i’m also not at all surprised dain had the eye on him (or inside him??) this whole time like i was genuinely surprised he didn’t just whip it out right there and he led us to some remote domain that was like a mix of enkanomiya, the chasm ruins, and our playable domains lol is this ur take on an adeptal abode why is ur house so gloomy no wait actually that tracks and i shouldn’t judge

im sorry but i need to recruit more ppl into my crack theory that itto woke up the electro yaksha thanks— anyway, on a less funny note, considering that xiao and the yakshas were made to vanquish demons and itto is, well, a demon...i have some hopes for where this is going. the odd thing i felt in the whole trailer was the npc with green hair. bc it shared the exact same shade as kuki shinobu BUT kuki's known family members (the shrine maiden i forgot her name im sorry KDHJDGD) have normal colored hair so tf was that.

i'm also extremely excited bc this is the first time we'll see yanfei in an archon quest, and among other adepti! we know she's the only adeptus who wasn't alive during wartimes (which in theory, makes her the youngest out of all of them) and she has a lot of insights on how rex lapis handled the contracts of the adepti, so it's nice to see her become a contrast bc yanfei's character itself is a testament to the change that came of liyue.

going back to the chasm underground, we never really found out WHY celestia dunked a nail on them—and following a pattern, we can assume that whatever was in the chasm needed to be controlled, neutralized, or at worst, killed. and yet the only thing we know that lies in the chasm is the electro yaksha. maybe the appearance of the abyssal twin and the further interference of the abyss order will explain that, and maybe it'll also explain some things regarding the inverted city, the seelie courts that were undamaged, khedive's theory that the chasm was once underwater, and the goddamn ruin serpent.

in text, it's noted as an interlude chapter (making this liyue's second interlude, after the jade chamber's return) so i doubt we'll actually focus on the abyssal twin. and considerinh their expressions, im guessing theyre probably another flashback or just ae and lumi being creepy telepathic twins again.

FINALLY, the domain itself really does look off? if you compare it with every other liyue domain it just doesnt seem like it. honestly, the whole place feels like it shouldnt be in liyue at all. so many questions KJDHJDGD

anyone else getting mugen train vibes from the chasm domain in the new 2.7 trailer? it seems like whichever monster or spirit lured the group into it somehow trapped them in a dream-like state, and the traveler’s sibling was their “weakness.” and maybe that green-haired person is somehow related to shinobu (most npcs have neutral hair colors). it also sounded like xiao was trying to get the traveler to snap out of it, so maybe he was the first to figure out the trap? but i’m also wondering, how exactly were their weaknesses found out in the first place? especially for a character like yelan, who seems to be quite secretive and good at manipulating these types of situations to her advantage? and what roles do yanfei, itto, and shinobu play in all this?
