I'm down with the HPE DEV crew at HPE Discover this year. Running two hands-on workshops. One focused on Persistent Storage with Kubernetes and the other is around using the NimbleOS REST API for day 2 operations.
Do not miss this opportunity to get your hands on a Nimble Virtual Array for a limited time on your own laptop (requires VMware Workstation/Player/Fusion).
Full abstract for the REST API workshop:
It鈥檚 difficult to avoid using custom automation for your day-to-day operations. This workshop provides guidance on how to do so for HPE Nimble Storage, using REST API tools to quickly get you started. Bring your own laptop with VMware Workstation Player (VMware Fusion for Mac) installed and you鈥檒l get access to your own personal Nimble Virtual Array (a limited but great perk). To participate, basic knowledge of block storage is helpful. Participants should generally understand scripting and manipulating data structures. All levels are welcome.

Full abstract for the Kubernetes workshop:
Learn how to address persistent storage in Kubernetes. We鈥檒l explain the differences between storing data locally versus externally and what workload types in Kubernetes are suitable for persistent storage. An overview of API-related objects, such as StorageClass, PersistentVolumeClaim and PersistentVolume, will be included, along with storage plugins and drivers. A basic understanding of Kubernetes is helpful to follow the examples. We鈥檒l be using HPE Nimble Storage Virtual Arrays to provision the external storage.
