Aizawa was exhausted. After a long day of work, al he wanted was sleep. It didn’t help that it was extremely late at night (or early in the morning, depending on your preference). At least it was the end of the week.
When he finally arrived to his apartment, he was surprised by you, his neighbor. He had ran into you a lot. After all, being neighbors and going to work in similar areas meant you two would bounce into each other once and a while.
This time was different though.

You were decked in colorful colors. You had highlights in your hair that he knew you didn’t have before. He wasn’t sure if it was some sort of wig or clip-on situation—his knowledge of girls wasn’t great even at the best of times. You had on colorful makeup that seemed to light up your face. It was a bit smeared now, most likely by the sweat still slightly evident on your face, but it still looked impressive. Different home-made bracelets covered your wrists in a way that was almost impressive. You wore a top that left little to the imagination and baggier pants with killer platform boots that were iridescent. You were taller than him normally, but now you towered over him. He had to blink a few times to make sure he wasn’t seeing things.
“You’re up late.” You said, a teasing tone in your voice. Aizawa grunted a response.
“Can I ask about the get-up?” He asked, trying to change the subject. Your face lit up.
“This? It’s my rave get-up! Well, one of them.” You said. Aizawa quirked an eyebrow.
“A rave?” He asked. You nodded eagerly.
“Yep!” You said. Aizawa leaned against his door. “It’s my normal weekend activity. You’ve just never been lucky enough to catch me coming home so late.”
“Is it fun?” He asked. He wasn’t sure why, but suddenly he was suddenly curious.
“Of course it is!!! I wouldn’t be at raves all the time if it wasn’t.” You said.
“Can I ask what’s up with the bracelets?” He asked. You held out your arms, proudly showing off your kandi.
“These are kandis. I’ve either made them or gotten them from someone at a rave.” You said, your smile as bright as the sun. “They show a lifestyle of peace, love, unity, and respect.”
As Aizawa observed your kandi, you came up with an idea. You took one of the kandis you had made and handed it to him.
“Here. It’s the least I can do for you.” You said. Aizawa frowned.
“You don’t need to do anything for me.” He said. You shook your head.
“Nonsense! You’re a hero. Even if you weren’t, you’re my neighbor. Think of it as an act of neighborly kindness.” You said. Your smile was infectious to Aizawa. He smiled back at you and took it. You realized this was probably the first time you had seen him smile.
“Thank you.” He said. “I would like to know more, but it’s getting late.” He slipped the kandi onto his wrist. You nodded.
“I’d be happy to tell you. Goodnight, Aizawa.” You said.
“Goodnight, (Y/N).”
The next school day, Aizawa started class like normal. When he opened the floor for any questions, Mina raised her hand up high.
“Yes?” Aizawa asked with a sigh.
“Are you wearing kandi?” Mina asked. Aizawa was confused until he remembered the bracelet you had given to him over the weekend. He felt a little flustered.
“Yes... Any school questions?”
