Jack checks ID anon here - def not saying Jack/Zack get off on power like they exploit women and make them do degrading things or anything like that. Like you said in your tags, they want "easy" and fans are easy. But that's b/c of the power dynamic that exists. Yes, it's consensual, it's just creepy to me. And there's nothing wrong with checking ID, it's just funny to me. And a little sad that people were coming out of the woodwork (I read that at least 5x) to use this tidbit to defend Jack. I believe it's often Steve who checks IDs. Like y'all need a SYSTEM? Yuck. (They also check IDs to let ppl on the bus so that may be some info getting a bit convoluted in story telling, too. Not sure).

Sorry if I came off extra, I just feel like the cascade of shock about behavior that is not on par with the allegation took over in a way that I'm still on the defense about. I joke about this a lot with friends but honestly all of my defenses of Jack are Yes he fucking sucks!! But not in the obvious way you think! And this is that perfect example of that lol. There probably is a worthwhile convo to be had about power dynamics, including age, and this behavior, but I also think it's asking a lot from these dudes, especially when sm makes it soooo easy. One day I'll pick my bar up off the floor.
