is your job what you imagined it to be? Is it profitable enough - it seems like one of those dream jobs that is out of reach because it’s not realistic enough

It's hard and wonderful and going much better than expected! Both my best friend and I are super pessimistic, so we didn't really count on a queer bookstore being able to be profitable, but from the first month, the bookstore has paid for itself, and now 6 months in, we can both pull a small but livable salary from it :)

We're extremely fortunate to have been able to do this, and we've been very smart money wise buying a shit ton of stuff second hand, but so far (knock on wood) everything is going pretty well.

There's only one way, and it's up!
