The Biden administration has put new regulation in effect, which require museums and federal agencies to “consult, collaborate, and, in the case of scientific study or research, obtain consent” from descendants of Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian Organizations. I only found out about this from news articles talking about exhibits closing, but it went into effect on January 12!

All these little policy changes add up and add up. Radical change is hard, but small steps can end up taking you far.
