Currently thinking about Nauta’s post and the way that fandoms are increasingly using revolution inspired rhetoric and throwing themselves into inconsequential movements as a means to romanticise fighting for a cause and to feel like they are a part of an actual revolution because that is far easier and more black and white than having to shut up and show up and do research and be uncomfortable and accept their privilege and look at things that scare them and do things that scare them and put actual energy into fighting to help real people
