If you're from the Philippines, then you are aware of the situation we are facing right now. As of right, two provinces from the Philippines, Cagayan and Isabela, are sinking right now due to a recent typhoon Ulysses and from opening 4 dams (correct me if I'm wrong). There is no media coverage and people are relying on social media to spread the word. People are drowning, children are drowning, families are losing there home and they are still screaming for help. As much as possible please spread the word.

if yall need to reach me this week / the next few days im prolly either cramming for school , packing donations , or social media-ing elsewhere (bc a lot of ppl r turning to fb & twt to get rescued / open other drives) i’ve yet to see an intl donation drive but i’ll forward as soon as i see one for now just refer to this link for local ones

edit: also boosting here Pawssion Project PAWS Philippines bc from what ive heard animal rescues are especially hard (the water in cagayan’s past people now last time i checked)

Seeing everything that's happening in the Philippines right now is very disheartening, so many people have lost their homes and their families.

The government did not prepare for any of this, in fact they keep on reducing the calamity fund for useless projects (such as the manila bay beach and the billions of funds dedicated for the police)

If you are in the Philippines, if you are able to help in any way possible, please do and to all those who live outside the Philippines who would like to help, do not send money to the government funded organizations because as of now, the government hasn't been very reliable when it comes to these situations. Please send donations straight to local donation drives.

I am very lucky and thankful that my family back home is safe now but at this moment there are so many people who are in need of your help. There's no food and no proper evacuation centers for those who were greatly affected so any form of donation to the organizations who are out there and helping out would be very much appreciated.

Philippines is desperate need of help. Provinces in my country like Cagayan, Isabela, Tugegarao, Rizal, Cataduanes and many more places are flooded due to the Typhoons that came in this country. The Filipino people and competent local government are doing everything that they can to help. I am so angry and tired at our national government because they are not present and in action during this tragedy. Please spread the word that the Philippines needs help. Please the country is in desperate need of help.

you can unfollow me for speaking out about the issues in my country, but i beg of you please don't turn a blind eye. try to help through donations or raise awareness by reblogging. if you can use your voice to stand up for blm, lgbtq+ rights, gender equality, and other issues, then im pretty sure you can also do so to inform people about the sufferings of many Filipinos. two typhoons hit our country and people are drowning. the government does not care for our people. like how can they sleep so peacefully in their own beds knowing people, babies, senior citizens, children, women... they're all losing their lives. we're doing our best to send money and personally volunteer rescue teams to help them, but it's not enough. volunteers are also losing their lives in the flood (which has submerged a whole city i shit you not) from drowning electrocution because of grounded water. the pain is too much to bear. i cant go to sleep or even go about my day without thinking of these people who deserve so much better. so please tumblr i ask of you to please help raise awareness about this. its the least you can do to help our country.

Our country has been struck by a typhoon recently that causes the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, and Tuguegarao to be submerged in flood. People in the said provinces are in dire need of help, some of them aren't rescued yet, search and rescue are still on going but there are casualties already and we can't afford to lose more lives.
