acanthus :   is your muse deceptive ,   or willing to lie or deceive to achieve certain means ? why or why not ?

Vash is a liar. At least , he feels like one. It extends past grinning and enduring the pain that rips his body at the seams. Mended , re-mended , re-placed — all to destroy it again. ( but that's okay , because he can always re-start too. ) The lies have even gone beyond brandishing a gun with shouts of I'm Vash the Stampede to get bystanders out of town , scrambling like their lives depended on it. ( It of course did , but not for the reasons they believed. )

Yet perhaps the one that made him the guiltiest of all were his lies of omissions. He wears humanity like a veil , and though he isn't deceiving anyone , the unfiltered truth stays sealed behind his lips. There's a million reasons why he can't , but there's one reason buried deep why he won't. He dreams of a life where he can wake up well-rested , unbothered by the noises littering the night. Vash wants to eat lunch around a table , with other people and have dessert too. Vash wasn't asking for a perfect life , no , just a gentler one. A kinder one.

— but all lies unravel , no matter how intricately it's weaved. That beautiful dream of sunrises and peace inevitably falls away like the grains of sand capture in the wind.
