I am so grateful that the Dark Crystal is, while niche, an established franchise with years worth of lore and stories.

Could you imagine if the movie never existed and all we had was Age of Resistance? Netflix canceled it and JHC wouldn't be allowed to make more stories with its characters and world because of copyright bullshit? I'd be heartbroken.

#I've been thinking about it as Netflix continues to trend more towards canceling their series that don't make the numbers they want #and how so many other shows are basically disappearing because of corporate right offs #it's always been tough for creators but especially now #to work so hard on something and then have it all disappear just so corporations save money #and because you basically gave the rights away you can't do anything with it past it #it's so shitty how easily disposable media these days #I am more than thankful for people who pirate #always supported it and now even moreso #media preservation is so important
