Wendy: Oh! Danielle! I'm so happy to see you
Danielle: I hope I didn't disturb you...
Wendy: Not at all! I was just working on some cases and I just wanted to take a break. Come inside!
Tumblr media
Wendy: You still have this bad sunburnt from the holidays. So what have you been up to since we last parted?
Danielle:: Hmm nothing much, I'm just going to work, I dropped the boys over to their father and I decided to say hi...
Wendy: How are the boys doing?
Danielle: (hesitantly) Well...
Wendy: What happened?
Tumblr media
Danielle:: Well... Please don't say anything to Brenden... I just learned that Isaac is smoking!
(Dianelle is mother to twin boys: Isaac and Carter)
Wendy: (Shokingly) Smoking what ?!?
Danielle:: For God's sake, only plain cigarettes! Though I found him coming home high once!
Wendy: Gosh! Have you tried talking to him? Do you think it's the divorce?
Tumblr media
Danielle:: I don't know! He's undergoing speech therapy with the school psychologist and I'm waiting for a feedback... I've tried my best to get them enrolled in this private school and he goes around smoking. You can't imagine how disappointed I am right now. Ok! Let's talk about something else... I'll have my first solo recital next year!
Wendy: Woah! Nice. I know you were working on that!
Danielle: Yeah, My agent finally managed to convince the orchestra to organize that... provided I compose two more melodies till December.
Wendy: Is that a lot of work?
Danielle: If I'm deeply inspired, not much!
(Chantel coming back from her walk around the city)
Tumblr media
Wendy: Oh Dianelle, I believe you know Chantel. Willy's daughter?
Danielle: Yeah of course!
Chantel: Hi
Wendy: Chantel asked me if she could stay here until she finds herself an apartment. She's working as a model here and wants to be closer to her job...
Danielle: Great! So how did you find the city, it's different from Brindleton Bay, right?
Chantel: Oh yeah! So much! it's much more busy and people here are quite diverse... I love it.
Danielle: I won't stay long, Wendy, I've got to go to work. I'll call you during the week and please not a word to Brenden.
Wendy: Don't worry, take care!
Tumblr media
Chantel: So Danielle's your friend right?
Wendy: Much more than a friend, she's like my daughter! Hmm, she was married to my nephew but now she's... seeing my brother!
Chantel: What?1? No way! (laughs loudly)
Wendy: (annoyed, trying to change the subject) Do you want something to drink, what would you like for dinner?
Tumblr media
Chantel: (while looking at her phone) No thanks, I'm invited to this huge party... You know, for work...
Wendy: (disappointed) Oh okay...
Tumblr media
Wendy: Are you sure? I can order some sushi...
Chantel: No thanks, I don't eat carbs...
Tumblr media
Chantel: I'll get ready...
Tumblr media
Wendy: Seems like I'll spent my evening working today as well...

Vacation!
Ok so, here in Brazil, we get summer at december- so YAY, summer break!
My mom and i were planning a trip to this other state to see her sisters since summer 2020 and it finally happened. It was nice. I have never seen my so happy, and even I am happy, even tho it's very insane in here with weird druck uncles and unknown cousins.
I have 3 cousins my age, one of them has a 11 year old sis who's always with us since she is the youngest. We all got very close!!!!! The youngest, Isabela (i'm 90% sure she is autistic) is very quiet but we got like really next these days (she told me she likes girls)
Best things about the trip
1- our parents have an unknown cousin called Ana Carvalho who no one from our family has ever spoken to. She came to the holidays and it was funny bc everyone was making jokes about her, at first I didn't liked it but then I started playing too, reason? I'll say later.
2- got to see my favorite cousin after 2 years
3- Watched The Perks of Being a Wallflower with her. She cried
4- I went to a shopping with my cousins and one of my aunts, I bought masculine shorts and a masculine bowie t-shirt (ofc my mom wouldn't let me)😈
5- my cousins let me stim around them and even tho they said it's a bit weird, they didn't got bothered by it and where really nice!
6- Learned how to handstand
7- Ate a lot of burger, had lots of coke
8- Spent the first night and morning of 2023 awake in an abandonment house (second floor) and saw the sun rise listening to cavetown with Isabela while she info dumped about her favorite TV show
9- Isabela asked me to info dump about The Goldfinch, she said she really wants to watch it now!
10- had fun at the beach
Worst things about the trip
1- Ana Carvalho was really rude 😬
2- Homophobic relatives
3- Had bad times at the beach too
4- I freaked out because there was too much people in my aunt's house and I had to get out
5- Loud music
6- Drunk relatives arguing
7- Sunburnt... Shit hurts.
8- My aunt made me perform songs in front of the whole family
9- One of my aunts called her 3 year old autistic kid a retard because he doesn't talk
Tumblr media
10- Lost my watch

Hey I'm the gardening anon you just answered. About the flowers all year found, I meant so that year round, out of all the plants there are some that bloom. Some are January blooming, some are February blooming, some are March blooming etc.. The biggest issue is finding when plants bloom because I find contradicting info. Climate? Exact species? Indoor vs outdoor?
Hey again,
Question back at you: What kind of weather do you have in mind for the months December to February? Does it ever snow, or is it just less warm? There are very few plants which can actually handle the cold and blossom at the same time, but there are plenty of plants which can handle simply less warm weather. Tulips start to available around December but they're not seen outside because it's usually too cold. A lot of bulbs can handle low Celsius weather down to 2°C, primroses can handle weather down to 4°C and (horned) pansies can actually survive even 0°C but all these come with the perquisite of being planted outside if your character wants them to survive. All of these also primarily thrive in rather cold spring weather.
Christmas roses bloom throughout winter and actually thrive off the cold, but need to be planted about 3-4 weeks before the frost comes, else they won't be able to take root properly which is absolutely necessary for them to survive.
Honeysuckle blooms from January to April and is hardy up to about -34°C, laurustinus shrubs are hardy down to about 17°C. You see, looking for plants that bloom during typical winter months leads to a lot of cold resistant plants, which is why it's important to look at the weather. They're used to growing in the cold, they wouldn't do so well in warmer weather.
As for plants that enjoy some warmer climate in those months, there are several example from Hawaii, such as quite a few evergreen species of plumeria, like Plumeria obtusa which blooms from January to February. Or Hibiscus, blooming from February until May. Bougainvillea even blooms all year round, and Poinsettia will bloom in winter.
Here's also a link on caring for plants so they don't over use energy on blooming/seeding. Essentially it just means your character will have to take extra good care of their plants to extend their blooming periods. The right fertiliser and regular pruning are almost more important than deadheading the plants so they are kept from seeding. Producing seeds costs any plant a lot of energy, which is why your character should keep it from spending it. Pruning in general promotes better growth and often more flowering, so of course by implication that means fertiliser is needed to support all that and keep the plant from running out of energy.
Also this is a guide to perennial bedding plants for Hawaii from the College of Agriculture.
As for indoor plants, they are a completely different deal, your character should however still try to stick to warmth and sun-loving plants for the most part. As to why the answer is that sunlight through windows equals a lot of heat and your character is going to want to have plants which are able to deal with that on their window sills. So, Kalanchoe would quite enjoy that, as well as any kind of succulents, to be quite honest and the lovely part about those is that they come in all shapes and sizes and colours. Orchids and bromeliads would require some more shade, so your character should keep them quite a bit away from the windows so they don't get sunburnt.
Poinsettia also make great indoor plants, of course, they love the outside a little more, but they can do exceptionally well if kept adequately warm. So do Bougainvillea.
