Backstory: The Pakistani-American wasn’t really much of a troublemaker. She kept up her grades, went to the mosque, and had friends. In her spare time, she wrote and read fanfics, and played video games. The average teen. But one night she snuck out to a party to prove to herself that she wasn’t such a goodie-two-shoes. She soon quickly realized that partying wasn’t really her thing. As she stormed off from the party, a great mist covered the city. She didn’t know what it was at the time, but it was Terrigen mist that unlocked her connection with her Inhuman abilities. Unsure of how to control her powers, she turned into her idol. Carol Danvers, but not as Captain Marvel, as Ms. Marvel. Over that night she caught the attention of the media and the name stuck even though her look as Carol Danvers didn’t. Kamala was happy to be herself as Ms. Marvel. Since then, from the help of her best friend, Bruno, she would defend her home, Jersey City, from anything and anyone who tries to harm it. As she got more recognition, she eventually became an Avenger! Her dream come true, and only at the age of 16. However, it wasn’t what she expected, and she wasn’t living up to the high standards she was asked to meet. Being a teen hero is hard! So, she, and Spider-Man (Miles Morales) quit . They eventually formed their own group of teen heroes called The Champions, where anyone could be a hero. But the pressures of the hero world, Civil War 2, her personal life, and school caused Kamala to burnout. In this burnout she stepped away from her life as a hero and reflected on her morals. She didn’t like the person she saw in the mirror. But after a long time of talking to her Imam and friends she came back to hero work eventually.
