One partial less, one step closer to freedom! Today's partial went well, not as well as the others did but it's good enough. Since we're on those days™ when we don't do anything in class, I came home earlier so I had more time to relax. Meaning that I have plans to tackle down those 5 drafts that I have pending to deliver once I come back from doing some exercise with my father. DF Fanfic: The Grilled Cheese of Destiny(Chapter 1)

WARNING: STUFFING HUMOR AND FEEDERISM CONTENT AHEAD! VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED!

CHAPTER 1: The Adventure Chef and the Adventurous Eater

As the morning sun rose over the horizon, and the morning breeze sent a chill through the air, a young adventurer prepared herself for the day to come. That adventurer was Suut, who was still trying to decide how to start her day.

"Still need to find some adventuring companions." She pondered to herself. She has adventured through Lore alone for a good few weeks, but she'll be the first to admit that it'd be nice to have someone to talk to on the road. Artix is too busy in Doomwood, Tomix is too busy hunting Lust, and she hasn't met any other adventurers yet.

But while she was thinking, a loud rumble interrupted her thoughts. That rumble was coming from her pudgy belly, and it was then it dawned on her.

Her Hero's Breakfast was getting cold.

After her rush to finish getting dressed, she descended down the steps, ready to fill her hungry gut with Serenity's cooking. However, as she made her way into the dining room, she was greeted instead by an unfamiliar face.

"Hello there! You must be Suut!" The man said with a wide grin.

"...How did you know my name?" Suut asked, still trying to rub the sleep from her eyes.

"Oh, Serenity told me about you!" He replied. "She said you had quite the appetite in the morning!"

"Just in the morning?" Suut added with a hearty laugh.

"Oh but where are my manners?" The stranger extended his hand to Suut. "Name's Jhona! Nice to meet you!"

"Nice to meet you, Jhona!" She paused, before finally addressing the gorrilaphant in the room. "So... where'd Serenity go?"

"Oh, yeah! I forgot to tell you!" Jhona exclaimed. "Serenity had to go to Verteroche Crossing to get some supplies for the Inn, so I figured I'd help her out while she was gone! I hope that's alright!"

Suut paused for a moment. Admittedly, she always looks forward to talking to Serenity in the morning. That said, the fact that Jhona stepped in to help her was rather endearing.

She gave a small shrug. "So long as you know how to cook, I don't see any problem with it!"

Jhona beamed with pride. "Oh don't worry! I wouldn't be able to call myself an Adventure Chef if I didn't know how to cook!"

And as her attention was redirected to the dining table, she noticed the marvelous and drool-inducing sight of a freshly-rotisseried harpy, brightly colored from herbs and plated with a sprinkling of parsley on top. Alongside the harpy was a hefty tankard of moglinberry cider.

It took her mere moments before she dug into the thigh of the harpy. She was amazed at how juicy the meat was, and the herbs complimented the natural heat from the meat perfectly. After a good few minutes of eating, she finally took a moment to speak.

"Wow, you really know what you're doing! This stuff is delicious!" She exclaimed after a hearty swig of moglinberry cider.

Jhona could feel himself smiling from ear to ear. He never had someone enjoy his cooking as much as Suut seemed to! "Oh, don't mention it! After all, my policy is to cook for a friend the same way you'd cook for a king!"

"Then I can only imagine you'd have a lot of friends!" Suut added before a loud belch.

After a good hour of eating, Suut finally finished off the rotisseried harpy. As she sat there, she could feel the pressure of her meal causing her belly to rumble consistently. That said, judging by the slight smile on her face, she didn't seem to mind.

"Whew, I'm stuffed!" She stated, while patting her belly gently.

Jhona was clearly lost in thought. He seemed to be eyeing a map, trying to find out which of the marked locations would be best to explore first. Eventually, he looked up at Suut, and saw the bones from the harpy piled onto the plate in front of her. "Wow, Serenity wasn't kidding! You do have quite the appetite!" he stated in awe.

"Well it's pretty easy when the food's as good as you and Serenity make it!" She added, prior to unleashing a monstrous burp.

After a long period of quiet, interrupted occasionally by the low churning of Suut's stomach, Jhona finally broke the silence. "So how long have you been adventuring for?"

Suut paused for a moment to think. "A few weeks. Honestly, it wasn't that long ago that I moved into Falcon's Nest Inn. Why?"

Jhona tapped his fingers nervously. "Well, I've been thinking about trying to pursue a personal quest, and I've heard that you're a pretty good pirate. So...."

She immediately perked up. "Are you looking to form an adventure party?" She asked excitedly.

"Y-yeah!" Jhona stuttered, clearly surprised by how eager Suut was.

"Well count me in, then!" She boomed. "Mind me asking what this personal quest is of yours?"

He smiled to show a set of white teeth, with one canine missing. "I'm planning to make a legendary grilled cheese."

Suut paused for a moment, blinking. "...say what now?"

ch68 is gonna be A Late One, ghouls and gals; i have been working LITERALLY every day this month (ok. minus one day. but that's IT) on this absolutely wild child bastard chapter, and. drags hands down face and buries in hands. i cannot even beGIN to tell u abt the rewrites. the musical chairs. the scrapped material. the SAVED material. It's So Much.

but what i CAN tell u....... is that this one's A Doozy™️. yep, ur gettin another LOOOONG chapter lads, but i can PROMISE u, it's a Juicy One >:3c cuz i dunno about YOU all, but I'M sure looking forward to The Chapter After That because heehee hoho It's The (whispers) Sex (!!!) Number, and. claps hands together. rubs like dirty little fly. hehehehe. >:3c

so that's my story and my excuse and i'm stickin' to it, lucky enough i THINK (knock on wood) that i should be able to get chSexy Number out on time (read: by the end of the month, since i'm (WAS) shooting for a chapter a month here) and that one WILL be shorter. but Due To The Nature Of Character Development And Lore™️©️, ch68 will be Slightly™️ Delayed. 😔 gomen nasai 😩🙏🙏😭😭🙏🙏
