Jace Underwood
PART 1: THE BASICS
What is your full name? Jace Mykeal Underwood
Where and when were you born? Born in Maryland on March 9, 1994
Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.) Mother names was Aurelia Riggs, but married and dropped Riggs to be Aurelia Underwood. Father name is Blake Underwood.
Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like? Sister, Bailey Underwood. To him, he’s super proud of her and all she’s accomplished. He thinks she’s hardworking, caring, and nurturing. They look out for each other.
Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people. Jace lives alone in a townhome now. It’s decorated with the help of his sister, but not anything over the top. Lots of white, red and black in his home.
What is your occupation? Jace is a civil engineer who specializes in disaster management. His main job is to ensure that different structures throughout the city are prepared to withstand natural disasters, assess the risk posed to specific communities, and also to help lead rebuilding efforts. He works for FEMA. Due to his degree, he also is able to pick up side contracting gigs and do work to inspect homes in preparation for sale/purchase.
Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks. He's tall with a semi-athletic build, he works an active career so its not hard to stay slim. He weighs about 200 and is 6'2. He enjoys tattoos with two full arm sleeves, connected by a chest piece. He also has tattoos covering his stomach, and legs. His hair is almost always covered by a hat of some sort and his locs reach his shoulders, but are constantly growing. He has brown eyes. He likes to dress comfortably, he's not fancy by any means. Fancy to him is throwing on a designer version of the atheltic wear he is typically donning. A lot of his clothes are black, gray, and white, but he does have a ridiculous shoe collection that he will utilize to pull in a random pop of color. His preferred uniform? Sweats, a hat to match, and white t-shirt, maybe a hoodie/zipup to match the sweats if its a little chilly out. His favorite shoe is the Jordan 1.
To which social class do you belong? Jace is a solid upper middle class citizen. He earns a six-figure salary at his full-time job and does enjoy doing that work. Jace has the ability to make additional money through side hustles (home inspections, commercial real estate inspection) but he hasn't pursued that as his main line of work for his own personal reasons (benefits, time off, etc.).
Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? Jace doesn't have any known food allergies, but has really bad seasonal allergies. Its one of the reasons he enjoys LA, because they don't flare up as bad as they did when he was a kid. They are triggered by the fires though as the smoke in the air has significant impacts on air quality and his ability to breathe.
Are you right- or left-handed? He's left handed.
What does your voice sound like? His voice is deep. It's strangely southern, but not indecipherable. Most of it is due to the people he hung around in college and adopting their slang. When he's upset, his native DMV accent will come through, but generally his accent is neutral.
What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? "Nah" "type shit" "Bet" "yo"
What do you have in your pockets? Keys, vaseline, phone, pack of gum. & if its the weekend, he probably got a gun in his waist band.
Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? When he's stressed, he wipes his hands over his face. He also tends to play with the tips of his hair when he's deeply focused in a conversation. His face is naturally deadpan, which might make some people think he's a lot more unapproachable than he actually is.
PART 2: GROWING UP
How would you describe your childhood in general? Jace generally had a happy childhood. He was a true little boy, grass stains in the jeans, frequently doing little daredevil stunts on the playground and always wanting to be outside. He was forced into being a more responsible, and mature kid at about 6 when his parents had their second child.
What is your earliest memory? Jace's earliest memory is getting ice cream with his grandfather before watching football games on the weekends. His grandfather would often watch him so that his parents got down time, but he loved those times.
How much schooling have you had? Jace has earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
Did you enjoy school? Jace grew up in a pretty high structured home environment, so while he didn't love the academic aspect of school, he did what he had to do to get scholarships and graduate on time.
Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? He learned most of his skills from his dad. His dad taught him in many ways how to be a man and taught him alot about materials used to build things, it was just something the two of them were always talking about. Jace would be marvelled at the architecture of buildings and bridges in DC and his dad would go into depth about how they were built and sustained. His dad also taught him the simple things like how to cook for himself (even though his mom was the true chef of the family) and how to clean up after himself as a man.
While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them. Growing up his father was his role model until he wasn't. Jace admired his dad for being the head of his family, but when he learned that his dad had been cheating on his mother for much of his life, it shattered the image he had of him. It was then that Jace began to idolize his mother for both her physical and mental/emotional strength. She was the glue to keep their family together.
While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Jace wanted to be G.I. Joe when he grew up. He literally just wanted to be super strong and be able to save the world from bad guys. He got lucky falling into the work that he did, because he literally graduated high school with no plan besides to follow the money, which happened to be at CalTech. He didn't know what he was going to do with his degree, which partially explains the brief but impactful crashout period he had right after finishing college.
As a child, what were your favorite activities? His favorite thing to do as a kid was try to turn his little sister into a little brother, play outside with bikes, and go to the park. He also enjoyed getting to spend time with his grandparents.
As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? As a kid he was adventourous, goofy, friendly, and energetic.
As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like? He was a well-liked kid, but popular is a reach. He didn't become popular until high school. He had a close friend named Neal in elementary school, and he also had Pop Warner Track and Field teammates who he hung out with and were always invited to his childhood birthday parties.
When and with whom was your first kiss? His first kiss was in third grade with a girl named Mariah. It was nothing eventful, they kissed behind a tree at recess and she was his girlfriend for the rest of that day.
Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? He lost his virginity in high school to a girl named Miko. He really liked her and they were a real puppy love couple, but once Jace lost his virginity, he turned into a whore. Poor Miko, he broke that girls heart because for the rest of high school he really was for everybody.
PART 3: PAST INFLUENCES
What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? His mother's funeral because it changed his brain chemistry and who he was. He became a bit colder after that, and a bit more reckless. He has since matured but that event made him really lose touch with reality for a while.
Who has had the most influence on you? His mother and sister have the greatest influence on him. He will do anything for their favor.
What do you consider your greatest achievement? Jace’s greatest achievement was purchasing his home.
What is your greatest regret? He feels pretty bad about how he treated the girl he lost his virginity to. That girl did not deserve to get played like that.
What is the most evil thing you have ever done? The most evil thing he's ever done is pistol whip someone because he lost a street race. He split the gentleman's brow open and broke his jaw. He got away with the crime, but it took him a while to sleep peacefully afterwards without thinking someone was out for their getback.
Do you have a criminal record of any kind? Jace has been arrested a few times for reckless driving and violating gun laws. He's been licensed to carry but has gotten caught up a few times with where he's had his gun and the circumstance with which he got caught in. He's never spent more than 2 weeks in jail and his record was clear enough to get him a job with FEMA. They still on his ass about them charges though...
When was the time you were the most frightened? Jace was most frightened the first time he pulled a gun on someone. He had no intentions of using it, but he pulled to regain control of a situation. His fear was that he was going to have to kill someone because they called his bluff. Fortunately, that did not happen.
What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you? The most embarrassing thing that ever happened to Jace was when he got his ass beat by one of his ex-girlfriends old (but not old) boyfriends. Jace had fallen in love with the girl, but she was a little quicker than him when it came to the love game. He called himself fighting for her love and got his ass beat by somebody he should've never tried to fight to begin with.
If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why? Jace would wish that his parents never split up. It started a nasty spiral of him feeling like nothing was real in the world and made him really resent his father. He would change the fact that his father was a cheater so that his mom never felt the need to end their marriage and he thinks that would've fixed all the problems he had later in life.
What is your best memory?Jace's best memory is one of the times he went to Disney World with his family as a kid. He was 11 at the time and he just remembered how happy everyone was. He got to take his younger sister on a lot of the rides, and be his definition of a good big brother. His mom and dad were also genuinely happy, and it was a weekend filled with a lot of love and laughter in his family. They also stayed on the resort, so it felt like an extra magical weekend. Only the closest people to Jace know that Disney World is still to this day one of his favorite places because of how magical it is.
What is your worst memory? Worst memory is for sure the death of his mother. Not actually the day that she passed but the months leading up to it.

Legacy's Character Development
PART 1: THE BASICS
What is your full name?
Legacy Jimena Sarmiento
Where and when were you born?
April 19, 1996 in Dallas, TX
Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
Gricelda Elena Banegas de Sarmiento (32, at the time of passing) -- she was an interior designer. A very supportive and loving mother, very present and aware of each of her children. Strongly believed in tradition and passing values down from generation to generation. Loved her family with every fiber of her being. Ultimately transitioned due to complications with sickle cell.
Joaquin Lorenzo Sarmiento (51) -- he is an owner of a chain of authentic mexican restaurants across the state of Texas. Prior to Legacy's mother passing, Joaquin was very open and loving to his children. He encouraged them to face their fears and takes risks in order to gain the most out of life. After her mother's passing, he tried to retain his previous demeanor but you could tell the death of his love chipped away a big piece of who he was. The following years after her mother's death was used to rebuild and strengthen the familial bond that became strained.
Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
Harmony Giselle Sarmiento (29) -- is her partner in crime. Before their younger sister arrived it was just Legacy and Harmony against the world. They lean on each other for everything and support each other throughout all of life's curve balls. She's ambitious, a little reckless and goofy as hell. She's the life of the party and possesses an infectious energy that's hard to ignore. Legacy will literally kill for her older sister. She's a big reason why she's become the woman she is today.
Reina Xiomara Sarmiento (22) -- is like her first child. Reina probably is responsible for the copious amounts of gray hairs Legacy has plucked over the years. She's the rebel out of the bunch and always walking to the beat of her own drum. Reina holds some resentment for her older sisters, mainly due to them being extremely close and sharing memories of their mother that she wasn't present for. Aside from that, Reina does truly admire her big sisters deep down. Even if you have to waterboard her for that particular piece of information.
Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
She recently moved into 825 South Hill Condos on her own. She got her knack for interior design from her mother, so her condo is very minimalist chic, with pops of color for contrast. She's a plant momma so be prepared to enter the jungle when visiting her space. Her space is very calming and relaxing. She hopes to evoke a sense of security from all those who happen to stop by.
What is your occupation?
Influencer/Brand Ambassador
Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.
She's 5'5" and fluctuates between 125 and 130 lbs depending on her workout regimen. She has a very toned body and exercises regularly. She has brown eyes reminiscent of melted chocolate. She's very fashion forward and takes immense pride in the way she presents herself. She may not dress for the Met Gala everyday, but she'll always look put together with whatever she wears. She has one tattoo on her right butt cheek that says "bad girl" & a belly button piercing.
To which social class do you belong?
Upper middle class due to her income from being a brand ambassador
Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
She has a tree nut allergy, inherited the sickle cell trait from her mother. She recovered from a torn ACL from her tenure in gymnastics when she was a teenager.
Are you right- or left-handed?
Right-handed
What does your voice sound like?
Her voice is very distinguishable, but not in an annoying way. She has a warm rich timbre when she's regularly speaking. When she's tired or aroused her voice can gain a breathiness that could add some sensuality to it.
What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
"Girl" & "Please don't piss me off"
What do you have in your pockets?
Little bit of cash, carmex & cell phone
Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
When she's concentrating she bites her tongue. She tilts her head slightly to the right when she's confused. She has a undiagnosed ADHD so she tends to cut people off in conversations, but never with malicious intent her mind is always in overdrive.
PART 2: GROWING UP
How would you describe your childhood in general?
Honestly her childhood was bittersweet. Growing up everything was perfect, she had the best family anyone could ask for. They would barbecue everyday in the summer, visit festivals, carnivals and take trips to Mexico frequently to visit family. Her mother passed when she was 12, so life after that seemed to have lost it's color.
What is your earliest memory?
Closing her eyes while opening her presents on Christmas, she was 4 years old.
How much schooling have you had?
She double majored in Communications & Marketing at Texas Southern University.
Did you enjoy school?
It was a struggle focusing due to her being easily distracted, but she pushed through. Aside from her studies she thoroughly enjoyed the people, her roommate in particular. They're still close friends to this day.
Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
She learned her skills mostly from her mother, older sister and experiences she had while navigating through life and higher education.
While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.

PART 1: THE BASICS
What is your full name?
Fabio Tremaine Spencer
Where and when were you born?
New Orleans, LA…October 29, 1999
Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
His father, Leo Spencer, a no-nonsense construction foreman, values hard work and discipline but struggles to understand Fabio’s artistic path. While he respects his son’s independence, their conversations are brief and practical. His mother, Marisol Spencer, a warm but overworked nurse, has always been his biggest supporter. She nurtured his artistic side from a young age, slipping him sketchbooks despite Leo’s push for more traditional pursuits.
Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
His older brother, Nico Spencer (30), is the family’s golden child—charismatic, ambitious, and following in their father’s footsteps in construction management. Nico has always been the leader, the one who takes charge, leaving Fabio in his shadow. His younger sister, Lena Spencer (22), is bold, outspoken, and fiercely independent. Unlike Nico, she admires Fabio’s creativity and defiance of expectations, often acting as his biggest defender in family debates.
Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
Fabio’s two-bedroom condo is a reflection of his quiet, artistic nature—minimalist but with carefully curated details that speak to his personality. The living room is centered around a low-profile black leather couch, a glass coffee table with tattoo magazines and sketchbooks scattered across it, and a mounted TV. Chrome, his female Rottweiler, has claimed the oversized dog bed in the corner, though she’s more often found sprawled across the couch or curled up at Fabio’s feet.
What is your occupation?
Tattoo Artist
Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.
Fabio stands at about 6” even with a lean but defined build. His skin is a warm, golden brown, hinting at his mixed heritage. His eyebrows are thick but well-groomed, slightly arched, adding to the sharpness of his face and full lips. His eyes are a deep, rich brown, slightly hooded, giving him a naturally intense gaze.
To which social class do you belong?
Middle Class
Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
Fabio has a mild allergy to pollen, which flares up in the spring and early summer, causing occasional sneezing and itchy eyes. He also has a slight sensitivity to shellfish—not severe enough to be life-threatening, but enough to make him avoid it after a bad reaction once.
Are you right- or left-handed?
Fabio is right-handed. He uses his dominant hand for tasks like writing and drawing, and it's his go-to when tattooing as well.
What does your voice sound like?
Fabio's voice carries a deep, resonant tone, rich and smooth. His accent is unmistakably that of his hometown, the words rolling off his tongue with a slow, melodic cadence. There's a touch of rasp to it, adding a sense of rawness, especially when he’s feeling particularly passionate or expressive.
What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
“For sho” “Your heard me?” “Wassam”
What do you have in your pockets?
Mainly carries his phone, wallet, keys, and a lighter.
Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
When it comes to his work, Fabio’s a perfectionist. He can spend hours refining a tattoo design or making sure every detail is just right. He doesn’t like to leave a job unfinished or imperfect, and it often leads to him working later than planned or pushing himself to do more than what’s asked.
PART 2: GROWING UP
How would you describe your childhood in general?
Fabio’s childhood was a mix of freedom, quiet observation, and an underlying sense of not quite fitting in. As the middle child in a family of four, he often found himself navigating the delicate balance between his siblings—one older, one younger—both of whom were bold in their own ways. They demanded attention, leaving Fabio to carve out a quieter, more introspective existence.
What is your earliest memory?
Fabio’s earliest memory was of sitting on the floor of his father’s garage, the scent of oil and metal thick in the air. He couldn’t have been more than four years old, small enough that the oversized hoodie he wore practically swallowed him whole. His dad, was beneath an old sedan, his legs sticking out as he worked, humming some tune that Fabio didn’t recognize but found oddly soothing. He remembered gripping a small wrench in his hands, turning it over and over, pretending he knew what to do with it.
How much schooling have you had?
K-12
Did you enjoy school?
Fabio had a complicated relationship with school. He wasn’t the type to hate it outright, but he never really enjoyed it either. He was smart—smart enough to skate by without putting in too much effort—but he never felt particularly engaged.
Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
Fabio learned his tattooing skills through a mix of observation, trial and error, and mentorship from experienced artists. As a teenager, he started hanging around a local tattoo shop after school. At first, he was just an extra set of hands—sweeping floors, cleaning stations, and running errands—but he paid close attention to everything, soaking up the techniques like a sponge.
While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
Fabio didn’t have a traditional role model—no famous athletes or celebrities he looked up to—but he did admire the older guys in his neighborhood who had carved out their own paths.
While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
Fabio’s relationship with his family was complicated but not without love. As the middle child, he often felt overlooked—his older sibling was the trailblazer, the one expected to set an example, while the youngest got away with more, soaking up most of their parents’ attention.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A police officer
As a child, what were your favorite activities?
Drawing, Painting
As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
He was always more of a watcher than a talker, soaking in the world around him rather than declaring grand ambitions.
As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
He wasn’t the most popular, but he wasn’t invisible either—he sat in that middle ground where people knew him. His closest friends were usually kids who, like him, weren’t trying too hard to fit in. They were the type to kick back in garages, skate in empty parking lots, or link up to freestyle and mess around with graffiti.
When and with whom was your first kiss?
Fabio’s first kiss happened when he was thirteen, behind the bleachers at a school football game.
Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
His lost his virginity to the same girl, it wasn’t all too great but the two agreed to be friends afterwards.
PART 3: PAST INFLUENCES
What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Fabio would probably consider the moment he got his first tattoo gun and completed his first real piece on someone as the most important event of his life so far. It was the turning point that solidified his passion for tattooing and proved to him that he could make a living doing what he loved.
Who has had the most influence on you?
Rico saw potential in Fabio early on and took him under his wing, teaching him everything from technique to the business side of tattooing. But more than that, Rico was the first person who truly believed in Fabio’s talent and pushed him to take it seriously.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Fabio would consider his greatest achievement to be the moment celebrities and high-profile clients started coming to him for tattoos.
What is your greatest regret?
There were moments where Fabio could have reached out, could have checked in more on family, but he didn’t. Even now, though they speak occasionally, there’s an unspoken tension between them that reminds
What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
The most evil thing Fabio has ever done was setting someone up to get jumped as payback. He didn’t throw a punch himself—he just stood back and watched as it all unfolded. He told himself it was justified, that the guy had it coming.
Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
Fabio doesn’t have a serious criminal record, but he’s had a few run-ins with the law. Mostly minor offenses—disorderly conduct, trespassing, and a couple of disturbing the peace charges from his younger years when he was a little too reckless. He’s also been caught driving without a valid license once.
When was the time you were the most frightened?
The most frightened Fabio has ever been was the night his older brother got jumped right in front of him. He was around 14, standing on the corner with his brother when a group of guys rolled up on them. That night changed him. It taught him that the world didn’t wait for you to be ready.
What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
He signed up to do a spoken word performance, something he thought was unique and different. His nerves took over, and the words he had rehearsed so carefully didn’t come out the way he planned. Fabio stumbled over his lines, forgot key parts of the performance, and ended up standing there awkwardly as the crowd grew increasingly uncomfortable. The worst part? He saw a few people in the crowd laughing at his misfortune.
If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
It would be the time he spent keeping his feelings to himself, especially when it came to his family. Because he was always quiet and reserved, he distanced himself from others.
What is your best memory?
Fabio took a solo road trip to the coast. He rented a small, rundown cabin by the beach, not caring about luxury or comfort. It wasn’t about the destination, but the experience of being completely alone, with no one to answer to, no expectations to meet. For the first time, he felt completely free.
What is your worst memory?
Fabio's worst memory wasn't tied to any one mistake or failure, but to the day his childhood dog, was put down. He had grown up with Boogie, a American Bully that had been his constant companion throughout his younger years.

LA Task 1: Part One
PART 1: THE BASICS
What is your full name?
• Kieran Tariq Hope
Where and when were you born?
• At home (not planned) on April 12th, the year of 1995.
Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
• His mom is Vashtie Johns has been battling drug addiction since her late teens, and it’s something that has taken a toll on her appearance and health. She has a history of hopping from job to job, never quite able to hold onto anything long-term, often relying on others for support or living on government assistance. When she's sober, she can be distant, withdrawn, and forgetful, her mind consumed by cravings and past traumas. However, when she’s high, she’s an entirely different person; lively, fun, and free-spirited, often the life of the party. People gravitate to her when she's "on," but when she’s off, she's hard to rely on. Vashtie has a deep love for her kids but struggles to express it consistently. She’s been in and out of rehab multiple times, but the cycle never seems to end.
• Tyrone Hope, he’s always been a bit of a mystery, an angry and unpredictable figure in Kian’s life. Tyrone’s struggles with alcohol began long before he and Vashtie met, stemming from a difficult childhood where his own parents were neglectful. Despite his issues, he’s a hard worker when he's sober, sometimes taking on blue-collar jobs or working construction but his temper often gets the better of him. When he drinks, his anger takes over, and he's been known to lash out, both verbally and physically. This created a toxic atmosphere in the household. Tyrone’s relationship with his son is distant and often filled with disappointment, but he holds a quiet hope that his son will avoid the same pitfalls.
Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
• I have 12 siblings, yeah, 12. We’re a pretty complicated bunch. Some of us are close, and some… not so much. Growing up was unpredictable most of the time. Because of our parents’ struggles, we didn’t always stay together. Some of us ended up in foster care, others were taken in by relatives. It wasn’t easy. I was one of the middle kids, and I always tried to look out for the younger ones when I could, but it felt like I was constantly trying to hold back a flood with my bare hands. We all carry different wounds from how things were, some of my siblings have a lot of resentment toward our parents, and others just cut ties completely. A few of us are trying to heal and forgive in our own ways. Despite everything, there’s still this bond. It’s not always healthy or easy, but it’s there. My younger brother, Kian, is the one I’m closest to, we live together now. No matter what, I still hold onto the hope that we can all find our way back to each other someday.
Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
• I live in a three-bedroom condo in Los Angeles with my younger brother, Kian. He’s a successful lifestyle vlogger, so one of the bedrooms is dedicated to his filming setup, think tripods, ring lights, and a sleek editing desk. The rest of the condo has a sleek, masculine vibe. The furniture is modern, black leather sectional, glass coffee table, and minimalist bookshelves. We’ve got dark wood floors and a few industrial-style touches, like exposed metal light fixtures. The walls are painted in neutral tones, and there’s some understated art—mostly abstract pieces in black, white, and gray. There’s also a small balcony where I go to unwind.
What is your occupation?
• Community Outreach worker at a non-profit aimed to help at risk youth in underserved communities.
Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.
• I stand at 6’0”, slim but with lean, toned muscle, a build shaped by years of pick-up basketball and the kind of physical work that comes with my job. My skin is a deep brown, and my long locs usually fall past my shoulders, though I tie them back when I need to focus. My eyes are dark, and I’ve been told they give away too much when I’m lost in thought or feeling something too deeply.
When it comes to style, I keep it simple, fitted jeans, plain tees or button-downs, and neutral tones. I like to stay comfortable but put-together, and I’ll throw on a blazer or a lightweight jacket when work calls for it. I have a plethora of tattoos, each with sentimental significance. There’s a tattoo on my left forearm that reads ‘Hope’—our family name, but also a reminder to hold onto it, no matter what. No major scars, just a few small ones scattered across my hands and arms from a rough childhood.
To which social class do you belong?
• Middle Class
Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
• I was born premature, and my lungs didn’t develop fully, which left me with asthma. It’s mostly under control now, but when I was a kid, it was a lot worse, every little cold or too much running around could trigger an attack. Even now, I still carry an inhaler with me just in case. It’s a weakness I’ve learned to live with, but it also taught me to listen to my body and not take my health for granted. I try to stay active and healthy so I don’t let it slow me down.
Are you right- or left-handed?
• Right-handed.
What does your voice sound like?
•My voice is deep but steady, with a calm, measured tone. People say there’s a certain warmth to it, the kind that puts others at ease, something I’ve leaned on a lot in my work with at-risk youth. I’ve got a slight rasp, probably from growing up with asthma, but it’s softened over the years.
What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
• Stay steady, you’ve got this, solid, bet.
What do you have in your pockets?
• Chapstick and my wallet.
Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
• I have a habit of tapping my fingers on whatever’s nearby when I’m deep in thought—it’s something I’ve done since I was a kid, and my siblings used to call me out on it all the time. When I’m nervous or trying to stay calm, I tend to roll my shoulders or adjust my locs—small motions to keep myself grounded. I also have this thing where I’ll quietly hum under my breath when I’m focused on a task.
PART 2: GROWING UP
How would you describe your childhood in general?
• My childhood was… complicated. Growing up in Los Angeles with 12 siblings and parents who struggled with addiction meant life was unpredictable. Some days were okay, but a lot of them felt like walking a tightrope, never knowing when things would fall apart. We moved around a lot, sometimes living together, sometimes split up between relatives or foster homes. I learned early how to take care of myself and watch out for my younger siblings when no one else could.
There were family dinners here and there when things weren’t so bad, and those rare moments of stability are what I held onto. But for the most part, my childhood was about survival. It shaped me into someone who’s steady under pressure, but it also left scars I’m still working through.
What is your earliest memory?
• My earliest memory is of sitting on the front steps of a house we lived in for a short time, I must’ve been four or five. It was just before sunset, and I remember the light hitting the sidewalk, making everything look golden. My mom was inside, and my older brother sat next to me, sharing a piece of pizza because we didn’t have much else to eat. I remember the feel of the warm concrete under my hands and the sound of a neighbor’s radio playing some old R&B track. Even at that young age, I think I sensed the weight of things.
How much schooling have you had?
• I graduated from college, but it was far from a straight path. While I was earning my degree, I was also juggling the responsibility of looking after my younger siblings. There were days I’d be in class one moment and rushing home the next to make sure they had dinner or helped with homework. It was exhausting, but dropping out was never an option, I was determined to get that degree. I studied social work and psychology because I wanted to understand what we’d been through and figure out how to help others going through similar struggles. In a way, those years taught me just as much about resilience as they did about anything academic.
Did you enjoy school?
• School was a mixed bag for me. I liked learning, especially anything related to psychology or social studies, classes that helped me understand people and the world around me. But it wasn’t easy to focus when I had so much going on at home. There were times I’d be sitting in class, worrying about my siblings or whether we’d have food on the table that night.
Some teachers saw the weight I was carrying and really supported me, which made a huge difference. Others just saw me as a kid who was ‘distracted’ or ‘difficult.’ In college, it was a little better because I was studying what I cared about and had more control over my time. It wasn’t always fun, but I valued it. Education was my way out, my way of building a future I could be proud of.
Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
• I learned most of my skills the hard way, through life experience. Growing up in a household with 12 siblings and parents who struggled with addiction meant I had to grow up fast. I learned how to take care of others by necessity, stepping into a caretaker role for my younger siblings whenever things got rough. That taught me patience, empathy, and how to stay calm under pressure.
I picked up my problem-solving skills from navigating the disfunction, figuring out how to keep the lights on, handle school, or smooth over conflicts. College helped sharpen those skills and gave me the foundation I needed for my work, especially in social work and psychology. But my real education came from the kids I work with. Every day, they teach me how to listen better, adapt, and show up for others in a way that really makes a difference.
While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
• Growing up, my biggest role model was my older brother Marcus. He was the one who stepped up when our parents couldn’t. Marcus taught me how to take care of my siblings, how to stay steady when things got rough, and how to fight for what mattered without losing yourself. He was far from perfect, he made his own mistakes along the way but he never gave up on us.
I also had a teacher in high school, Mrs. Thompson, who saw something in me. She was the first person outside my family who believed I could do more than just survive. She pushed me to stick with school when I wanted to quit and taught me the power of persistence and empathy. Between Marcus and Mrs. Thompson, I learned that leadership is about showing up, consistently, even when it’s hard. They gave me the foundation I needed to become the person I am today.
While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
• Growing up, my relationships with my siblings were complicated but strong. With 12 of us, there was always noise, arguments, and clashing personalities. I felt responsible for my younger siblings—stepping into that caretaker role wasn’t a choice, it was just something I did because someone had to. We were close, but that kind of closeness came with a lot of pressure.
My older siblings were harder to connect with. Some of them tried to take care of us when they could, but others distanced themselves from the family to escape the trauma. I didn’t hold it against them, they were just trying to survive, too.
As for my parents... that’s a harder story. There were moments of warmth, but they were few and far between. Most of the time, it felt like we were raising ourselves. There’s still a lot of resentment and hurt there, but I’ve learned to focus on forgiveness, for myself, if not for them.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
• I had dreams of being an artist of some sort.
As a child, what were your favorite activities?
• As a kid I loved playing basketball, listening to music; I taught myself how to play the guitar and piano, I also loved writing.
As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
• As a child, I was always the responsible one, even before I fully understood what that meant. I was always the jokester. It was my way of coping with everything going on around me.
As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
• In high school, I was well-known, mostly because of sports. I was a star athlete, and that came with its perks. I had a solid group of friends, mostly teammates, who were cool with me because of the bond we had on the field. We kept things light and focused on the game.
But there were always a few people who liked to stir things up, trying to bring up my family situation or make jokes about my parents. I hated that. I wasn’t about to let anyone disrespect my family, no matter how hard things were at home. I got into my share of fights over it, mostly out of anger and frustration. People didn’t understand what it was like to carry that weight around every day.
Despite that, I had a few solid friends who really saw me for who I was beyond the athlete or the kid with the messed-up family. They were loyal, but I always kept my circle small. I wasn’t about to let just anyone get close enough to judge me or my family. I’d learned early on that the less people knew about my life at home, the better.
When and with whom was your first kiss?
• His first kiss was a girl who was his neighbor around the age of 8.
Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
• TRIGGER WARNING SA MENTIONED: He lost his virginity to his mom’s friend Tammy who would watch them often, when he was just 9 years old.
PART 3: PAST INFLUENCES
What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
• The most important event of my life so far was graduating from college. It wasn’t just about the degree, it was about everything I had to fight through to get there. Balancing school with taking care of my siblings, working jobs to help keep the lights on, and still pushing forward despite everything pulling me back, it all came down to that day. When I walked across that stage, it felt like a victory not just for me, but for my whole family. It was proof that we could break the cycle of struggle, that even when life kept throwing punches, I could stand tall.
That day, I realized that I wasn’t just surviving anymore. I had built something, even if it didn’t look the way I thought it would. And for the first time in a long while, I felt like I had a future I could shape on my own terms.
Who has had the most influence on you?
• Mrs. Thompson, my high school teacher, saw potential in me when I thought I was just another kid trying to make it through. And Mr. Reyes, my college counselor, pushed me to not just finish school, but to figure out why I was there in the first place. They didn’t let me fall through the cracks like so many other kids do. They made me realize that my circumstances didn’t define my future, that I could do more than just survive, I could actually thrive. Without their belief in me, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
• My greatest achievement is making it through college and graduating while still being there for my siblings. It wasn’t easy. I had to balance schoolwork with being the constant in my younger siblings’ lives, making sure they had everything they needed, even when I barely had time to take care of myself. There were times I wanted to quit, throw in the towel, and focus on just surviving. But I kept going because I knew how much it would mean for all of us.
What is your greatest regret?
• I wish I had learned earlier that it’s okay to not be okay and that taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of others.
What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
• I don’t know if I’d call it evil, but there’s one thing that still haunts me. There was a time when I pushed one of my younger siblings away because I was overwhelmed, feeling like I couldn’t handle everything and I just needed a break. They came to me for support, and instead of being there for them like I always had, I snapped and told them to deal with it on their own. I felt like I was carrying the weight of the world, and I took that frustration out on someone who needed me. It wasn’t right, and even though I apologized, that moment still eats at me. I never want to be that person again, but it’s a reminder that even the best intentions can lead to mistakes when you’re stretched too thin.
Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
• I’ve had some run-ins with the law, mostly when I was younger. I got into a few fights, mostly in high school, when people pushed me too far by talking about my family or making fun of my situation. I wasn’t always good at controlling my temper, especially when I felt like someone was crossing a line. There were a couple of incidents where I was arrested, but they didn’t lead to anything long-term. Thankfully, I had people in my corner who helped me avoid anything more serious.
When was the time you were the most frightened?
• I would say the first time I seen my mother overdose.
What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
• The most embarrassing thing that ever happened to me was when my mom showed up to school high. I don’t think she meant to, it’s just that when she was using, she wasn’t always aware of what she was doing. I was in the middle of class, and the door swung open, and there she was, stumbling in, barely able to hold herself together. The whole class went quiet, and I could feel every pair of eyes on me. She started rambling about something, and I had to rush to get her out of there before things got worse.
If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
• If I could change one thing from my past, it would be the way I let my anger control me, especially when I was younger. I spent so much time hiding behind jokes and letting my temper flare whenever someone crossed a line about my family. I let those moments define me for a long time, and it held me back from building better relationships or even just finding peace within myself. Looking back, I wish I’d known how to deal with my emotions in a healthier way.
What is your best memory?
• My best memory is from the time when I was in college and I finally graduated. It wasn’t just the ceremony or the diploma, but the feeling of having made it through everything. I was surrounded by a few of my siblings, who had come to watch me walk across that stage, and it was the first time in a long time that thing felt normal.
What is your worst memory?
• My worst memory is the day the social worker came to get me while I was in elementary school. I remember waking up and finding out that things were bad enough that they were taking us away. They separated me from my siblings, and I had no idea when I’d see them again.

🔸 PART 2: GROWING UP
How would you describe your childhood in general?
▫️ I’d say my childhood was a mix of organized chaos and quiet moments of solitude, depending on the day. With so many of us, there was always something happening—whether it was sibling arguments, someone needing a ride, or just the noise of everyone doing their own thing. But it was also... fun, in a way. You couldn’t help but develop a thick skin and a lot of patience. I had to carve out my own space, literally and figuratively. But California—especially the laid-back vibe—was the perfect backdrop for it. We’d all pile into the car for beach trips, or have family BBQs in the backyard, and I remember the warm evenings, sitting outside in the fresh air. My parents were pretty hands-off in the best way—there was enough room for everyone to find their own way. It wasn’t always perfect, but I wouldn’t trade it.
What is your earliest memory?
▫️ My earliest memory? Hmm, I think it’s the smell of the ocean. I was probably about four or five, and I remember my older siblings dragging me along on one of our beach days. I couldn’t swim yet, but I loved running my hands through the sand, feeling the warmth of it, and then the cold rush of water hitting my feet. But what really stands out is the sound of my dad’s laughter as he tried to get the grill going while my mom yelled at him to keep an eye on us kids. It was like that moment captured the whole family: chaotic, noisy, but somehow still... peaceful. I remember feeling safe, even though there were so many of us, and I was just one of the bunch.
How much schooling have you had?
▫️ I’ve had quite a bit of schooling, actually. After high school, I went straight to college, first getting my Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. I spent a lot of time experimenting with different mediums—paint, sculpture, photography. Then I went on to get my Master’s in Art History. I didn’t want to just create art, I wanted to understand the stories behind it too. After finishing my Master’s, I decided to teach. I spent some time as a TA, and then I moved into full-time teaching. The process of learning never really ends for me, though—I'm always taking new workshops or diving into research to keep my own art evolving. I guess that’s why I love teaching so much; it keeps me engaged, constantly learning, and it gives me the chance to share that passion with my students.
Did you enjoy school?
▫️ I actually did enjoy school, though in different ways at different times. Growing up in a big family, school was often a place where I could escape the chaos for a little while, a space where I could focus and express myself without having to compete for attention. I loved the creativity of art classes from a young age; they gave me a chance to really lose myself in something. But I was also one of those students who liked the structure of it—following a syllabus, diving deep into a subject, and learning things piece by piece. College was a whole other experience—challenging, but in the best way. I didn’t always love the late nights studying or the stress of deadlines, but I thrived on the energy of being surrounded by other passionate people.
Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
▫️ Whether it was sneaking in time to sketch in the backyard or experimenting with different mediums, I taught myself a lot just by playing around and making mistakes. I also spent a lot of time studying artists I admired—some of my skills came from simply dissecting their work and trying to understand what made it tick. And now, as a professor, I’m always learning from my students.
While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
▫️ Yeah, I had a few role models growing up, but the one who stands out the most is my mom. She’s a drug addiction counselor, and watching her work really shaped how I view the world. Her patience, empathy, and dedication to helping others taught me so much about resilience and compassion. I admired the way she could listen without judgment and help people find their way back from dark places. She wasn’t afraid to speak up or make tough decisions, and that strength stuck with me. Growing up in a big family, I learned a lot just by observing how she managed everything—being there for all of us while also giving so much of herself to others. She showed me that you don’t have to be flashy or loud to make a real difference in people’s lives. Her work inspired me to take my art seriously, not just as a way to express myself but also as a means of connecting with others. Her example taught me that art, like therapy, can be a powerful tool for healing.
While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
▫️ Growing up in a family of seven kids, things were always... interesting. We got along, for the most part, but let’s just say there was a lot of competition for attention. Being the fifth of seven, I sometimes felt like I was in the middle of it all—both literally and emotionally. I had my own space and independence, but I also had to figure out how to carve out a voice when everyone else was trying to do the same. My siblings and I would argue, of course, especially as we got older, but there was this unspoken bond that kept us close. We always had each other’s backs when it counted.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
▫️ As a kid, I always wanted to be an artist, but not in the way people expect. I wasn’t dreaming of being famous or having a gallery show—I just loved the idea of creating things that spoke to people. But I also went through phases—at one point, I wanted to be a writer, then a marine biologist, just because I loved the ocean so much. But as I got older, I realized it was art that always pulled me in. I didn’t really think about teaching at first, but looking back, I guess I was always drawn to sharing what I knew. I would sit with my younger siblings, showing them how to draw or paint, and I loved seeing their excitement when they created something they were proud of. In a way, teaching found me just as much as I found it.
As a child, what were your favorite activities?
▫️ As a kid, I loved drawing—whether in a notebook or on random scraps of paper. I’d also spend a lot of time at the beach, collecting shells and rocks. It’s where I think I started appreciating textures and natural forms. I was always reading, especially about artists, and trying to recreate their work. When I wasn’t drawing or reading, I’d sneak off to my room to make something with whatever supplies I could find—sometimes a new art project, other times just a mess.
As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
▫️ As a kid, I was definitely quiet but determined. I had a lot of focus, especially when it came to drawing or working on something creative. I’d get lost in my art for hours and wasn’t easily distracted. At the same time, I was independent—I liked finding my own way and wasn’t always looking for attention. But I was also patient, probably because I had to be with so many siblings around. I didn’t mind being in the background, but when it came to something I cared about, I was all in. I think I was a little introspective, always observing everything, but I also had a sense of curiosity that pushed me to explore new ideas and try new things.
As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
▫️ I wouldn’t say I was popular, but I had a small circle of friends I was close to. I always connected with people who appreciated the quieter, more creative side of life. My friends were mostly other 'oddballs'—the ones who liked reading, sketching, or just hanging out in the background instead of running with the crowd. They were a mix of artistic types and dreamers, people who weren’t afraid to be different. We’d spend hours drawing, talking about books, or even just watching the waves at the beach.
When and with whom was your first kiss?
▫️ I had my first kiss with Mckayla in 4th grade.
Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
▫️I lost my virginity to my boyfriend at the time after junior prom.
🔸PART 3: PAST INFLUENCES
What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
▫️ The most important event of my life so far was probably when I decided to pursue teaching. I’d always loved art, but I wasn’t sure I could make a living out of it. I’d been painting, experimenting, and doing my own thing for years, but when I started as a teaching assistant in grad school, everything changed. I realized how much I enjoyed helping others discover their creativity, seeing that spark in their eyes when they figured something out. It made me realize that teaching could be just as fulfilling as creating art. That decision set my whole career in motion and gave me a purpose beyond just my own work. It felt like I was finally stepping into a role that combined my passion for art with my desire to connect with others.
Who has had the most influence on you?
▫️My mom.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
▫️ I’d say my greatest achievement is becoming an art professor and finding a way to blend my love for art with my desire to help others grow. It took me a while to realize that teaching was my calling, and I’m proud of the fact that I’ve been able to build a career where I can inspire students and help them discover their own creative voices. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see them develop not just as artists, but as individuals.
What is your greatest regret?
▫️Taking the higher road during certain disagreements.
What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
▫️Cheating on my ex.
Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
▫️No.
When was the time you were the most frightened?
▫️During my first PCOS flare up and the long process of doctors figuring out what was going on with me.
What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
▫️Having to wear braids for majority of 10th grade because my older sister gave me horrible bangs.
If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
▫️I would speak up more especially in my early college years.
What is your best memory?
▫️ Beach days with my family.
What is your worst memory?
▫️Letting my anger get the best of me and fighting my ex.
