Construction in the ancient world - walls resistant to earthquakes.
In the ancient world, as we all know, there were no architects and engineers. At least not in the professional sense of our day. Nevertheless, the ancient builders knew how to build buildings, which are still standing today. Buildings that leave us in awe and wondering 'how did they do it?' The level of understanding and intellectual sophistication of the construction leaves me stunned. In particular buildings that withstand earthquakes such as in South America, East Asia and Japan. The 'wisdom' is the method of chipping and arranging the stones. A combination of stones of varying sizes, and a multitude of tangential wigs. Who said that the people in ancient times were technologically complete, and not developed in terms of thought and creativity? www.efratmeiri.co.il

🏙️ Tel Aviv Rising – Reflections from Sarona✨
Captured on a clear day in the heart of Tel Aviv’s Sarona district, these modern skyscrapers mirror the Mediterranean sky in steel and glass. Shot with my #Canon #R5MarkII, each angle explores rhythm, symmetry, and a city constantly in motion. Have you ever looked up and just felt it?

Tel Aviv is restoring many of the iconic Bauhaus buildings along Allenby but this one hasn’t been touched yet. I’m not sure what the plan is for this building at the corner of Allenby and Sheinkin Streets across from the Carmel Market but I for one will miss the graffiti and iconic look. .. .. #telaviv #telavivyafo #telavivarchitecture #telavivcity #telavivbauhaus #telavivdaily #israel_view #israel_instagram #timeouttelaviv #isragram #israelarchitecture #igtravel #travelblogger #traveladdict #lonelyplanet #travelandleisuremagazine #exploremore #exploretheworld #destination_wow #creativecontentbuilders #ig_myshot #travelandlife #g.s.i #the_urbex_institute (at Ha'carmel Market, Tel Aviv) https://www.instagram.com/p/ByFFrnoAkeZ/?igshid=4q95tx21uuh6

I want to talk about green construction for a moment. In recent years, there has been an increase in awareness and interest in green construction, and in particular in advanced construction methods. as well as awareness of the benefits of these methods, and reducing the damage to the environment in which we live. Hence the path to ecological thinking is very short. But in practice, many projects are carried out using a wet construction method (blocks and concrete). And why? Is it at all a lack of planners with experience and knowledge of advanced construction methods? Is it because of a lack of engineers? Or due to the fact that there are few companies that supply different types of steel skeletons and little applied technical knowledge of these methods? And maybe it is due to the fact that there are no entities that consolidate the entire planning, licensing and implementation process in practice? www.eframeiri.co.il

The horseshoe house - the patio house The horseshoe is considered a symbol of good luck. People believe that hanging a horseshoe over the door of the house brings luck and protection. In architecture, the basic, most common model for a residence - a villa, in any culture, is the horseshoe house or patio house model. Meaning, a residential building around one central courtyard, which usually also has a pond or garden. We see this in the traditional Greek house, in the Roman villa, and of course, in the Japanese house, and in general in all Eastern cultures. And from here, to the Scandinavian farmhouses, the Spanish experiences and the palaces in Russia. Also in Israel, at the beginning of the settlement in Palestine, settlements were built around a central courtyard: Havat Kinneret, Havat Tel-Hai, Dobrovin Estate, etc. www.efratmeiri.co.il

Hi, can I ask you a personal question?
Do you also know people who vacation in nature every weekend?
Do you also have friends who, at every possible moment, get into the truck and drive to the desert?
Personally, I envy these people. Don't you ?
I want to offer you an offer:
Be the owner of a property where you can vacation.
Enjoy camping in the amazing nature of the Rio Grande River Valley.
Come own your piece of desert freedom.

Overly critical? If there's one area I've never liked in design, Not even as a girl is a girl, it's a childish design. To be precise, the use of a childish look in the design. Especially in home design. I understand the 'cuteness' and playfulness. The excessive use of the color 'joy' or 'joy'. But for every food that has changed my life, it always seems to me forced, polite, excessive. Just as using childish language was never clear to me. Over-critical, did I already say?

Purple bathroom. Sometimes the attachment to a design concept could be 'a little too much'. Somehow, whenever people talk to me about designing a purple bathroom, an image of a French brothel comes to my mind. www.efratmeiri.co.il

A map is a two-dimensional object, which was mostly planar, whose main purpose was the representation of three-dimensional objects on the surface of Euclidean space. The purpose of the map is an abstract presentation of the space, and an aid to navigation and orientation. In the past creating maps was an art, but in the modern era this field has become a science known as cartography. The map is also used for abstract representation of complex data, analysis and segmentation of spatial, social, human and physical data.
The metric measurement method originated in France during the French Revolution, it was determined as one ten millionth of the distance between the equator and the Earth's poles. Today there is a more precise definition: one meter is the distance that a light beam travels in a vacuum in a time of 1 divided by 299,792,458 seconds. www.efratmeiri.co.il

There is a season of the year that I really don't like - summer. Hot, sticky, oppressive. This year, summer for me is a time of change. If we are talking about renewal, then I renewed my sofa, at the upholsterer Jan Rubinstein. Honestly, I could be in her studio for hours. Choose fabrics, feel textures, test different combinations, and embrace old memories. I'm not afraid of combining colors or textures. My approach to color is: if it works in nature, there is no reason why it shouldn't work in a built space. Once the base fabrics of the sofa were chosen, the work passed to the respected, trusted hands of Jan Rubinstein. For me, and of course this is just my personal taste, the result is perfect. www.efratmeiri.co.il

In recent decades, there has been a trend in architecture of returning to traditional architecture, while adapting it to contemporary building materials, modern lifestyles, and contemporary design styles. The result is buildings with a local appearance, adapted to their environment in terms of construction style, and influenced by the local construction method in terms of the use of building materials and traditional building principles. But they have all the modern equipment and systems, such as electricity, mill, sewage, communication, that exist in the 21st century. Most of these buildings also have the intention of green thinking and optimal utilization of energy and recycling. They are a new interpretation of the concept of 'traditional construction' www.efratmeiri.co.il

Deployments or retirements? Every architect has found himself debating at least once in his professional life, do you write 'bathroom layouts' or 'bathroom layouts'? So some order in the Hebrew language: spreading: stretching, opening wide (of a sail, wings, cards, hands, etc.) slicing: cutting into slices (such as slicing bread); Debts, pipelines, deployment of forces in the field. www.efratmeiri.co.il
