me being the sui-brained fan that i am, of course i hard-focused on the new IS6 teaser literally titled 'Sui's Garden of Grotesqueries'
Tumblr media
lets do a quick look into this! the new IS will be set in a baizao garden aptly named Jie Garden or 界园. we'll get to the garden name in a bit... the teaser video, which is made like an old analogue tape video, gradually glitches and removes or changes certain letters littered in either the scenery or the video text.
youtube
(this video has EN subs, and the pinned comment also has translations of the rolling text at the bottom!)
a twitter user pointed out an interesting theory about the glitched/removed/changed characters, and how it relates to the late 4th sibling, JIE (頡). notice the name? just like the garden name jie (界), although the tone is different (cmiiw).
※ edit: i meant to say Jie is our 5th sibling!!! sorry for the mistake
Tumblr media
so the name Jie Garden is highly likely an intentional tell on our late sui sister Jie. but if you're still not convinced, near the end of the video we see this show up (cc included):

look who we have here...
needless to say, as a Sui fan im very much hyped!

#cast your votes banbans. me personally i think we should discuss kishimoto's choices of environments it feels so videogame-y#the whole countries feel like minecraft biomes#it makes things fun but its hard to get a sense of place....
You should elaborate further, actually, bc this isn't something I noticed and you are the #1 Naruto biome fan I know
Thank u thank u.... i dont actually have enough negative things to say abt naruto biomes to make a proper criticism of it and certainel not one well structured enough to make it a good one. I just wanna talk abt environments....
I think this is smth that's actuall kind of good 😳 can we dare say it.... It's certainely a huge part of my enjoyment of naruto. I think the variety of environments makes the fight more dynamic and more real even if the randomness of it can feel kind of video game adjacent. But its so good to look at and it give a real identity to each fight! We remember the kakuzu fight for those skeletal trees too, and the kabuto and itachi fight for those stalagtites, etc.
I think smth that could have been made better, and would have rmoved their impression of only being backgrounds, is more interaction between the characters and their environments during th fights? Everyone including me loves the forest of death and that's becauye the forest itself was an integral part of the scenes! It didnt not only look good in static background shots (though fuck did it look good.), it came up often as a tool, an opponent, etc. This happens sometimes (itachi and sasuke ascending the tower durijg the culmination of their fight, another favorite) but not nearly often enough.
Ironicall kaguya's dimensions do it? There being lava or heightened gravity have an evident affect on the fights but it's much too one note to really feel interesting. It feels like a video game level again!

God, WTCs 1 and 2 were so beautiful, though. I hate that these incredibly gorgeous buildings are drenched in the tragedy they are (though 9/11 in itself is a very interesting event to research and learn about) because they are just kind of gorgeous buildings but I don't feel like I can post about them without, like, either making people think I'm doing a bit, or like, evoking 9/11 imagery unwanted which is like, you know, I'd prefer not to do either of those things. I just like these buildings aesthetically and structurally.

Sanctuary in the Glass Dome
Tumblr media
This breathtaking artwork portrays a tranquil scene of a transparent, dome-like structure nestled in the heart of a lush mountain valley. Surrounded by vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and flowing water, the dome appears as a harmonious fusion of futuristic architecture and untouched nature. Inside the dome, a lone figure sits in quiet contemplation, evoking a sense of peace and solitude. Towering mountains in the misty background frame the serene composition, creating an ethereal atmosphere that celebrates the coexistence of human innovation and the natural world.

The Bauhaus Movement: Redefining Art and Design
The Bauhaus School of Design, which flourished in Germany in the 1920s, is well-known for its influence on the design of products ranging from teapots to buildings and the development of design education worldwide. Its educational influence was felt mainly through its Basic Course in design. Many design schools still operate similar introductory design courses without understanding the…
