I've had something a bit tender in my heart since I read that Jenson Button's dad used to come to every race of his and his sudden passing away in 2014 is what ultimately triggered Jenson to leave F1. He said he couldn't muster the same joy or hunger for racing after that and I haven't stopped thinking about it since.

#life is so often shaped and moulded by grief and they don't tell you that #death is a transformational force #jenson said that he got his world title and achieved what he needed to do #i remember he was talking about how his dad was always in his corner and defended him when he was a child in karting #I think he was speaking to either nico or daniel #also Jenson did dedicate a lap to Sic after his death at the race in India in 2012 #anyway Jenson I will always keep you in my heart #jenson button #f1 #formula 1
