The Scale of Most Dominant to Most Submissive Criminal Minds Characters

Elle Greenaway - Hard Dom

Okay I feel like Elle and Emily easily compete for most dominant in this group, so I just put Elle's name at the top because I feel like she doesn't get enough attention in the fandom <3

Being in a Relationship with Emily Prentiss - Headcanons

Gaining Emily's trust is a privilege. She will try to keep her vulnerable side hidden for as long as possible but you're relentlessly showing her softness and kindness until she finally opens up.

Once she gets there, Emily is the most loyal partner there is. She would do anything to protect the people she loves.

It's surprising to you, but she is the first one to say "I love you". When she does, you know she is in it with all her heart and soul.

She usually keeps her private life to herself but when someone asks about you, she can't hide how much she adores you. Emily could go on for hours talking about how amazing you are and how much she loves you.

Whenever you have to get up before her, she moves over to your side of the bed to breathe in your scent because she instantly misses you when you leave the bed.

Emily loves to take you out to fancy restaurants. You always tell her that it's not necessary but she really likes it when you doll up for her and she can show you off in public.

When she's feeling safe, Emily can get very flirty in public. She likes to make suggestive comments to see you getting all riled up. But don't worry, she will take care of you later.

Whenever you announce that you're taking a shower or a bath, she will drop everything to shed her clothes and join you. She cannot get enough of seeing and feeling your bare skin.

Emily loves to praise you and give you nicknames. She likes to be in control in bed and makes sure to cater to all your needs.

After getting comfortable with each other, you show her that she deserves to be taken care of as well. She will let you take the lead every once in a while and really likes it when you call her princess.

can they use chopsticks?

definitely. she’s got pretty good hand-eye coordination so she picked it up relatively quick, and every time the team gets takeout where chopsticks are involved, she, inevitably, ends up trying to teach spencer how to use them until he gets too frustrated and ends up using a fork.

what do they do when they can’t sleep?

it depends where she is, she usually doesn’t have any problem falling asleep if she’s home & in bed with you. if you’re next to her, she’ll play with your hair or rub your back until she feels herself start to drowse off, but if she’s away on a case, she’ll pour herself over case files or (finally) get a start on the book she’d stashed at the bottom of her go-bag until she’s on the brink of passing out.

what do they impulsively buy at the grocery store?

cheap, boxed wine & chocolate covered almonds. occasionally, she’ll sneak a bag of uniquely flavoured chips into the cart just so she can say she’s tried them; you’ve turned finding the most unusual chip into a competition.

what’s their coffee order?

if it’s hot, nothing but two splenda. if it’s iced, vanilla syrup and oat milk.

what sort of apps do they have on their phone?

the basics: texts, facebook, and scrabble. once she saw you playing episode and decided to try it for herself, and before she knew it, she had love island and too hot to handle downloaded, too. story games are her guilty pleasure, and even though she says she only plays them on the jet to pass the time, you’ve rolled over in bed and caught her furiously muttering about how she has to ‘buy diamonds to make the story interesting’ quite a few times. she’s also very partial to paint by numbers & sudoku.

what do they watch on tv when they’re bored and nothing they really like is on?

hells’ kitchen or the real housewives of new jersey. they’re always her go-to’s when she’s in a hotel with basic cable and she doesn’t have any good connection to stream something she actually likes. if she can’t find either of those, she’ll look for any horror movie made before 1995 and let it play purely as background noise.

do they remember names or faces easier?

names—she is SO bad with faces. on a couple occasions she’d been talking about someone at work who had pissed her off with them literally within the circle of people she was talking to because she has such a hard time matching the faces to the names—especially with summer interns.

on an average day, what can be found in their pockets?

a handful of pens (half of which don’t work), bobby pins, a lighter, a few loose cigarettes (she is a stress smoker) and maybe some gum, if you’re lucky. sometimes she forgets to clean them out before shoving everything from her go-bag directly into the washer, so you might find the odd trinket she’d subtly collected from different cases—a local detectives card, a pebble, a motel room key she’d forgotten to return.

Gender and Sexuality Headcanons - Criminal Minds Characters

These are my sexuality and gender headcanons for the main BAU team from Criminal Minds. My sources are me: a queer and trans person. All right, let’s get into it.

Aaron Hotchner

I see him as bi, but it’s not something he really thought about until after the divorce.

He and Hayley were highschool sweethearts, he really didn’t need to think much about his sexuality.

And he thought it was normal to think guys looked good. He can tell when someone’s attractive, doesn’t mean he’s attracted to them.

Even though in this case, he was.

For gender, I guess cis? If you ask him, that’s what he’d tell you. He uses he/him pronouns. He’s very confident in his masculinity and he likes it.

But it’s also not something that really matters to him and who he is, ya feel?

Spencer Reid

He’s trans and bi.

Basically had to raise himself to begin with, and learn how to care for his mother while raising himself that adding trans care to the mix was something he had to put off until he was eighteen.

Though, this does mean that he’s read a lot of trans-care articles in the time he couldn’t put his research into action.

Because he’s felt like a boy since elementary school. It’s just something that made sense to him so he went with it.

Derek Morgan

He has the potential vibes to be trans, you know what I mean? I personally like both sides of this for him, so I’m not hard stuck one way or the other.

I do see him as presenting straight, preferring to appear straight even though I think he’s also probably bi.

Despite being bi, he most likely leans towards women more often than not. This is both due to preference and a little bit out of fear of being with a man.

I think he’d have to really trust the man if he followed through with those feelings. 

Emily Prentiss

She is a lesbian.

Men do not interest her. She does not care about men. She does not care to date men.

She’s pretty open about it when you ask, but it’s not something you’d probably suspect from her (but also she had that goth phase in high school-)

Gender-wise, I’m open to the headcanon of her being a trans-woman! Honestly I think that’s iconic. But, like Morgan, I’m not really hard stuck one way or the other.

Bi. She’s dated a few women in her past.

She does, though, really only give me cis-women vibes.

Anyway, it’s not something she really talks about cause it’s not really a ‘thing’ for her.

She dates who she dates, and it she doesn’t make a big deal out of it.

David Rossi

Okay David. He’s like - he’s never been intimate with a man, but there’s a certain emotional intimacy that he shares with some guys that give fruity vibes, you know what I mean?

So technically, he’s straight because he’s never slept with a man, but there’s vibes there is all I’m saying.

Also a cis-man. He’s too old nowadays to care about that.

Penelope Garcia

Okay queen. I think she’s pan. She loves and she loves and it doesn’t matter who you are (unless you’re mean and nasty and hate kitties) she has a lot of love to give.

And she gives she/they energy, you know what I mean? They like being girly, but it’s in a fun, androgynous way.

The most fluid with their gender out of the group. Again, a queen.
