No you don't understand, I romanced Josephine whilst I was doing my worst, asshole Inquisitor run. I was lobotomising people, punching dorian, punching solas, killing blackwall, killing the chargers, killing hawke, getting cullen back on the drugs, pushing cassandra to alcoholism, exiling sera, dorian--cole left he hated me so much, compassion said i think not!!
Meanwhile Josies having her little disney princess romance and its so utterly disconcerting that it wasnt even funny. Like leilana is right to be concerned?? I am unhinged.
Wild they didnt include the advisors on the approval system cos that wouldve been fun to navigate.

11!
(Wren/Josie)
11. Pressing a chaste kiss to inner wrists
MY GIRLS MY GIRLS MY GIRLS!!
__________
"The Inquisitor is at it again, I see." Leliana didn't even bother to hide her amusement as she came to a stop next to Josephine.
"It" being a new round of training since losing her hand. Gone were the days when Wren could wield her monstrous warhammer and send her opponents flying like rag dolls amongst chunks of rock and earth.
Now she needed to work on the finesse of a sword, and get used to the feel of the shield contraption attached to her left arm. None of it had been easy, but she was improving by leaps and bounds every day.
So much so she was back to running makeshift tourneys with the recruits. All the young soldiers would lineup for a chance to face off against Wren. Bets were placed on the sidelines, just like the old days, while Cullen watched hawk eyed from the side lines to assess his soldiers.
They had been at it for a while now, and Wren was doing quite well for herself. She wasn't up to par with how she was before, but she still managed to win every bout thus far.
Sweat poured down her face, and she had stripped off her tunic in favor of the thin shirt she wore beneath. Josephine had not spent the better part of the morning admiring Wren's arms. Or her back. Or any part of her, really.
"She is doing quite well today." Josephine commented, simply because she knew she had to say something.
"Her form is definitely improved," Leliana said thoughtfully. "Put her in some proper armor, and she would cut quite the dashing figure. Like a knight out of one of Varric's novels. Don't you agree?"
"Yes, I suppose so," Josephine said.
"Perhaps a favor would bolster her, she does seem to be waning a bit."
Indeed Wren was starting to slow down, her blocks a little late and her hits a little light. Josephine would say that she needed to call it a day, but Wren was nothing if not stubborn so she doubted she would heed her advice on the matter. Although a break would do her some good, at least.
Without a word to Leliana, she strode forward to the makeshift practice ring, specifically to the bucket of water the troops used to drink. She scooped up some of the clear water with one of the ladles hooked to the side, careful not to slosh it down her front, and beckoned Wren over.
She was in between bouts, so she accepted the invitation. Carefully laying down her practice sword and unbuckling the shield from her arm. Without needing to be asked, Cullen stepped in to run the recruits through some drills to keep them entertained.. and perhaps distracted.
"You look parched," Josephine held out the ladle.
"Guess it is time for a break, huh?" Wren wiped at her brow. "Not as young as I used to be."
"Is the great Inquisitor Adaar admitting defeat?"
She snorted loudly before slugging back a drink of water. Josephine was certain she flexed her arm on purpose with the motion, head tilted back just a little too far in order to expose her neck.
"Nope, just admitting that these kids are putting me through my paces." She eyed Josephine askance, lips curving slowly. That was never a good sign. "Don't worry, you'll still be able to put me through my paces later. Not that old yet."
"Wren!" Josephine hissed. "Everyone will hear you."
"So?" She dropped the ladle into the water bucket, and reached out for Josephine's hand to lace their fingers together. "Not like they don't know we're together."
Wren bent down to brush a kiss against Josephine's knuckles, eyes locked with hers. Perhaps Leliana was right, she did make for a fine knight. Josephine's heart fluttered in her chest when Wren turned over their linked hands, and laid another kiss to the inside of her wrist.
Maker, but she was too charming by half.
Josephine could only stand there, utterly enchanted, as Wren placed a series of soft kisses to her cheek, the corner of her mouth, before finally claiming her lips. A long moment later Wren broke the kiss, and leaned in close to brush her lips against the shell of Josephine's ear.
"Although if anyone doesn't know we're a couple. I'll just have to make sure they hear you, later."
"Wrenelia!" Josephine could feel the heat flooding her cheeks.
She tried swatting at Wren, only to have her dance away while laughing loudly. Wren blew a kiss at Josephine as she backed away, her grin wide and impetuous.
Maker take her, but Josephine loved her.
