Chapter Summary:

Even broken hearts can still be shattered. Greez deals with the aftermath.

Chapter Start:

Training sabers - even the ones the Inquisitorius use, set to a far higher intensity than the ones Cal vaguely remembers learning with in the creche - aren’t meant to kill. But like any lightweapon - like any weapon at all, really - with enough force (or Force) behind a motion, they can leave a person just as dead as a lightsaber at full strength can. Cal holds Bode at saberpoint, his hand shaking, and knows - Bode is at his mercy, he’s won (if this was even something he could call a fight in the first place), it’d be so, so easy to take the last step, to get his revenge, for Cere’s death and for Cordova’s death and for the Archives in ruins, for the flame and the ash, for all the pain, the blood, the horror, the way he had no other choice but to become this- And he wants, he wants, a fire eating at his chest, the poisonous anger of the dark whispering in a voice like acid that he could, he could, he should, reach out and take your vengeance, Cal Kestis, leave him bleeding and broken on the floor like he left your former master, discard him the way he discarded you- He can’t do it. The saber hilt falls from numb fingers and Cal swallows around the tears he has to get under control (at least for long enough to get back to his apartment, where he can be weak without anyone else realizing it), because- because he doesn’t- He doesn’t want Bode dead.

This story would be fun! they’d be La Resistance to the dark age of the law. now that i put it that way, it’s kind  of similar to the point in the timeline of The Force Awakens.
