Blue Exorcist got its anime adaption too early and that’s a damn shame. iirc they started making the anime while the manga was less than like 5 volumes in so they wound up overtaking the manga almost immediately. Like the last like 6 arcs of the manga have been incredible and it sucks that that’s not gonna be introduced to a wider public.

I wish that Blue Exorcist could get the same treatment that other shonen manga get but I also think that it serves as a reminder for anime creators to just stop a season when they run out of material.

#Ao No Exorcist #Blue Exorcist #the entire cast of this series has been EATING for the last several arcs #but especially Yukio and Rin thanks to that freshly finished Journey To The Past arc #I hope they remember to return to this series at some point #because the art and the story are so frickin good #I’d say FMA meets My Hero when it comes to worldbuilding and time devoted to building multiple characters #like Kazue Kato has whole ass character sheets for all the types of monsters coming out of the woodwork #I hope her efforts are recognized #edit: I take back what I said about My Hero cuz the character building and arcs have severely slowed down in recent years #it’s just the Bakugo Todoroki Midoriya show now #getting no follow up for all of these other characters that exist and could potentially have rich stories #but we aren’t gonna get to them at all
