Day 2
I awoke to a Khajiit standing over me. Startled, I started my flames, but he threw his hands up and asked for peace. Apparently I had made camp on the location of this travelling merchants regular shop location. I packed up, found a carriage, and rode the rest of the way to Winterhold.
The town I arrived in was nothing compared to what I expected. I had heard of the collapse, after the explosion of the Red Mountain of Morrowind, but the effect it had on Winterhold was truly terrifying. This once magnificent city all but reduced to rubble. One day I wish to rebuild this place to it's former glory, but for now, thankfully, the college is unharmed.
As I made my way up to the bridge, I was stopped and forced to show my skill if I wished to continue to the college. What has the college come to if the so adamantly refuse to allow the unskilled entrance. What of those those that, undeterred by the college seek education elsewhere? Somewhere more dangerous? Maybe I can change this one day as well. For now though, I must prepare for my first lessons.

Day 1 of my Journey.
I awoke in my camp east of Windhelm. I've almost made it to my destination, the College of Winterhold. By tomorrow, I should begin my journey to becoming strong enough to avenge my father.
Something odd happened though, shortly after I left my camp, I came across a small mill run by a woman named Anga, where I was attacked by a Dragon.  A DRAGON. Dragon's haven't been seen in over a thousand years, where did this one come from. All I had to defend myself was my father's sword and my fire. I prayed to Akatosh for help, and something even stranger happened, the dragon died. It just died. The gods truly answered my prayers. The strangeness then continued as the dragon's very essence flew into the air and into my body. As this happened, I heard what sounded like the voice of lightning, speaking in a strange tongue. Terrified, I ran, and didn't stop until I reached Windhelm. There, I heard gossip of these legendary greybeards who called upon the Dovahkiin. Could that have been the noise I heard? And why did it happen after I absorbed the dragon's essence. Maybe the will know more at the college, but for now, I shall make a camp outside of Windhelm. Tomorrow my destiny begins.
