Victor Goppe (1962) - graphic artist, sculptor and designer. Since 1988, he has been engaged in graphics, sculpture and design. Author of the interiors of public buildings in Kineshma and other cities. He is fond of the author's book. Since 1989, he has been engaged in the artist's book, founded the Victor Goppe Publishing House. During his publishing career, he collaborated with many writers and poets. Since the late 90s, he has been participating in all group exhibitions of the artist's book. In 1997, he exhibited in Paris at the "Count" gallery of Luc Mono (the largest specialist in livre d'artiste). Books, sculpture and graphic works of the artist are stored in the Ivanovo Art Museum, Kineshma Art Gallery, in private collections in Russia, France and the USA.

Vivienne Mort! that's Ukrainian indi rock, I'd recommend starting with Персефона

Also SHORTPARIS is a strong contender. Can't say I love their music, but their videos are a work of art. They're not for everyone

Both these groups are very much about Russian invasion of Ukraine ofc

Also I've sampled They might be giants. Very much my jam have to listen more

4. Movie of the year

Haven't seen a lot of them this year, so no strong contender. If I'd go with the freshest impressions, then I'd choose Del Toro's Pinocchio. I'm predisposed to like works about grief

11. Something you want to do again next year?

Probably travel? For fun I've visited Armenia, Morocco and the town of Kineshma in Ivanovo district. And for work I've been to Ryazan, Izhevsk and of course to Moscow like three times

Feels nice, takes my mind off things and at the same time gives me new shiny things to think about

Viktor Nikolaevich Goppe was born in Kineshma, Ivanovo region. In 1985 he graduated from the sculpture department of the Riga Art and Industrial School named after. S. Erzi. After school, he graduated from the Department of Graphics of the Moscow School of Ukraine. He has been engaged in graphics, sculpture and design since 1988. Author of interiors of public buildings in Kineshma and other cities. He is fond of the author's book. Since 1989, he has been engaged in the artist's book, founded the Victor Goppe Publishing House. During his publishing career, he collaborated with many writers and poets (R. Elinin, K. Kedrov, I. Irtenyev et al.). Since the late 90s, he has been participating in all group exhibitions of the artist's book. In 1997, he exhibited in Paris at the gallery "Graf" by Luc Mono (the largest specialist in livre d'artiste). According to Victor Goppe, "the design of the publication: format, technique and size of illustrations are determined by the text. The material should evoke an emotional response, interest, excitement in the artist". Books, sculpture and graphic works of the artist are kept in the Ivanovo Art Museum, Kinesh Art Gallery, in private collections in Russia, France and the United States. Lives in Kineshma and Moscow.
