Sam has an oddity collection.

During the amount of moving from place to place ever since, he has been collecting odd things during his travels. Until the family finally settles in pine creek, he never bothered collecting at the time.

But every time Duncan or any of his ‘friends’ visit, they always ask what he likes to collect. Sam never told them a thing until he’s comfortable.

When he finally told Duncan what he collects he thought Duncan was going to turn away, thinking he’s weird for collecting ‘weird things’

He was actually surprised Duncan finds most of the things cool when he saw Sam’s collection. And Sam felt relieved and a little proud of his odd collection.

The collection has as such: a broken slingshot, two tone colour rock, lapis lazuli, a silver ring with engraved faded wording, a gofer skull, a huge tune fork and a wooden bowl with intriguing designs made of maple.

I just wanted to add another something to Sam’s character.

And what better way than giving Sam a collection of oddities? Also felt like he moves so much in his life that when he turned 11 it was odd for him that his family to settle in pine creek. And not moving any time soon.
