I wish you would write a fic/tidbit of Adam in any situation you’d like (General fic? Lamlor? Etc) (I honestly love how you’ve captured his sense of humor in his appearance at your maylor phonebook fic)

Lamlor (I hope script fic is okay!)

Adam watched on as Roger finished signing a young woman's poster with a flourish of his pen and a cheeky wink, before walking over to him with their drinks after the fan walked away. Her day had clearly been made.

Adam: I hope she wished you a happy birthday for next week otherwise I'll have to pull her back here.

Roger: Oh god, she did. (He laughs but puts his head in his hands beofre dropping them again) She said she saw us years ago in the 80s just before my birthday then, too, but she was gutted that the show she went to they didn't sing me happy birthday because it was a few days before.

Adam: Oh... *gets a gleam in his eye*

Roger: Don't get any funny ideas! No. We just did that for Brian and we did it for my birthday last time. I never have any idea what to do when people sing me happy birthday

Adam: You're just meant to stand there and soak up the adoration

Roger: I can only do that when I'm drumming or doing something.

Adam: You poor little wallflower.

Roger: *snorts* Hardly. *takes a drink of his drink* Oh that's nice. Less of the little, you.

Adam: My old little wallflower.

Roger: Oh god so old.

Adam: No! I didn't mean old.

Roger: Too old

Adam: *hugs him closely, but carefully because they are still in public and their realitionship is still a secret, then whispers* Not for me

Roger: It's hard to believe sometimes

Adam: That's okay, I'll remind you everyday. *light kiss* Every morning, every night. *light kisses*

Roger, taking this conversation in a different way: .... I like the sound of that 😉

Adam: *mumbling sexily* I bet you do. Shall we make our escape, now?

Roger: I'll go up first, you follow in ten minutes. Don't let Brian waylay you. If he starts tallking to you, just point him to Spike and just walk away

Adam, light admonishment: So rude!

Roger: I'll show what's rude... *walks away*

Summary: A much needed conversation in a dressing room after a few weeks of tension. Adam wants to start a relationship, but Roger isn’t so sure.

😂 Adam probably uses the ones like “Teddybear” to cheer Roger up because Roger finds it so ridiculous he ends up bursting into laughter. The more Fancy (tm) ones like “Light of my life” etc. are when he’s being very sappy

Roger: is grumpy 🤨

Adam: Roger, my dearest?

Roger: fuck off I'm stewing in my anger

Adam: oh honey, no don't do that. Come on. My darling.

Roger: humph

Adam: the press don't know what they're talking about. You know this. You've known that for 50 years.

Roger: Yes and I'm just as angry now as I was back then

Adam: But they're not worth your time, babe. You could be doing so many better things right now. Roger. My dear. My love. The sparkle of my eye

Roger: *starting to smile* shut up.

Adam: My personal cuddlebug

Roger: *smile twitching*

Adam: my favourite teddybear.

Roger: 🤣 okay okay. Stop it. What do you want?

Adam: to see you smile and I just did.

For Lamlor, would they ever choose to go public with their relationship? And if it comes out in some way (whether by then revealing it, or paparazzi catching them etc), how would they deal with it? (I imagine Roger’s protectiveness comes out in full force)

Hmmmm... i think Roger wouldn't want to. He likes to keep his private life more private these days and he's always hated the press. He knows how bad it can get and how much worse the press is these days and he wouldn't want that for Adam or his kids. Roger comes across as the type of person who won't raise to the bait about him (anymore) but hurt or insult someone he loves and he gets angry.

But I can also see not being public hurting Adam. Maybe a bit of self doubt would creep in and maybe he'd think this is a shame thing. Either thinking Roger being ashamed to be with Adam or with a man after so long of being with women or at least someone young enough to be his child, or thinking Roger thinks Adam is ashamed to be with such an older man and any related insecurities Roger may have. And like, How can Adam be himself if the person he loves wants to pretend he isn't who Adam loves? How can be put and proud if he can't talk about his loving relationship?

So Roger has to evaluate things and changes his mind. They go public on very limited terms. A small post on Instagram with a picture of him and Adam together with a statement that him and Adam are very happy together and he doesn't care if anyone has a problem with it. He gives permission for Brian and his children to repost it on their Instas with their thoughts and feelings attached.

(Brian being Brian gets a bit wordy about how Roger’s relationship with a man does not change who he is as a person and that any one who has a problem need to have a word erith themselves, followed by how he supports their relationship 100% and throws in a reference to Freddie before signing off with a bunch of lfbtq flags and kisses.)

Oh but if they get papped and outed, whole different kettle of fish. Roger will be angry at the intrusion and the tone of the article. They both will be but I think Adam would emphasise how disappointed he is that a happy or private moment has been stolen from them for monetary gain of the photographer. It would force them into a public statement but Roger would be more succinct about his feelings in response to any criticism and find ways to tell people to fuck off that won't get him fined. He'll try and keep Adam from reading anything about them or answering his phone unless it's too a specific few people.

And at the end of day, him and Adam get on his yacht and go somewhere nice for a week to enjoy each other's company without being harassed. And also Roger wants to keep Adam away from seeing the news articles about them and doesn't realise Adam knows this and loves him for it.

And for their whole time away, they indulge in the three Ss! Sun, sea and... Swimming!

And twice now Roger has complained in an interview about that one New York Times reporter who called Q+AL’s harmonies “suspiciously accurate” (and in the TSMGO documentary, Roger added, “What a shitty thing to say!”). And in the other interview Adam was right there next to him while he mentioned it. He was probably thinking like “I am so surprising him with cuddles, a massage, and all the nicknames I can think of after this”

Yeah when Roger gets a bee in his bonnet it seems to stick around for a while! Adam probably has to tell him repeatedly he doesn't even care. Roger's the only one that cares about something a silly journalist said one time so many years ago.

But Adam loves him for it anyway! Many cuddles coming Roger's way <3

Yes that photo of Roger with his face smooshed into Adam’s neck is adorable. I’ve spent so much time going through videos of the bows of every 2014-2015 shows (Roger’s golden robe and Adam’s cheetah/leopard suit were only worn for that part of the tour) but I still can’t find that moment

Well, the kiss on the hand is precious. Then we've got the sideways hug and Roger's hair's a bit all over the place.

I might have imagined this but I remember a sort of cuddle where it looks like Roger gives Adam a kiss on the neck? I... did that happen? 😅

But really, it's their interactions in interviews I love. Roger turning to look at Adam when he talks about him. Adam saying such wonderful things about Roger (and Brian). Their eyes are so warm when they look at each other i just dfghjkl I think the one after Lockdown was the first inkling of the Lamlor spark.

Aww, of course Roger would take Adam out on his yacht to relax away from all the press. And after things have calmed down and they get back on tour, maybe Adam would do little things during shows (like he does irl for his boyfriend)-changing the pronouns during Crazy Little Thing Called Love (“There goes my baby, he knows how to rock and roll…”), pointing at Roger while proudly singing “I’ve fallen in love!” in IWTBF

Yesss I love this idea! And because he's busy drumming, poor Roger can't put his face in his hands like he did when the audience sang happy birthday.

That was absolutely adorable, thank you so much!! I love this consistent theme of Adam always looking out for Roger and the many ways he shows his love for him (“Don’t let Brian waylay you” had me laughing- There was probably a time that Adam followed like thirty minutes after he was supposed to and Roger just went “What took you so long??”)

And the terrible thing is, both of them are interested to a degree in the things Brian tells them! Just, not right there and then. Especially if there's expensive champagne going warm.

😂Roger “I hate the medium of musical theater” Taylor dating Adam Lambert, whose career literally started with musicals, is the most beautiful thing ever. The moment that occasional musical watching is over, Adam thanks him with so much cuddles and also makes up for it with anything Roger wants

How would Lamlor be on a movie date night? (Who cries during an emotional movie/scene?)

Aw. Movie date night.

Right well, Roger would choose the movie because he's the one out of the both of them who is harder to please. Very occasionally he will watch a musical if Adam really wants to watch one but they both know Roger would rather have his innerds removed whilst still alive and awake than watch most musicals. He is also picky with animated movies and movies with young kids in them. So straight away, Roger's choosing the movie.

But that means Adam gets to choose the food most of the time. The meal itself as well as any snacks like popcorn or chocolate.

They both cry during emotional scenes!

Adam is more likely to cry during hopeful speeches of things getting better, Roger is more likely to tear up at death and funeral scenes, and they both cried multiple times when they watched Up together.

It is also very chilly on the other side of the pond 🥶 we thought it was going to be a warmer winter, then February had a lovely surprise

Ahhh yep. Similar story here. Mid-february, the sun was coming out and it was quite warm under direct sun! I really thought spring was early. And then we had 3 days of horrible sleety rain 😡

Maylor reconciling anon here (also same as Lamlor anon)-That was absolutely gorgeous! I honestly loved how Brian initially struggled to get the words out-Apologies can be quite difficult to not only start, but to properly get through! And I just loved seeing Roger’s internal thoughts at not just Brian’s apology, but his pointing out that they had both said hurtful things to one another. How Roger initially felt upset at that before taking a step back and thinking about it. And of course- That gift! Brian listening to the core issue that lay at heart of the bickering. I loved this so much, thank you!
