After Spencer got out of prison, he honestly thought he couldn't love or be loved again until you guys started dating.

At first he felt bad because even though he was the older one, he thought he was immature from waking up every night because of the horrible nightmares. But you reassured him that it was okay and you could never be mad at dreams he had no control over even if it woke you up, you would always be there.

Although he was more busy after prison with paperwork and his mom, he would always find time to read to you still. Whether it was after he got home from a difficult case and was exhausted or if he had been home with you all day, he would still read to you with a smile on his face.

Has become more okay with pda. He still wouldn't kiss you in front of people or pull you into his lap, but he would more frequently catch himself sliding his hand on your knee or resting on your back.

He loves being a part-time professor now because it gives him an excuse to call you and say he "forgot his lunch." When you get there, he's not letting you go.

Brings you with him to visit his mom more often. Diana loves you and always remembers you, but Spencer worries that one day she will have a bad day, and that would scare you, so you'll leave.

You buy him soaps and other hygiene products, and it always pleases him to know that there will always be some for him (because of prison 🙁). He also let's you wash his hair.

A/n I got my Star Trek knowledge from Google so if it's incorrect, whoops!

When she finally came to the conclusion she was going to ask you out, her idea of a first date was taking you to her favorite football game. So after most people left the bureau, she sat at her desk and started calling places, hoping to get tickets.

"Sorry for leaving you on hold there." The muffled voice spoke off the phone. "How can I assist you?"

JJ scoffed before mumbling out, "It's only been the 10th time tonight." Before repeating the same speech she's said all night, "Yes I would like to know if you have any Washington Redskins football game tickets left?"

Right then Derek opened the door with an obvious smirk on his face, "You're taking her to a football game she barely knows about on your first date?" Now JJ would never ask Morgan for dating advice because he seems to have a new girl every week, but she was desperate and probably not getting those tickets.

After talking about you and what you like (profiling what you like), they decided that berry picking seemed like a good idea.

Asking you was the second step. JJ thought she wouldn't be nervous because with her job she had lots of experience talking to people, but when you smiled at her walking towards you she started to worry what if you say no, what if you don't like girls, what if this was all wrong? what if you just don't like her?

When she got to you, you were sitting with Spencer listening to him explain how Star Trek was mostly scientifically correct.

"For example, antimatter reactors and warp drive, while not yet fully realized, have a basis in theoretical physics." Spencer spoke, moving his hands along to demonstrate.

"Mhm." You nodded along turning around to find an escape route until you saw jj.

"jj! Come over here!" You motioned her over watching Derek pull Spencer over behind the door to jj's office. "Derek- no I wasn't done talking!"

"Now is not the time, Reid!" He shut the door and opened the blinds.

"What's all that about?" You spoke sitting on your nearby desk smiling at her.

"Not sure," she smiled back before it faltered, then faded. "So I came to ask you something."

"Are you okay? What is it?" You worried, did you do something?

She let out a dry chuckle then averted her gaze to the office door where Morgan, Reid, Elle and Garcia were huddled up stairing right at you. "No, no, you didn't do anything. I was wondering if you would go out with me?" She looked back up at you.

You smiled at her, "Like a date?"

She nodded "Yes. Unless you don't want it to be."

You shook your head "No I want it to be."

That's how you both ended up on your hands and knees with baskets in hand, picking blueberries and strawberries.

"Here." You wiped your red stained hands on your already stained shirt and tucked her blonde hair behind her ear and pulled back her ponytail.

"Thanks." She smiled and popped a blueberry in your mouth.

After you filled your baskets, you sat at a picnic table together to talk and eat some berries.

"Do you think Hotch knows we're here?" You asked jokingly, taking a bite out of your strawberry.

"I think everyone knows Garcia probably told them before I even asked." She laughed.

"Hey," a guy in his 30s approached your table with a smirk too confident.

"Blondie, what's your name? My phone needs it for your number." He said, his much younger friend Howelled from across the field.

"I think your phone will be okay without it." You gave him a sarcastic smile, and he scoffed before walking away.

She thanked you and leaned in for a kiss, which you happily returned.

You left the field with four baskets of berries and jj as your girlfriend, prepared for the endless teasing from Morgan and hugs from Garcia.

From working in jobs that require to tell people horrible news and deal with people having panic attacks frequently, she knows how to deal with them quite well.

She would be the first to help you. Softly and sweetly she would tell you to take deep breaths.

She would ask you if you wanted to be touched. If you say yes, she would hold you or rub your arms and back. If you say no, she would respect that and keep her space but keep telling you to breathe.

Once you calmed down a bit and were able to talk, she would ask you calmly and steadily what was wrong. She would listen to you the whole time and not interrupt.

When you are done telling her she would reasure you and ask what you needed. You want music? She's running to grab her phone. You want to take a nap? She's taking you to the closet to grab some comfy clothes and blankets. You want to cuddle? She'll drop everything to comfort you and tell you everything will be okay.

Overall she's very reassuring and comforting. She would comfort you every day if it meant it gave you even the slightest bit of peace.

A/n I focused on when he got shot in the leg in season 5 also I love this idea!!

At first he would be angry, not directly at you but at the fact he can't do anything himself especially because he's become so used to taking care of not just himself but other people too, so not being able to just stand properly bothered him more than anything.

He tried to stand and walk around to do productive things, but you caught him in the act.

"Spencer!" You walked (dragged) him back to his new designated spot on the couch. "The doctor said you have to sit and rest if you want your leg to heal."

"I am a doctor!"

As much as he tried not to take his annoyance out on you because all you were doing was helping him, there was no one else to huff and puff to.

"Spence," you walk into the living room where he's sprawled out on the couch a pile of read through books besides him with a look of annoyance on his face.

"What is it?" He offered a smile that didn't take a profiler to notice it was forced.

"Do you want some tea?" You sat next to him to try and offer some form of comfort.

That's when he accepted it. You were being so nice, and he was being a childish brat.

After that he would let you take care of him, even if he wasn't used to it and still a bit frustrated he loved you and you clearly loved him enough to put up with his childish behavior.

You sat beside him and he would lay his head on your lap, waiting for your hands to move to his hair mindlessly, bringing him more comfort than his crutches and cast ever could.

"Spencer, do you want to go to bed?" You looked down to find his face when you realized he was already asleep, probably dreaming about being able to take care of you instead.

Coming to terms with your care made his days simpler. Instead of re-reading every book in his grasp, you would bring him cross word puzzles on his food tray and frequently go to the library for him to make his days at home go by faster.

Once the day came that the doctor told him he could walk without crutches, he was grateful he thought until he realized he missed you taking care of him because it was nice to be the one taken care of instead of being the caretaker.

She notices when you don't come to greet her at the door when she comes home after a case because you're always running up to her with open arms, but this time you weren't in sight.

After you don't reply when she calls your name a few times, she starts to worry thinking something happened and you were hurt or worse.

She slid her hand towards her gun, walking up the stairs to get to your room.

Once she opened the door she found you sleeping with your clothes still on and the room a mess.

"Hey," she murmured quietly, moving her hands through your hair.

"You're home." You replied to her, sounding like you haven't spoken in hours, which was true.

JJ moved the thin blanket covering your waist off the bed and gently coaxed you up from a light slumber towards the bathroom.

She gently pulled off your clothes and started a bath for you. She brushed back your hair off your neck and started to ask if you were okay and if you've been taking care of yourself.

You told her you were exhausted and haven't been able to do anything, including sleeping, which has taken a toll on your everyday life. She listened patiently, tracing shapes on your thighs and rubbing your back comfortingly.

In the bath, she scrubbed your hair and body for you so it would be much quicker and more comfortable for you.

After you finished your bath, she dried your hair, pressing kisses on your head and layed out a fresh set of pajamas for both of you.

She held you in bed, brushing your hair back, hushing your worries until you fell asleep less exhausted and more in love with jj then you have ever been.
