It's hard and wonderful and going much better than expected! Both my best friend and I are super pessimistic, so we didn't really count on a queer bookstore being able to be profitable, but from the first month, the bookstore has paid for itself, and now 6 months in, we can both pull a small but livable salary from it :)
We're extremely fortunate to have been able to do this, and we've been very smart money wise buying a shit ton of stuff second hand, but so far (knock on wood) everything is going pretty well.
There's only one way, and it's up!
#keep in mind that both of us don't need a lot of money#and that I have a gigantic network in the danish book world#also our concept is the only lgbt+ space in our region#we've done website renovations social medias everything ourself#I've managed to grow our social media to 1000+ on Facebook#4200 on Instagram#and over 8000 on Tiktok#Also the local community has been extremely supportive
