My dream would be to find a tag on tumblr with book quotes from Poldark series with Dwight and Caroline storyline.

I can’t think of any off the top of my head, the closest I can think of is LegoPoldark, which isn’t quite what you’re looking for, but if you looked through their archive, I know they’ve done the Dwight/Caroline story in Lego form, with supporting quotes from the books. 

I’m posting this publicly, so if anyone else knows of something like you’re looking for they could recommend it.

See even though its a nice passage romantic passage in the book i think its so out of order for her to say that to him, because she does not belive it herself. She has sex with H while still being all in love with R, you wouldnt do that in real life just to make some toff happy, she is being honest but hurting her husband and admiting she fancies someone else, show D was not loved up she was in pain and she just wanted to numb that hurt for a day, prefer show version but needed more dialogue.

Hi nonny -- you are referring to my reblog of @legopoldark‘s latest post with what is, truly, one of my favorite scenes from the entire series. What you’ve written points to the precise reason why the show version of this whole Ross/Demelza/Hugh situation was done  the way it was. There wasn’t enough time to write the intricate reasoning behind Demelza’s decision to have sex with Hugh, despite being so in love and content with Ross. OR, I should say, the writer and producers of the show decided there wasn’t enough time to show the intricacies. It’s why they had to create her discontent e.g. feeling “neglected” or “ignored” or -- as you said --  “not loved up enough” or was still in pain over Ross’s infidelity or whatever the party line was. It’s why her confrontation with Ross re: his meeting with Elizabeth came immediately before she goes back to Nampara and finds Hugh hanging out in the barn and decides to go off with him. 

I hate the whole idea that some have said, that since Ross was unfaithful that Demelza should have a chance at it as well, because it really makes the whole thing very, very tawdry. It makes it all about revenge, makes it MUCH more black and white rather than the grey that exists in all human relationships. If I have learned ANYTHING from this saga it is that each of us lives in a land of grey...

So, we will have to agree to disagree about this...I am quite content with seeing a Demelza who is as riddled with the frailties of humanity as her husband. 

Neither are perfect. 

They are human.

To top my night off got to meet Debbie & present her with her own Lego Ross. Turns out she’s an LP fan too. I never would’ve imagined that what started as a lark would open a whole world to me & all the lovely people I’d meet in the Poldark production and fans. Star struck! 🤩
