#Jonas Spahr regrets wanting to have agency and now has to actually make decisions.
Text
like, because I pulled all those quotes for that post the other day, I've been thinking about where Spahr lands at the end of this recurring throughline about authority and such, like is all of this repetition of asking who is in charge since it's not Spahr going somewhere?
like, I've got more serious thoughts about it all, but I don't have the capacity to articulate them right now, especially since I'm uncertain where his character is in fact landing at this moment, so it's hard to really cast about for it.
but, anyway, I think someone should put Spahr in charge of something, actually in charge substantively. like, I don't know, make him stabilize the power vacuum in the Highest Light after the Trust collapses, even if just in an interim capacity. like make him have to be a major part of figuring out how to sort out the mess of what's left and what's next. if the Breach has to work out some new operation after this Vault bombing probably (definitely) doesn't work out, make Spahr plan it as someone with experience, even though he'll be basically showing up fifteen minutes late with a coffee to all of this. I don't know what options there are. like, put him in charge of something, however small.
I do legit tho really want to see what happens if Spahr has to be running things, except this time the decisions are actually his own. make him have to suddenly deal with the answer to "who's in charge here?" being, for once, for real, "you are."
