My current Skyrim modding experience, attempting to follow Lexy's LOTD Guide and I've been doing basically nothing but downloading mods:
youtube
"See elves SMIM for the first time, Wow, Mod, Mod, Mod, Mod, Nighttime Convert to BSA, Mod, Mod, Mod, Attacked by twees Delete these specific files in the mod you just downloaded" "Ok, um that's a lot of mods" "I'M NOT A THIRD OF THE WAY THROUGH"
#Nabexis thinks#skyrim#Lexy's LOTD Guide#It's been. THREE DAYS of downloading mods. And I'm only just on part 3 ;A;#tesv skyrim#tes v skyrim#skyrim ae modding#I'm following it best I can but I also have all of AE so like I hope that doesn't screw anything up lol#Also 100% adding Val Serano to this modlist#And maybe getting my preffered texture pack installed as well#Youtube

You know, even if I entirely redo this modlist (because there are a variety I really don't want to play with, a la npc replacers I don't like or survival mode stuff) it was a REALLY good idea for me to follow Lexy's LOTD modding guide because now I know not only how to merge esps but also how to edit things better in xEdit to stop conflicts from happening or what kind of the variety of mod patches and conflict resolutions to look for that I hadn't really been savvy about before. This has definitely helped me learn how to mod my skyrim better.
Not only that, but I'll likely be able to learn DynDOLOD which I've never really figured out before which will make my game feel more immersive and save on resources when it comes to running skyrim.
Hell, I might edit some of my favorite oldrim textures to be more LOD friendly so that's exciting. Now those textures will be able to show up from far away too, instead of whiterun being an entirely different color from far away.
#Nabexis mods Skyrim#really excited for this actually#Ive wanted to get more familiar with making my game run better for a long time#i was getting sick of frequent CTDs even though I know Skyrim can be prone to it#skyrim#tes v skyrim#tes skyrim#also ive used Cathedrals Asset Optimizer WAY more than I have in my entire life#I used to think it was just for bringing oldrim games to SSE but it'll be hella useful for optimizing quite a bit actually

Slowly adding all of the mods following Lexy's Legacy of the Dragonborn guide for the first time. I'm excited to try a lot of mods I haven't before but now Nexus is down and I'm only on part 2 of the download list.
Also while I will try it with the suggested texture pack I know I'm going to miss my usual texture pack (I use the oldrim "sexy whiterun v3" and all the other mods from the same author's textures. The Solitude textures look especially good in LOTD, and it's ALMOST jarring to see it in other people's games because it looks REALLY good in LOTD.) so I might just install those textures instead anyway. Should be easy enough.
#skyrim#tes v skyrim#dunno what to do while nexus mods is down though#I should PROBABLY be playing octopath for my lp channel but ive been taking a bit of a break from it#since basically no one watches it its been a bit discouraging#also i dont have wabbajack which probably wouldve been the smart way to go but im already familiar with MO2 more than Wabbajack#I will need to learn how to do DynDOLOD and Wyrebash properly though. never been successful at those in the past so hopefully#gamerpoets tutorials can get me through it cause otherwise my game is probably not going to be all that stable lol#also noticing a distinct lack of HDTSMP#I love HDT hair so Im REALLY hoping it'll be compatible and not crash my game too hard if I add Dint999 hair to the modlist
