silly episode idea but hear me out

okay well the first part isn’t silly! so the episode is based around a con they are doing where a polyam triad wants to get married and have been writing to senators and stuff for years but nothing has happened. maybe there is a time element that leeway has to happen soon (not sure what that would be yet, maybe someone is sick???)

(obviously polycules aren’t only and are often more than just a closed three-person system, but I’m saying triad right now bc I feel like that would be an easier and more ‘socially acceptable’ gateway into more accepting legislation for diverse relationship dynamics)

the leverage crew, of course, can’t outright change the public perception of poly marriage, but they can use the ‘enemy’s’ tactics against them and slip stuff into legislation without people noticing like they do. it’s slimy and it’s not a permanent fix, but it’s a start, and it gives people the opportunity to see poly marriage in action and that it isn’t as terrifying or pearl-clutching-inducing as they think it would be. there’s a long way to go, but the seeds of change have been sown and they will make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible

this is one of the cases that they will monitor on the back burner over time. some cons can finish within a few hours (the bottle job), and some things they will follow over time and make adjustments when needed- amplify voices and expose corrupt politicians etc

and then it’s just after 3/4 of the way through but the con has been finished? what is going on? this is where the silliness comes in

Dani’s 1k Celebration: Who the hell is Dani?

Hey guys! I try to make it a point to introduce myself every now and then for the new followers. You hit that follow button, and immediately me complaining about anything and everything fills up your dash. I’m shocked you all stuck around.

What’s she always complaining about?

School! I’m a second-year business student at my local private college. I’m getting in the hard stuff, and I’m trying to graduate in three years so I am loaded with credits. 

Work! I just scored my first internship! I’m an accounts specialist intern at a huge local company. I’m super super excited to start on Monday, but this is the first real job in my field I’ve had. This is a glimpse of my future. That shit is TERRIFYING. I also was a barista and a sales associate before this job.

Celebrities! As you all know, I have a special place in my heart for my baby Shawn, any of the marvel actors and the vlog squad. So anytime they post anything that makes me SWOOOON you’ll see me go the fuck off about it. I’m also meeting Alessia FREAKING Cara in two weeks so peep me pissing myself for the next two weeks.

Family! I love them to death, but being a commuter, I see them a little too much. My parents both work full time for the most part, and so does my brother, so I’m basically part-time mom for my little sister who’s going through high school and all the shit that comes with it. 

Boys! Hi, I’m Dani, and I ghost men the moment it starts getting real! Lol! But I’m also surprisingly good at exposing trash men on tinder. Honestly, it’s my favorite hobby. Love? Haven’t heard of her. Too busy building my future.

Shows! I’ve got a few tags of me watching certain tv shows. In my opinion, the most riveting one is me live posting about Kian and JC’s reality house. I also watch like six shows, and am currently binging The Office.

Why does she write?

Thanks so much for asking, me who wrote all the questions! It’s therapy for me. I fell in love with it in third grade when I discovered I could write down dreams I had and turn them into legitimate stories. My “Mandy” series was ahead of its time. It was through writing my little series in fifth grade that I discovered I could write down things that happened to me and change the ending to something I loved.

Through middle school, I fell in love with poetry, and it kind of became my outlet to get out all the thoughts in my head. 

In high school, I fell for journalism, but still wrote creatively constantly. I had amazing English teachers throughout my years of schooling that nurtured and encouraged my writing. I’d be nowhere without them. 

When it comes to fic writing, that’s new. I loved reading them, but I always thought that I wouldn’t be able to write them. I wrote a few here and there but they were short and I didn’t like them. Then I wrote a short story and discovered it would make a really beautiful fic if I just switched the names. Thus, To Be In Love was born.

I got a really positive response from it, so I decided to roll with it. Honestly, it helped me fall in love with writing all over again. My life is so hectic that I don’t always have time to sit and write. But knowing you guys love them, encourages me to put content out there. So you all get put on the pedestal with my English teachers. Thank you for loving what I do.

When does she post?

I’m on a queue, baby! I believe it’s twenty-two posts a day from 7 am to midnight. Idk, I’ve changed it like twelve times. It’ll probably change again in like two weeks because I have a problem.

When it comes to my writing schedule, there isn’t one right now, but it’s in the works! I typically post Fridays or Sundays or whenever, but it’s always posted at 7:00 pm est because that’s when I settle down for my night, and I can read your comments as they come in.

The DropBack, my current series, is posted every Sunday at 7:00 pm est. Of course, it is almost done. There are only a few parts left. Sad. I know. But I may or may not have plans for another series...............

Can I message her?

Literally, ALWAYS. My asks I tend to see before my messages. I’m trying to be better at responding, but I promise I’ll be back to you in, at the most, a day. I’m on here pretty often right now, but I can’t promise that will stay the same once my internship starts. I do have notifications on for Tumblr, though, so if you message me, I’ll see it in my notifications and try to respond as soon as possible!

What you got going on in the near future that you may be talking about a ton?

Another great question, Dani! I’m seeing and meeting Alessia Cara in two weeks! I start my internship on Monday! I just started my new half-semester classes! I’m getting a puppy in spring (sign my petition to name her Janet)! I’m hopefully getting a new phone soon (mine is getting to be trash)! I think I’m saving up for a car! I’m also a HOE for Christmas, so get ready to get FESTIVE.
