OC kiss week! OC kiss week!
I've had that Anne Hathaway trio picture staring at me on my desktop for a year, waiting for this day. Holly, Lynch, and Jarvis are my main trio in the Warhammer fic Untouchable (which features exactly 0 canon characters, but we're here for the vibes), and they enjoy a relationship which I tend to summarize as third-wheeling-to-the-point-of-bordering-on-becoming-a-throuple. As you do.
Fourth year in a row doing this with them: 2021, 2022, 2023.

Rogue Trader was 20% off so I bought it, seeing how I always planned to but, you know, the bugs* kept me away.
I've only gotten about an hour into the game, and I'm not convinced that I've made a character that I want to play. I might backtrack and remake Philomena the snotty noble just to make her better at shooting stuff because right now she's pathetic. Or I might scrap her altogether.
So far the UI is less overwhelmingly messy than Chaos Gate's and blends better with the actual game, while also fitting the Warhammer vibe, so that's a plus. And, praise the Emperor, the game actually explains things - not just what your feats do (cue side-eye at Chaos Gate) but also lore stuff. Even basic Warhammer things like who the Emperor is have optional info available for newbie players. It's nice.
I also really like that the accessibility options include settings to accommodate three different types of color blindness.

I love the Darkest Dungeon. Great game, relaxing and stressful at the same time, but damn, the art. Perfection. So, yes, this is the second time I’ve drawn my own characters in that style. This time it’s the Darkest Warhammer, aka the Untouchable main cast.
Maybe one day I’ll animate them. Maybe one day I won’t cry when I draw weapons. Today is not that day.

I saw the template, saw the awkwardness level. Knew I had to.
As of January 2020 I have spent almost every day working a little bit on the WIP, and so far it’s added up to 7 chapters’ worth of accidentally-a-lot-of-plot in a Warhammer setting (it was meant to be a 10k PWP....) Those chapters add up to a NaNoWriMo novel, written, edited, and uploaded, and it feels so nice to enjoy writing again.
