to listen to your heartbeat.
Someone comes behind you and covers your eyes. You instantly grab one of their hands and flip them over.
“Geese babe I’m glad to see you too.” You look down and see Aiden on the floor and you smile.
“You shouldn’t sneak up on a girl like that then.” You say as you help him up.
He smiles and takes your hand as you both begin to walk back to school through the other side. “I wish that we could always be like this. Out in the open holding hands in each other’s hands.”
You look at him and smile. “Me too, but I don’t want my dad to come after you.” you say as you look down. Your father had expressed his thoughts quite often about you not going anywhere near Aiden. Your father is also the one and only Peter Hale the one and only big bad alpha.
He’s a very unique father who is usually laid back and very chill. He doesn’t object to most things that you do. The only things you have found now as a teenager that ruffles his feathers are a) what you decide to wear at times. Your shorts, dresses, and skirts must be little over the knee. If they are shorter you can not walk out of the house. Your shirts must not show any cleavage at all. If you don’t follow those two rules you will change and he will choose what you will wear for the day. Lastly is anything dealing with boys. He let’s you hang out with Scott, Stiles, Danny (after he found he was gay), Isaac, Liam, Mason and Corey (after he found they were gay as well). Besides Derek who is obviously your cousin.  Anyone else and he will try and find a way to kill them. When he found out that Aiden was interested in you he did everything in his power to make sure that he wasn’t anywhere near you. At first you understood why he was hesitant. They were new in town as well as wolves and no one knew anything about them. Yes they’ve done a lot of damage on people considering they also killed their entire pack. Now though they are trying to help to fight for Scott and they still don’t trust them. Now you understand they can just be trying to catch Scott when he’s weak and try to hurt him, but why wait this long?
He suddenly comes to a stop and looks into your eyes. “I understand why Peter doesn’t want us together. I am bad news, but I’ve never felt like this about anyone before. I have met and dated various girls I own up to it. Although from all those girls who I’ve dated. You’re the one that is always on my mind. You’re the one that seems to be the one person that’s always on my mind. From the moment I laid eyes on you I knew that you we were meant to be.” He says with a smile.
“Aiden, you know that I don’t have anything to compare this too. You know that my father as prevented me from dating anyone in the past. I’m glad that he didn’t scare you away as easily.” You reply with a smile. The school comes into view, and you both stop before you both walk down to reality. You turn back to him and smile. “Look I know that it seems like I don’t want to tell my dad, but I know he isn’t going to understand. No matter how many times I’d tell him that I love you, and that we are serious about this. He is just going to find a way for us not to be together.” You reply as you look down at your hands.
“I know.” He says as he grabs your face one more time and kisses you. “I don’t care that I get to spend the whole day away from you. Because moments like this make me cherish the few moments we do get to spend together, and makes it worth the wait.” He kisses your forehead before he let’s you go.
You go before he does and as you make way to the school down towards the lacrosse field you see that you were both the first ones done. He comes down and you both sit on the bleachers. Coach was stunned to see the both of you back so soon. But was impressed by your time. A little while later the rest of the team came by and we were dismissed. You had this as your last class and you were quite excited to be done with your day. You walked into the girl’s locker room and you were excited to know you could now go home. You got ready and walked out. You were walking out of the school when Aiden came up beside you in his motor bike and smiled at you.
“Hop on I want to take you somewhere.” he says with a smile as he hands you the helmet.
You look around and see that no one is around. You grab the helmet from his hands and nod. “Alright sounds good to me.” you reply as you put it on and climb on top of the bike.
“Hold on tight.” he replies with a smile as he pulls away from the school. You had thought no one had noticed you climb atop the motor bike. Although somewhere beneath the enormous crowd of students two eyes were watching you very closely.
You rode off into the landscape with Aiden as you were very curious as to where you were headed. He came to stop at a park and climbed off. You look at him slightly confused and he smiles. He takes his helmet off and places it on the bike. He then turns towards you takes your hand and helps you climb off. You also place your helmet on bike and he walks towards the entrance of the park.
“I know this isn’t what you had in mind, but why not?” he says as he begins to walk on the path. “We walk around and talk we haven’t done that in a while.”
You smile and nod. “I know that this may not be what many girls think when they think of a date, but honestly I know we are dating, but I feel as I don’t know you as much as I could.” You respond as he takes your hand as you and Aiden begin to walk along the path of the park. You both stop for a minute and take in the breathtaking scenery before your eyes. The vibrant orange yellow color scheme, with hints of red bushes between the bushes, not only on the leafs still on the trees, but also on the floor. Crackling when you step on them. The grass still slightly green in areas where the fallen leaves don’t cover it. The crisp breeze cold when it lightly touching your warm face as they redden your cheeks slightly. “Something you should know about me is that I enjoy autumn more than summer.” You respond after you both begin to stroll down the concrete path.
“Really? Why is that?” he asks
“Well it’s not too hot, and not too cold. Also it is chilly enough for me to cuddle with someone if I forget my sweater/hoodie/jacket.” You respond with a smirk
You both kept walking on the path of the park and you were quite surprised as to how much you both didn’t know about each other. Although considering your psycho dad it was reasonable as to why you didn’t know much about him. You kept walking until the sun set on the horizon and the moon began to shine through the cloudy night sky. You don’t remember talking immensely to someone as you had tonight. You smile as you climb back on the motor bike and wrap your arms around him. You smile against his shoulder as you smell in his scent and still couldn’t wrap your mind around the fact that he was yours. He pulls away from the curb all while thinking to yourself about how much you knew each other now. You smile as you lean your head against his back at tonight's events. Yes he had moments in time when he could’ve made better decisions in those situations. Although everything had occurred had led him to this very moment, and made him the person he is today. He may not be what others wanted him to be considering his past. However you were happy with this version of him. You would understand if he did change from who he was but nonetheless you weren’t going to make him change into something he isn’t.
He stopped a block from your house, but you notice the lights off at your house and tell aiden to drive you there instead. He does and parks in your driveway, and you climb off and give him the helmet and smile as he takes your hand before you go. He takes off his helmet and pulls you closer to him. He places a kiss on your soft lips. All the while you know that something feels off, and feel as if someone is watching your every move. You choose to ignore it and focus yourself on the feelings and the kiss. This kiss is nothing comparable to what you had felt before. You felt as if you were both meant to be. At first you were unsure if the feelings you had for him were true since you had never had experienced this before. The only reliable source of what you were feeling were the books that you have read that have described these feelings that you had for him.
“Well isn’t this a pretty picture,” you turn to see your father come into view from the darkened corner of your porch. “It’s nice to see my daughter with the one person that I didn’t want to see her with.”
You stood there frozen into place not knowing what to say or what do in that moment. “Sir, I understand why you don’t want me with her, but-”
“No you don’t seem to understand why. You’ve clearly have no insight as to why I don’t want my daughter with you.” He says as he steps closer to Aiden. “I was once like you. I didn’t care for anyone, but what happened to myself.” He took a step closer.
“You may think you know me Peter but you don’t.” He responds “You know the Aiden you meet before I met (Y/N), your daughter. She has slowly made me realize that who I was is not the person I should be.” Aiden replies as he looks at me. “She has taught me what love feels like.”
“You’re a kid you don’t know even understand the concept of love.” your dad takes a step closer to him.
“You may think I don’t, but I have been in flings or relationships with other girls before your daughter. I know that I thought I knew what love is considering my past. However how I feel about your daughter is totally different from what I thought I thought I felt before. She’s become my-” before Aiden can finish Peter punches him in the face and Aiden falls back. Aiden then recovers and punches my dad back. You get in between the two before something else happens.
“STOP!” You respond looking between the two. “I understand dad that you don’t want me to get hurt in the same you hurt mom, and those close to you. Although the way I feel about Aiden Is not something of those such as a fling or a boyfriend that come in and out of your life. What I feel about Aiden is something real. He was help me contain my werewolf abilities at bay and secret from everyone else.”
“Wait a minute how long have you two been seeing each other?” he ask
“We’ve been seeing each other for a handful of months.” Aiden answers
Shock is written all over your father’s face as he looked at the both of you. “Dad I knew that if I would’ve told you or even asked you would’ve done whatever it took to make him disappear from my life. I didn’t feel as if I could tell you for that specific reason.”
He nods his head ultimately understanding why you didn’t tell. Considering that you weren’t wrong about that. He then saw how much you cared for him. Enough for you to secretly date him for a while, but also he realized something that you both didn’t. “He’s your anchor, and you are his.” Aiden and you look at each other before looking back at your dad. He begins walk back towards the house, but before he does. “Just because you are her anchor and  because she has feelings for you doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m not going to hurt you.” he claims as he turns back just as he reached the porch. “You slip up once and you're a dead werewolf and I can guarantee that they won’t find your body. I still don’t like you, and I don’t think I ever will.” he says as he goes inside the house. You turn to look at Aiden with a smile on your face, and Aiden nods his head agreeing with what you were thinking. He pulls you in for a kiss and spins you around in his arms. “(Y/N) inside!” your father yells and you oblige. At least you didn’t have to hide any longer.

You’re Stuck With Me

Coming back to Beacon Hills was one of the hardest things Isaac had ever done. The painful memories that haunted his time there came flooding back the moment he stepped out of the plane. The only reason he didn’t immediately buy a ticket back to Paris was the fact that his old pack needed help. Scott had called him frantically asking about a “Stiles” and if he remembered him. Upon asking what his friend was talking about, he had gone on to explain what had been happening, the disappearances and how no one remembered who had been taken. It was like people had just been plucked straight out of existence, never to be heard of or remembered again.
When Isaac had been helping the new pack, he had met Theo’s sister, y/n. They had been aiding Malia and Scott in fighting off the riders down in the tunnels after Parrish and Douglas disappeared through the rift. A whip was wrapped around Scott’s neck but he managed to break free. Y/n wasn’t so lucky. The roughness of the rope dug into the soft flesh of her wrist as the rider tightened it’s whip. Isaac tried desperately to help her but with a swift and firm tug, she was taken, leaving a cloud of smoke in her place. His hand was empty where it was once gripping her own for dear life. He could still feel her cold fingertips against his own as he watched the smoke fall to the floor before him. She was gone.
After fighting Douglas and diverting the train everyone had been returned to where they had been taken. Scott had bolted to find the remainder of the pack including y/n. Naturally, Isaac had followed as they raced through the tunnels and back to the spot where she was taken. Her eyes were wide as her arms hugged her body, the wolves could smell the anxiety radiating from her small frame as she shook violently. The taller boy shrugged off his woolly cardigan and placed it around her shoulders in some sort of attempt at comforting her. He had barely known her for two weeks and she was already igniting something inside him that he was afraid of.
Theo ran past Scott and Isaac to his sister and enveloped her in a bear hug when he had seen her. He had become so much more grateful for her after he had come back from the dead and so finding out about her being taken had almost destroyed him. The only thing that had been left of her was the antler ring he gave to her as a gift for her 16th birthday. Pulling back, he rifled around in his pocket before pulling out the small silver piece of jewellery and gently taking her trembling hand. Placing the ring in her palm caused her to snap out of her daze and stare at her relic. She glanced up at her brother and threw her arms around him, clinging to his body as if she were about to be harshly pulled from reality again. Isaac stood by Scott awkwardly as the two reunited.
Over the next few weeks, Isaac had decided to get to know the new members of Scott’s pack, especially taking an interest in y/n. She had thanked him for trying to save her and giving her his cardigan when she was in shock by taking him out for coffee one morning before school. He had trudged past her house looking particularly exhausted earlier on and decided to meet Theo during their break instead of going with him to the high school, choosing to join the curly-haired boy as he walked there. She insisted that she took him for some form of fuel before the day started and bought him a large cup of whatever he chose as well as a large black coffee for herself.
As they sat sipping their hot beverages, they started to talk about anything and everything, quickly discovering their common interests such as reading all kinds of books and watching classic movies. As they got deeper into their conversation on bad film adaptations, she got a text from Lydia about how she was late to class. With a sudden urgency, y/n jumped from her seat, quickly grabbing her bag and darting off towards the school, throwing her empty cup in the trash on her way. Isaac briskly followed with ease, falling into step beside the compact younger girl.
Another couple of weeks had passed and the two were practically inseparable. They had quickly discovered their similar sense of humour and since then had been getting on like a house on fire. On most days of the week, they were at one or the other’s house, watching their favourite movies or just enjoying each other’s company as they studied or read books. However, Isaac had quickly realised that he was feeling something more for her. Every time that she talked to him or was near, his heart would flutter and his stomach would do flips. His brain always seemed hazier when he was with her as if he couldn’t think properly and he noticed that it was all of the same signs that he had with Allison. He was falling for her.
The realisation had immediately set off alarms in his head and he became terrified. He couldn’t do that again. He couldn’t fall for someone because he knew that they would be snatched away from him. It was inevitable. So he stopped texting her as much, stopped hanging out with her as often and barely talked in class or in the halls. As much as it pained him to do so, he couldn’t lose someone like that again, it almost broke him the first time.
She was confused as to why he seemed to be getting more and more distant. His texts and visits became less and less frequent and so did their talks. If she really thought about it, it was as if he was avoiding her. Like the plague. It was getting ridiculous. One afternoon, shortly after the last bell rang for the day, she had decided to drop her bag off at home before heading to Isaac’s to confront him. She prepared for the worst, maybe he hated her, maybe he had grown tired of her, maybe he- she needed to stop overthinking it. The walk seemed to take forever as her mind overflowed with questions and anxiety, but soon she was at his door, suddenly unsure of what to say.
Three knocks. No answer. Five knocks, harder this time. Still no answer. Was he even back from school yet? Maybe he was out with Scott? She moved to knock again but the door opened as her hand almost collided with the wood.
“Y/n?” His voice was hoarse as if he was sick or had been crying. Her eyes flickered around his porch, looking everywhere but at him.
“Can I come in?” She questioned, her own voice barely above a whisper. With a nod, he stepped aside, closing the door carefully behind her. He pulled at the sleeves of his baggy grey jumper as the girl paced around in front of him, his hands worrying the loose threads at the ends.
“What’s going on with you? I just- I need to know what I’ve done or if you just got sick of me because I feel like I’ve been cut out of your life entirely and it’s scaring me.” She finally explained. Her heart was hammering in her chest as the seconds between her questions and his answer felt like hours.
“Y-you haven’t done anything, y/n, and I’m definitely not sick of you I just, it’s difficult to explain.” His voice cracked, betraying his otherwise steady tone. The girl eyed him up, wondering what was going through his mind.
“I don’t have anywhere else to be. Please, Isaac, just try. I promise I’m not going to run off or leave you, especially when you’re like this.” She pleaded, trying to persuade the older boy for both their sakes. His eyes suddenly turned glassy as they filled with salty tears, lip trembling ever so slightly as he willed himself not to cry in front of her but he could feel the lump in his throat preventing the words from escaping his mouth. The sight broke the girl’s heart. She hated seeing him like this, so vulnerable and upset over something she didn’t know about. He turned, running a hand through his curls in frustration.
“I can’t lose you too.” He whispered on the verge of breaking down. Y/n’s face went from one of pain to one of confusion. What was he talking about? “Not like I lost Allison.” Who was Allison? The longer the silence continued the more questions swirled around her brain.
“Who’s Allison?” A whimper left the boy’s throat as his knees buckled, falling to the wooden floor beneath him. Her legs worked before her mind did, bringing her to sit beside him as she wrapped her small arms around his thin but muscled frame, cradling him as he buried his face in the space between her neck and shoulder. A broken sob wracked his body as they rocked gently from side to side.
“I fell in love with her. I fell so hard and she was torn away from me. She died, y/n, and I couldn’t do anything to stop it.” He sniffled, his tears soaking her shirt as he continued to cry. His hands desperately dug into her sides as if she could disappear any second. “I loved her like I love you and it terrifies me.” He finished. The realisation hit the girl like a train as her chest tightened, constricting her heart like a noose. He started muttering something along the lines of ‘don’t leave me’ as they kept moving back and forth slowly. Her breathing had become strangled as she tried to calm herself down. He thought he was going to lose her too.
“Hey, Isaac, listen to me.” She started, grabbing his face between her hands. “Look at me. I’m here. I am not leaving you, alright? Ever. You’re stuck with me, okay? I promise you, Isaac.” The werewolf reassured as his beautiful yet puffy blue eyes flickered back and forth between her own as if searching for any sign that she was lying. He sniffled, a few more tears falling down his face. Bringing her sleeve up to his eyes, she dabbed away the wetness, trying not to press to hard against his soft skin. His breathing had evened out as he watched your face. Y/n’s thumbs brushed against his lips before she pulled her hands away. Her brows were furrowed in concern as she rested them on his knee. “I’m not going anywhere.” The girl finalised, staring into his eyes. He gave a small, sad smile.
The younger girl’s eyes moved to his lips before gazing back into his eyes. His calloused hands were lightning fast as he pulled her in for a long, needy kiss. She felt his fingers toying with the hair at the back of her neck as her own tangled in his curls. They stayed like that for a few moments, lips dancing together as they poured all of their feelings into the gesture. Pulling away, the couple gasped for air.
“I love you too, but I won’t push this if you don’t want me to.” She affirmed. She thought that it came out controlled but it had, in fact, came out rather breathlessly. A smirk appeared on his face just before he placed another kiss on her plump lips. This time more gentle and loving. That was all the confirmation she needed to know he would give love another try.

PART TWO. 2) could be said that Scott hanging up during the pool scene was an asshole move except he and Allison could've been caught by Gerard so no again!!! Oh and 3) talking about Stiles killing that guy, but Scott was manipulated and then murdered so you know, ALSO DOESNT COUNT. Like Stiles and Allison were good friends too stop writing Scott McCall as a horrible friend when there are no clear examples of the behavior!!! sorry for the rant it just bothers me
honestly i agree with everything you said 1000% and i have so many things i have to say about the mistreatment of scott by both the fandom and the show and they’re not v stiles friendly tbh but here goes
i can count on one hand the instances in which scott has been ‘a bad friend’ and those are all justifiable and not without good reason as you said, while stiles has been on many occasions a huge bag of dicks to scott for no reason other than the fact that he is a dick.
a few examples of this include
literally chaining him and treating him like a dog during the full moon, it was by no means for scott’s own safety but rather a way of stiles getting back at scott for kissing lydia even though HE WAS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF THE FULL MOON FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE
blaming scott for his father getting hurt for some reason?? i still dont understand this?? how is scott to blame for your dad getting hurt?? he’s literally the sheriff of the town.... ????
hiring people to beat up scott ‘for his own good’ and then shooting tennis balls at him do i even need to explain this
continuously belittling his intelligence, popularity, dreams/aspirations which is often written off as banter bw friends as though it isnt deeply damaging to have your best friend ridicule you at all times
basically saying scott would be usless without him as though scott is some helpless puppy who couldnt figure his way out of a paper bag when in reality (i.e every single season) its been scott and lydia figuring shit out and saving all their asses
will hide things from scott (e.g about rafael/donovan) then get mad when scott doesnt tell him every single thing going on in his life
he’s extremely possessive of scott/the pack and is hostile to literally anyone who tries to befriend them and the fandom paints it as stiles ‘always being right’ like yes hello derek/erica/kira/isaac would beg to differ
LITERALLY ALL OF S5
stiles mentioned NOTHING whatsoever about donovan or w.e his name was, he didnt deny killing him, didnt confide in his friend or anyone and then he’s shocked his best friend who has been manipulated and forced to inhale wolfsbane for weeks isnt jumping to support him?? yes i understand it was difficult for him to confide in people but then again what did he expect scott who is adamantly against killing to say? and the fact that scott understood and sympathised w him like 4 episodes later speaks volumes about how dumb the whole thing was, does he really think so little of scott that he doesnt believe he’d side with him when he knows it’s self defence?
STILES SOMEHOW MANAGES TO BLAME SCOTT AGAIN FOR HIS FATHER GETTING HURT?? HOW TF???? THEO LITERALLY TOLD STILES THAT HE WOULD BE KILLING SCOTT ... AND THEN HES MAD HIS DAD GOT HURT.... EVEN THOUGH HE 100% KNEW THAT SCOTT HAD NO WAY OF STOPPING IT
‘some of us are human’  once again dehumanising scott as though scott hasnt fought tooth and nail to retain his humanity
PHYSICALLY ASSAULTING scott who is clearly hurt and taking advantage of the fact that he knows scott wouldnt hurt him even though hes capable of tearing him in 2
scott died!!!!! and stiles gave 0 shits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! scott was willing to die time and time again for stiles!!
‘oh youll heal’ ah yes that is the sound of stiles being an amazing compassionate friend (can u imagine the scenes if scott had said this to stiles?)
anyway believe it or not these are few out of many many examples of how stiles has been a complete asshole to scott. yes, he has been supportive before and yes we all love the 3x06 brothers scene, but just because someone was once a good friend doesnt mean they have a pass to continuously abuse their ‘best friend’ from that point onwards. im not saying stiles is a bad person, im saying people need to start calling him out on his shit and stop ignoring his toxic behaviour just because it’s coming from their fave.
the difference bw scott and stiles is scott being a ‘bad friend’ entails minor mistakes that cause no long-term harm whereas stiles actually being a bad friend involves physical and verbal abuse as well as dehumanisation but the fandom will turn a blind eye to any shit their white fave pulls in favour of vilifying the main moc. and sadly the show props this narrative by having scott apologise every single time stiles wrongs him but never the other way around. i am so so tired of the fandom excusing every shitty thing a white boy has done in favour of painting the moc as the devil.
