it's your God given right to judge everybody but passing judgement onto strangers based on preconceived notions you have about them is probably not effective political practice
#And if talking about something doesn't put any pressure on people to act different then all it is is judgement#And if your judgement doesn't matter then why are you putting it on the internet? Desperate for attention?#Idk it's weird to be upset at people for saying that people maybe don't need to judge others for doing what You want to do#Like. I feel like that is kind of a lukewarm take idk why everything women do needs to be scrutinized for its political merit#Sometimes women are people and not just activists and I think maybe it should be okay for women to internalize feminist#And radical feminist ideas into their lives without rejecting their innate and/or personal human desires in order to be a good feminist#Maybe a woman doesn't have to use (or not use) her body to prove herself a good feminist advocate maybe she can still support and protect#The women in her community even if she is not always looking out for her own 'best' interests and instead does what she wants to do#idk basically I think if you feel uncomfortable with what another woman does with her body you should probably not say that to her#Like idk how telling her you disagree with her choices about her body is actually raising female class conciousness#I think it's just making women avoid you when they want to talk about their issues. Which is fine if that is the goal#But if you don't want to help groups of women that you disagree with then Why are you publicly discussing Their specific issues?#Like if you aren't trying to actively get involved with some people's issues then your opinion is kind of irrelevant and whether or not it#Is a feminist opinion is also irrelevant#that's just the way I see it

yeah… i don’t think i’ll be able to support olivia ever after what happened this last year. i was a sabrina stan before and will continue to be one, i’ve discovered josh’s music and adore his music now and beyond olivia’s music not being my taste, she just showed in the last year an utter disregard for sab and josh and the negative impact on their lives…
sorry i said what i said but i cannot support someone who a) tears down other women b) has such a blatant disregard for the aftermath of her music (not that she shouldn’t talk about what she wants to talk about, but hello damage control???)
Hi, anon! I am so sorry for the late reply, I was preparing my stuff for law school and things got hectic as of late but thank you for this ask! I agree with everything you said and I hope you won't mind me going into a kind of sort of rant in the next few sentences!! LOL
Honestly, I came from having lukewarm feelings about Olivia to just not straight up liking her, just for the way she handled the drama. I am also so tired of how her fans are babying her and saying that whatever she says won’t change anything and I’m like that’s not the point?? The point is to show that she actually fucking cares, which she didn’t show at all  😭😭 Also, even if we go with that argument and disregard "controlling" her fans, what about her friends who posted slutshaming/shady tweets about Sabrina? I heard this from a friend but her dad also apparently liked slutshaming tweets about Sabrina although I am unsure about that one but still, if she couldn't take the time to say anything to her fanbase maybe tell her friends to stop shading Sab and fueling the drama further?
They also bring up Selena's situation where Sel addressed her fans so many times to not send anyone hate and people hate on HB anyway and I'm like but notice how no one is blaming Selena Gomez for it? Because she actually took the time to "control" her fans, at that point, anything her fans do is out of her hands. But Olivia never took that time, not even once. I am not counting that fucking magazine interview because that was honestly so half-assed and performative I pretty much lost my respect for her. I'm sure she's a great singer songwriter or whatever, I'm personally not a fan of driver's license and I didn't bother listening to her other songs so IDK but just the way she handled everything left me uninterested about everything else.
Also, there's this thing Joshua said in a recent interview that artists are in some way too are responsible on how the conversations around their art goes and I remember it being quoted on a tweet and so many livies going wild. Like it's true tho, I think anyone with a platform is in a way responsible to how their audience reacts to the things they put out-- I mean small youtubers can do it so why can't Olivia?
And then there's what Louis said about the fandom being reflective of the artist and I had never fucking agreed more, IDK if it's just me but everything makes so much sense whenever I interact with someone on stan community and find out their fandoms LOL
Anyway, I think what I'm most angry about the drama is that Sab honestly had so many plans for 2021 but she had to take a raincheck because those obsessed weirdos would make it about that fucking drama. Josh too, he had to let the drama die down a bit because people were taking it too far-- I remember that one tweet about him in the hospital and all those livies tweeting he should've been dead. Let's not even talk about the SA and the coming out, at that point, even bigger figures where chiding in that it's impossible to say that Olivia didn't know how blew out of proportion everything was. The internet literally witchhunted Sab and Josh for a solid year (and even now TBH) and she stood there and did absolutely nothing. So yeah, I don't really blame you for not liking or supporting her, I don't really either.
I just hope her fans stops sending me hate anons at this point, the slurs are getting kind of old. Also forgot to add that everything you said just resonated with me so well that's my exact feelings thanks for the vindication op ily xx

Is Penny about to die again? Like how do you stop her self destruct order? I guess they can have her somehow fight off and eliminate Watts’ hacking implements. Or somehow Pietro will become relevant again and save his daughter.
Also what happens to the maiden powers if she dies? Like specifically Penny? Does it take into account her memories as a machine. Will her corrupted half cancel any memories and make them randomly (but convenient for the protagonists) or will her last uncorrupted memories count it goes to Nora or Ruby.
I would hope RWBY didn’t include the “surprise” of bringing her back last volume and give her something as significant as the Maiden powers just to kill her off again. If that were the case, what was the point of bringing Penny back at all? Especially when she and Ruby haven’t had any significant growth, what with Ruby’s lukewarm reaction to her resurrection and Penny asking the exact same “Am I a person?” question from Volume 3. If Penny dies in the next four episodes, we could have accomplished all of this with any other character. Fria leaves with the group and, given her illness, spends just as much time asleep as Penny now has, then Ironwood threatens to nuke Mantle unless she’s handed over. Grab any other women in this cast, make them sympathetic to Team RWBY, and you’ve got the same, bare-bones ultimatum. The only things that would change are Amity tower and Watts’ hack, neither which, frankly, would be missed. Granted, we haven’t yet seen whether Penny’s loss of autonomy will become important, but right now we could tweak all of this without any loss. So Cinder attacks without damaging the tower. Or Pietro does some science-magic to keep it afloat just long enough for Ruby’s message to go out. Ironwood interrogates Qrow instead of letting Watts tinker with Penny’s sword. Everything else  — Maiden accompanies the group, Ace Ops attack to get the Maiden back, Hound goes after the Maiden and knocks her out  — can happen with someone else. Penny has yet to do anything as the Maiden that makes her being the Maiden significant, so I certainly hope that happens once she wakes up again. Regardless, if she dies the power might indeed go to someone like Nora? Provided she’s not thinking of anyone in a corrupted state (in which case the powers would be lost to someone random). But I recall the writers saying once that no one on Team RWBY would be made a Maiden... but they also said Ironwood has used his semblance in the office and that Ozpin’s cane stores time, two of the most recent examples of commentary being proven wrong. So I think we should take any Q&A info with a grain of salt.
At this point, if Penny does survive, my money is actually more on a generic “She overcomes the virus with the power of knowing she’s her own person.” I mean, that’s what they’re pushing so far. Despite being hacked, Penny miraculously holds it off because Nora reminds her that she’s a person. Then Watts says she’s somehow fighting it, the implication being that this shouldn’t be possible. Rather than treating this like the physical blow it is  — the equivalent of breaking one of the character’s legs, an injury/violation that doesn’t go away simply because they want it to  — RWBY seems to be edging towards it representing Penny’s human-ness. If she just wills herself in control then she will be, never mind that another person couldn’t will away a biological virus. It’s not necessary at this point (we’ve spent Penny’s entire time on screen re-emphasizing that yes, she has a soul, we learned and accepted that years ago) and it doesn’t make sense from a realistic, in-world standpoint. I’d much prefer them to remember that Pietro exists and have him fix her, but I have a bad feeling we might get something like Ruby shouting at Penny You’re my friend! You can fight this! and Penny does, shaking off the control to declare (again) that she’s not a machine... even though, physically, she is.
I can’t help but think though that RWBY has boxed itself into a corner. I mean, obviously I don’t believe killing Penny off again is a good idea, but what are they doing to do with her if they don’t? I suppose she could stay behind to help Atlas, keeping her Maiden powers a secret, or using them to help now that the world knows about Salem (still dangerous, but RWBY’s never going to tackle that again), but if she doesn’t, we’ve got a problem. Not only is that another main character to keep track of, Penny has too much power at her disposal. This volume we watched Ruby take out the most powerful grimm they’ve ever seen instantaneously, then we watched Oscar take out the whale, Salem, AND all the grimm instantaneously. We have two characters with one-shot powers that negate any stakes and the one time the show asked, “What happens if Ruby or Oscar can’t help?” the answer wasn’t, “The others find a way to save themselves in a satisfying manner” but rather, “Blake begs Ruby to wake up. She does. Ruby saves her.” We’re already seeing the problems of giving your characters that kind of power and making them The Savior of every scene, so what’s RWBY going to look like if a Maiden permanently joins the team? Nothing outside of Salem herself will be a threat to them and if something is, the audience will be asking why in the world they’re not using the powers at their disposal. Like the fandom throwing up their hands every time Marrow doesn’t use his ‘stop’ semblance when it would be very useful for him to do so, we can’t keep giving our characters this kind of power and then crafting scenes where they just, I don’t know, forget they have them? So either the tension of fights is lost, or the characters end up looking stupid. Or you snag great writers capable of coming up with truly threatening scenarios that impose limitations despite that power (like the Apathy)... but that’s unlikely to be consistent.
Idk. I think at this point I’m team “The kingdom needs help after everything is said and done, so Penny stays behind to provide that, keeping her Maiden powers hidden and, hopefully, safe.” That feels like the less complicated option out of a number of bad possibilities.

Haven't done this in a while but I had the time so why not?
1.- Pizza Girl by Kyoung Jean Frazier
🌟🌟🌟🌟
I really did like it, reminded me a lot of "Convinience store woman". Like clearly our protagonist needed thrapy ASAP to help her deal with her dad's death, her pregnancy, her attraction to women and hell just for existing as an Asian woman in the USA, but I liked how messy and obsesive she was and how the author allowed her to be fucked up and take bad decisions, I love to see female characters simply exist, it's also a pretty short read so I definitely recommend it.
2.-The Authentics by Abdi Nazemian
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Daría is a persian teen who is really involved in her cultural background and feels that the most important thing one can be is authentic, so that's the name she and her friends take for their clique. But everything comes crashing down on her when she discovers she is adopted, and soon follows an identity crisis. I loved it so much, it felt pretty realistic, like Daría could be self absorbed and unlikeable at times, but who wasn't as a teen? And we get such beautiful heartwarming moments between Daría and her family and friends. Totally recommend it.
3.- The Mall by Megan McCafferty
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Cassie has her life completely mapped out but nothing goes quite as planned, first she gets mononucleosis and after she gets better gets dumped and fired almost simultaneously. Determined not to let it get the best of her, Cassie gets a brand new job, reconnects with an old friend and even finds a hidden treasure. This one is so much fun, all the 90s references and the growth Cassie goes through is amazing, honeslty i would love to see this as a Netflix movie.
4.- Luster by Raven Leilani
🌟🌟🌟🌟
This book was hard, Edie is a very raw character, at first she seems flippant even when describing disturbing facts about her past or details about her relationship with a much older man she seems to be talking about something that happened to someone else all this to cope dealing with her solitude, her trauma, her self hate. And gosh it was so intresting to see her interact with Rebecca and Akila, especially Akila as Edie finds kinship in this young girl not only cuz they are both black but because they are both lost and afraid.
5.- Lakewood by Megan Giddings
🌟🌟🌟
Lena decides to participate on a financially compensated medical experiment so her mom can get proper medical care and to lessen their debts after her Grandmother's death.
So I had many mixed feelings about this, on one hand I liked that we are adressing how sistematical racism has permited experiments on black people with no consequences at all and how it has been happening for decades, but there were certain parts of the book that I couldn't enjoy as much because they were very trippy like I get we are on Lena's mind as things are becoming muddled up because of the medications and all those mind games and the words they have her memorize and repeat but all of it took me a bit away from the story. Still I do recommend it just be aware there is quite a bit of body horror in this so if you are sqeamish better skip it.
6.-The Voting Booth - Brandy Colbert
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Marva and Duke meet on election day as she helps him find the precint he is registered on.
This is very enjoyable, the story is very straightforward, and it insists on our right and responsability to vote even if we feel our vote alone can't possibly change all the injustice we see in the world. And also the romance was cute and developed slowly as Marva and Duke are just knowing each other. Really cute and quick read.
7.- Such a fun age - Kiley Reid
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Emira works as a babysitter for the Chamberleins' . She loves her little charge Briar, although she feels preassured to seek a 'real job' by her friends and by her own economic troubles. Emira soon finds herself in the middle of a tug of war between her boss Alix who tries to befriend her, and Kelley the guy she is dating.
So much drama. This is a great example of what performative activism looks like, first Alix is completely nuts, from her obsession to be seen as this wonderful understanding girl boss activist and the down right creepy sense of entitlement to Emira's friendship and intimacy. Like it doesn't surprise me she chose to victimize herself instead of recognizing it had all been a misunderstanding. And even then she still wants to seem atractive to the man she feels victimized by. Girl no.
Kelley is the ultimate fake woke ally. Dude Robbie was wrong period, he had no business inviting people over to someone else's house no matter the color of his skin. You don't get to talk over Emira on matters of what a person of color should do or feel on certain situations. That said it was so funny when he and Alix called each other out for their fetishization of people of color and yet none of them actually gave a damn about what Emira thought/felt/percieved. They just wanted her stamp of approval so they could pat themselves in the back for being such good allies.
8.- The Life and (Medieval) times of Kit Sweetly by Jamie Pacton
🌟🌟
Kit is working as a serving wench at the Castle, medieval themed restaurant run by her uncle, though she really wants to be a Knight, not only cuz the better pay would help around the house but because she really admires Joan of Arc, problem is the Castle management doesn't allow for anyone who is not a cis male to be a knight. Kit is set on changing that.
Ok so I feel a bit lukewarm toward this. Kit in my opinion doesn't get much growth, it seems she just can do whatever and her friends have to be ok w it, her romance w her friend feels pulled out of nowhere like Jett at one point tells her he is not intrested in dating her and then he is ???, those GoT references killed me, I get it I watched the show and sometimes even enjoyed it but it's not representative of anything medieval and Kit was always talking about how much she liked the actual history of the medieval times so...
Also as much as this book was about feminism and how we should fight for equal job oportunities, it feels as though Kit only cared about medieval woman who fought physically and not on the badass medieval woman, like idk it feels as a rejection of tradicional feminity like even the girl playing the Princess is a jerk. But I did like some parts, like her decision to confront her asshole dad to help her mom and the girls training together.
9.-Cien años de soledad de Gabriel Garcia Marquez
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
10.-The Monsters of music by Rebecca F. Kenney
🌟🌟🌟
This is a gender-swaped modern retelling of the Phantom of the Opera.
It was creative to make Mel, our Phantom, a true magical creature, and the singing contest was also cool. Like don't get me wrong I did have fun reading this but it also felt pretty unpolished like most characters were teens on the contest and that kinda made me roll my eyes a bit, like unless it's the Voice Kids age ranges are quite ample on this kind of shows, also kinda clumsy the addition of the magical elements with the modern setting, Kiyo didn't make much of an impression with me even when Christine is my fave on the original book. Still if you are a Phan like me you might wanna check this one out.
11.- Anna K by Jenny Lee
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is a modern americanized ya retelling of Anna Karenina.
Not gonna lie this made me cry so much at the end. I really liked Anna and Vronski together so much, and I don't like the love at first sight trope, but here it felt so inevitable. Anna was so self contained until she met him and could truly explore being herself and they really loved each other so much. Also I liked the treatment of the side characters Kimmie and Dustin were well developed and I really enjoyed this one can't wait to get to the second book.
12.- Wonderland by Zoje Stage
🌟🌟🌟
It was ok, but I was actually a bit disappointed cuz I had such high expectations for it. Like for about half the book I was really into the atmospheric vibe the book pulls you into, but as we get the reveal it started to go down hill for me, and the ending left me feeling meh. But maybe it was just not my cup of tea.
13.-Home Before Dark by Riley Sager
🌟🌟🌟🌟
This book is so well crafted!!! I love how it goes back and forth between past and present , first it feels as if history is repeating itself, then as both narratives unfold we start to question and discovering things and the twist at the end was chillin and masterful, I truly and wholeheartedly recommend it.
14.- The Girl with the louding voice by Abi Daré
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Adunni, a teenage girl, flees from her husband to work as a maid in Lagos, though everything she has ever wanted is to study.
This broke my heart, as it reflects how people coming from rural backgrounds get taken advantage of in the City, like similar things happen here in Mexico, but also it made me glad to see Adunni fight and keep her spirit so no one could ever silence her.
15.- The Year of the Witching by Alexis Henderson
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Immanuel does her very best to fit in Bethel, follow the scriptures and the Prophets words, but nothing seems to be enough to erase her mother's sin especially when the Darkwood seems to pull her in. As a plague starts to ravage Bethel, Immanuel has to face her past to save her people.
So frickin' good !!!! This story is great, mainly about the explotation of woman and young girls by people in power (in this case a church), the atmosphere is always tense, Ezra and Immanuel 's relationship is very well developed and one can really see how loyal they are to each other. A great option for horror fans.

( Chloe Bennet, 25, cisfemale, she/her ) Have you seen ELENA EVER around ? I hear they’re a SINGER AT EDEN/HACKER who can sometimes be HEADSTRONG & RECKLESS. But I also heard they can be COURAGEOUS & COMPASSIONATE if you catch them on a good day. they’re usually hanging around FATES in their spare time. i sure hope they’re alright !
hello hello, claire (she/her, gmt+1) again i know you’re getting bored of me but here’s my third bby and the ‘normal’ one out of the three, though that’s relative too if we’re being honest... anyway if you want this stubborn little thing to plot with her, give this a ❤ and imma come @ you
pinterest page
STATS: ➤  NAME: Elena Ever ➤  AGE: 25 ➤  DOB: 6th of May ➤  BORN: New York City ➤  HEIGHT: 5′5′’ ➤  SIBLINGS: unknown ➤  MBTI: ENFJ ➤  ORIENTATION: bisexual ➤  OCCUPATION: singer at Eden, freelance hacker ➤  EDUCATION: high school education  ➤  TATTOOS: yes, a tattoo that was placed on her by the brothel, she hides it obsessively ➤  SCARS: yes, various ➤  AESTHETICS: leather jackets and combat boots, her phone and a cup of lukewarm coffee always in her hand, a flat full of computers, a raging motorcycle between her legs, leather fingerless gloves, nails painted black, skirts and dark stockings, a laptop in her bag, always going somewhere ➤  VICES: tobacco, alcohol, sex, drugs (before)  ➤  PETS: yes a shiba inu and a hedgehog (idk man)
HISTORY:
➤  She was born a bastard to a mother that didn’t want her and a father that never knew. Her mom was an dancer and a prostitute in New York, a young woman trying to get by to whom the pregnancy happened by accident. Elena grew up among the women who worked at that club, and though her mother was far from thrilled by her - she still cared for her, as did the other women. There were a few kids like her there, but she was hardly aware that a life they were leading was far from ideal.  ➤  During her teen years she started showing interested in computers, and had a mind for coding - able to see things and connections most others didn’t. It was a way to connect to other people of similar interests and she soon found a place where she finally fit in. She started running with that crowd, but it was far from ideal and Elena was desperate to keep her status now that she’d found a place where she was finally seen and respected.  ➤  Out of some rebellious teenage stupidity, Elena ran away when she was barely 16. Though her family situation wasn’t ideal, it was a far cry from what was expecting her out there in the real world. She just didn’t realise that yet.  ➤   As her notoriety grew in the community, people started showing interest. Chief among them being the man running and underground crime business that dealt exclusively with black-hat hacking. Hungry for a place to settle, and a stable community to call her own after 2 years on the run - Elena accepted the proposal. They’d give her a place to stay in the base, all the resources she needed and all she had to do was do as she was told.  ➤  Elena trusted the man, she trusted everyone there and she would soon learn that people are rarely trustworthy, and she’d learn it the hard way. She was young and he enticed her, he was her idol - a notorious hacker in the business, brilliant and fascinating. How could a young girl of 18 not fall for that?  ➤   Betrayal came like a bucket of cold water dumped on her - a field mission gone wrong, the enemy closing in without anyone to get her out. No one even tried. She thought he’d come till the last minute, but as they dragged her away into a dark van, there was no one to be seen, no one to catch her when she fell.  ➤   Turns out the man who took her was a mobster from New York, running an illegal prostitution ring, and so he dragged her back home - but it looked nothing like the way she thought she’d return.  ➤   They broke her spirits there - and don’t get me wrong, she put up hell of a fight. But there’s only so much a human can take, before they’re broken seemingly beyond repair. She became numb, distant - there were places in her mind where she’d go to hide, lines of code she’d go through over and over again until it was done.  ➤   But even then, at her lowest, darkest moments - a spark was enough to light a fire within her. There was a person there - she never learned who they were exactly - but they offered her a chance, a split second to make a decision and run for her life. She got out. So many more didn’t. It would haunt her for the rest of her life.  ➤   Once out, she found her mother again - she was beaten and bruised but still standing. A realisation came to her a few days later - was this all there was? This life? It couldn’t be. She’d been through so much - the world swallowed a girl and spit out a woman - it was about time she took things into her own hands. After all she was free again, and she would never let anyone own her again.  ➤    On a whim, like she does most things, she decided she’d find the person that had offered her a chance at escape, she decided she couldn’t let this rest, she decided she would have to learn to fight so she would never feel so helpless again. So she followed the leads - back to Chicago.  ➤    She knew the bare minimum about this person, only that they were involved with the criminal world of Chicago, the seedy underbelly of the city - but horrible odds never stopped her, so why would they now?  ➤    She settled in Chicago, finding work at Eden as a singer - it was a small win for her, to take this part of her and piece it together. It reminded her of what was done to her, but it also reminded her that she was her own woman now, and no one was controlling her. On the side she still works as a hacker, but a freelance one - not involved with any syndicate and making sure she’s covering her tracks so they wouldn’t find her again.
PERSONALITY:  +  courageous, compassionate, kind, determined, clever
-  stubborn, reckless, impulsive, addictive, idealistic
HEADCANONS:
➤   She owns a tiny apartment, but it’s enough for her needs. She doesn’t want to get greedy and expose herself too much just to get some more money. What she earns she spends mostly on her hacking equipment - it’s basically her baby.  ➤   She spends a lot of time on her laptop at the Fates, downing coffee after coffee until her heart is in a wild tachycardia (it’s not healthy and she knows it). She likes being around people instead of just always locked at her apartment.  ➤    Singing is a thing she has loved since she was a kid, it lets her get lost in the melody and the words, it’s almost like she’s someone else. This is why she’s working at Eden - it lets her couple work with something she loves, and it also allows her to face the fears from the past. After all you cannot always be strong, but you can be brave.  ➤    She loves movies, especially the old kind - they’re idyllic, a much-needed escape from reality. So if she likes you don’t be surprised if she drags you to her place or the cinema to watch something.  ➤    She absolutely adores her motorcycle and takes it everywhere, claiming it’s simply a more practical way of transport than a car is. Truth is, she just likes the thrill of it - the way she’s dancing with death when she’s speeding down the street.  ➤   That’s another thing about her - she’s a reckless creature. She likes the danger, the thrill, and she’s always the first to jump into trouble if it means protecting someone. She’s big on being on the side of the underdog, and regardless of the situation, she just can’t let things slide even if it means getting her ass kicked in the process. It wouldn’t be the first time.  ➤    She struggles a lot with ptsd and survivor guilt, but has never had enough sense to get some help. It’s mostly because she feels like she’s alone in the world and there’s never anyone to stand up for her - so she can do it on her own, she has to.  ➤    She has like 20 leather jackets, a good 80% of her closet is just leather jackets. It’s unhealthy. And also combat boots and heeled combat boots, there’s just nothing in between except when she’s working and she has to dress appropriately.  ➤    Her cigarettes of choice are Lucky Strike, and she has an old beaten-up zippo that a friend once gave it to her (the same one whose criminal syndicate she’d been working for). She hates him, yet she still keeps the lighter, a creature of habit.  ➤    She’s an energetic person, always hell-bent on helping people (maybe because she feels no one ever held a hand out to her) so it’s not weird for her to approach people if she senses they’re not in a good place. She’ll talk to them, or offer them a cigarette or drag them out to have some drinks, but whatever it is she will be there.  ➤    There is a tattoo on her forearm that she obsessively covers and hides with sleeves and arm pieces, it’s back from her days of prostitution when they marked her as theirs. She hates it but lets it stay there as a reminder never to give up her own agency like that again. She also has some scars and burn marks from that time but they don’t bother her as much though she hides them too.  ➤    She can be seen taking self-defence classes and going to the shooting range to practice. It offers her peace of mind and some semblance of a hold on her sanity - a thought that she could defend her self (badly though probably) if something were to happen. ➤   She WILL try to befrend you count on it. Also I’ll come up with more random hcs I just wanted to give her an introduction :)  wanted connections: i’m currently making a wanted connections page for her but honestly everything and anything is welcome!!! like she could’ve been a runaway kid with your charrie or smth (i would LOVE those connections), maybe people who were also in the syndicate with her? or people who were abused like her and managed to get away? also she’s sneaking around looking for clues about gangs and although she’s just trying to reach out to say thank you and all that jazz, it looks suspicious (she never thought of it that way cause ya know... the girls a genius for hacking but can be clueless), also fwb she has a thing for that because she has trust issues etc. but also likes to have fun, and friends just in general she needs her squad  for more specific ones i’m gonna post like a wanted connection, like that guy from syndicate who left her behind, and also someone involved with gangs (doesn’t matter in which way) who helped her escape (i left that purposefully vague af)  SO basically ALL of it??

You saw NICK BRAUN in London recently? It was actually FRANK LONGBOTTOM, the two share a resemblance. Apparently HE is CURIOUS and KIND but can also be NAIVE and AWKWARD. They are TWENTY-THREE and were sorted into HUFFLEPUFF. The PUREBLOOD works as a CHEF-IN-TRAINING FOR THE LEAKY CAULDRON, lives in LONDON and is affiliated with NEITHER SIDE. (pat, 21+, pst, she/her).
rising croissants, flour-covered hands, wide bowls of dough, carefully iced cakes, caramelized sugar on a crème brûlée cracked by a small silver spoon, golden brown perfectly baked pastries
Full Name: Frank Seamus Longbottom – It’s a tradition to carry the name of a beloved who has passed and he was named after his grandfather, the famed Auror. The name Frank has been passed down several generations, and Frank Seamus is actually Frank Longbottom VI, but the regnal number isn’t that important… unless you’re Augusta. But Augusta didn’t have to do much to sell Neville on the name. As for his middle name, Seamus and Dean played a clean game of rock, paper, scissors; Neville can be seen teasing Harry and Ginny for taking the idea and naming Lily Luna after a family friend.
FC: Nick Braun
Age: 23
School: Hogwarts
House: Hufflepuff – Frank wasn’t disappointed; his mother Hannah Abbott was a proud Hufflepuff and he knew how to get into the kitchens before he was even on the train to Hogwarts. Of course, Cedric Diggory was one of the most famed Hufflepuffs in recent history, so his legacy left an imprint on Frank.
Country of Origin: United Kingdom
Current Place of Residence: Leaky Cauldron, London. Because the Leaky Cauldron is the gate between magical and muggle worlds, Frank has been exposed to all sorts of new and interesting ideas growing up. He’s living (rent free) in the Leaky Cauldron since having to move back in with his mother. It’s not quite like living with them, but he does act a little ungrateful about it.
Please list any canon relatives:
Father: Neville Longbottom
Mother: Hannah Abbott
Grandparents: Frank and Alice Longbottom, both at St. Mungo’s
Great-grandmother: Augusta Longbottom – because someone has to keep up Longbottom Estate, and that hat collection has to live somewhere
Career:
Current: Frank’s definitely figured out what he wants to do already, he knows what he’s good at and what he’s passionate about. His potions marks are much better than his father’s and he’s built an arsenal of knowledge regarding the food industry and Herbology because of how he grew up. But Frank has wandered for a few years trying to live on his own and seeing how successful he could be without anyone’s help. Originally, Frank had lived in Hogsmeade and worked for Madame Puddifoot’s Tea Shop—so having to go back to living with his mother kind of feels like giving up.
Next steps: He doesn’t think of himself as a chef, but he would love to be one someday. He learned to make much more highbrow meals since his time out of school and he’ll do his own twists on them upon request. Call it the Leaky Cauldron’s  secret menu; just ask for Frankie’s special that day.
Eventual: Frank thinks Hannah wants him to take over the Leaky Cauldron someday, so he’s certainly got mixed feelings about being in that sort of leadership position. What his mom does sounds so boring; it’s all numbers and paperwork and having to deal with the customer whose chicken was too dry. Let’s be real, Frank doesn’t want to manage—he wants to invent! Of course, it’s his dream to be in charge of his own restaurant someday; I can see him stepping up to be more responsible in the future (or finally getting the guts to really move on), but for now he’s young and he’s happy—let him play around before he has to properly grow up!
Affiliation: (subject to change after discussion with relevant players) Frank is neutral. However…
Dumbledore’s what now? He may have been close with the Potter-Weasleys growing up (which will need to be discussed, especially with Alice and James), but having been sorted in Hufflepuff and off doing his own thing for a while in Hogsmeade, I can see him being generally out of the loop as far as Dumbledore’s Army. Maybe his sister will get him to join or one of the members makes a recommendation to James!
A possible target? As someone who’s purposely trying to mingle anything muggle to the magical community—even something out of a cookbook—definitely puts him in danger he’s probably not even aware of. And Neville has worked hard to make sure that his kids live in a world where they don’t have to worry about this. However, Frank can be rather lackadaisical as far as his own safety, not because he’s a risk-taker so much as he’s thoughtless with his actions.
Significant Other: Frank wishes he had a significant other; it does get lonely sometimes since it feels like everyone his age is either hooking up or getting married—hell, his sister even has kids! Frank’s not desperate or anything and he’s not the one to say that no one gets him, but it would be nice to make a connection that isn’t just a customer over the counter.
Sexuality: Frank thinks he’s a little of everything—he’s definitely pansexual, but he doesn’t like labels. He’s not a hopeless romantic, but he’s crushed a little on everyone at some point. He’s got a relatively steady history of dating and he takes breakups real hard. But he definitely knows how to take care of his partners in ways that aren’t just baking them morning croissants.
Any HC’s: l mean… here’s what I got… idk if these count and these will have to be updated as the game progresses!
Grind – to process solids by hand or mechanically to reduce them to tiny particles. Frank wasn’t sure when he started working at the Leaky Cauldron. Sure, Hannah and Neville had a small house elsewhere—but taking over ownership of the Leaky Cauldron meant that every day was ‘take your kid’ to work day. And it wasn’t like the wizarding world knew what child labor laws were.
Steep – to extract color, flavor, or other qualities from a substance by leaving it in water just below the boiling point. Frank was lucky that Neville had his own greenhouse; he had an early exposure to Herbology and received top marks in school. This slight advantage helped him in Potions, though Neville calls his son fortunate to not have learned potions under Severus Snape. And Frank learned all of the Leaky Cauldron’s classic recipes the longer he worked there; some of them were from Hannah but many were from previous chefs who didn’t mind that Frank was there—he was much less of a bother than his sister.
Lukewarm – neither cool nor warm; approximately body temperature. Neville and Hannah taught Frank to be nice to his sister, but sometimes he had better things to do, like exploring every nook and cranny of Diagon Alley. But it had become a bit of an issue when his sister could get her way with a bat of an eyelash. He’s not resentful of his sister so much as he’s not one of those people she can take advantage of.
Skim – to remove fat or foam from the surface of a liquid. The Leaky Cauldron has a broom closet with an extension charm on it, which functions as a room for Lost and Found. Usually when Frank was forced to clean for closing, he had to turn in whatever was left behind by the patrons; he wasn’t ever allowed to keep any of it and he was always required to handle everything with dragon hide gloves—who knows what kind of cursed objects people drop! But mostly what he found were muggle items—odds and ends that he asked patrons about when it wasn’t busy, especially those were much more attuned to the muggle world.
Flambe – to flame foods by dousing in some form of potable alcohol and setting alight. One object left behind that Frank never forgot about was a muggle cookbook. He had learned from watching and listening, but not out of a book. There wasn’t any wand waving involved, no incantations that Frank had to try to remember—rather, just instructions and words that no one was familiar with. Sure, it made it into the Lost and Found, but that didn’t mean Frank couldn’t borrow it like a library book to try to decipher it.
Mince – to cut or chop food into extremely small pieces. There was a significant unlearning of gender inequity involved coming to Hogwarts—the attitude that his parents never meant to teach him, but he learned anyway from how his sister was treated. Frank didn’t distrust women nor did he think of them as inherently lesser—but he was quick to box people into gender stereotypes until someone finally called him out on it. And continued to call him out on it. Understanding why certain jokes were sexist and why that was wrong was a difficult path, but Frank was willing to listen. He didn’t want to make someone feel bad and it wasn’t their fault for being offended. Even now he feels like he’s being hyperaware of what he’s saying, but he tries his best.
Grill – to cook on a grill over intense heat. With his high marks in Herbology and Potions, Frank could have been a healer. Instead those skills were used to bounce from café to café along Hogsmeade, never quite deciding where to work until Madam Puddifoot wanted to expand her menu. He had some creativity there, but the reality was that Frank couldn’t afford to live on his own with what the tea shop was willing to pay him; he had a hard decision to make between his dream job or his financial security, which was eventually made for him once the eviction notice was posted at his door.
Blend – to incorporate two or more ingredients thoroughly. Even if he is a little bitter about moving back with his Frank takes advantage of being part of the family business: he’s able to experiment with new menu items and recipes he tries from muggle cookbooks, with a full kitchen at his disposal—even if it’s during afterhours. Of course, there’s a bit of a learning curve going from muggle processes to magical means (what the hell does preheat to 200° mean?) but Frank knows what’s good and what isn’t. He’s not afraid to give a muggle twist on magical favorites (or vice versa).  He doesn’t announce his creations or anything (after all, he’s just an amateur!) but it does give him pride when someone pays attention to him talking about it and actually asks to try something he’s created.
Glaze – to cover with a thin, glossy icing. A part of him wants to give the Leaky Cauldron a bit of a culinary makeover; most of the classics, in his opinion, are old and tired. But he’s stuck—perhaps Frankie’s special is the best way to do that, especially since Hannah doesn’t know about this secret menu. Not that she wouldn’t be supportive, but she’s the type to stick with something tried, true, and traditional that Frank just wouldn’t want to go through the trouble of convincing her that the restaurant has needed an update since the 1800s. Besides, he dreams of owning his own restaurant, but he can’t quite imagine himself running the Leaky Cauldron—proposing a change like this would really nail the coffin closed.

anime review: boku no hero academia
not gunna lie.. i shit talked the Hell out of my hero. like sooo much shit. i claimed it wasn’t worth the hype that it was lame, bad plot, etc. all b4 actually watching it like a dumbass. oh , how Wrong i was. my hero for anyone new or old to anime is well known and is very big especially for the incredible character design. my hero gets alot of hype and i do thinks its for a reason. shonen anime is probably the most popular and is where the most popular franchises are born aka naruto, one piece, and dbz. and my hero is at the front running for being this generations leader in shonen. although this is not an anime that i cant find faults in , i can find quite a few but this is one of my favorite animes and is definitely worth the watch, now lets get into it.
this shonen like many is about the underdog who can! when 80% of the population has some sort of super human ability known as a quirk izuku midoriya is in minority 20% of people in superhuman society that do not have a quirk. and with the birth of the superhuman powers came the rise of a new profession, heroism. in which people with quirks get licenses to use them to save people. it’s sorta like how kids now wanna be youtubers well thats what being a hero is in this anime. of course midoriya wants to be a hero just like his idol All Might the #1 hero and pillar of peace.
in order to do that he must get into the top hero school in Japan, U.A Academy. with an acceptance rate of less then 2% (or 0.2% i genuinely cannot remember lol) . midoriya is the classic meek bullied kid being pushed around by childhood friends kaksuki bakugou who is loud, angry, and LOUD, and also wants to be a hero. his quirk is explosions that he creates from his palms with his nitroglycerin like sweat.
one day midoriya gets to meet his idol and the series kicks off. midoriyas journey in getting into U.A, viallian attacks, sports festivals., interships, training camps and more!
now midoriya as a main character grew on me. truth me told the first 5 episodes of my hero are Painful to get through, they made me cringe and midoriya cries about 5 times in one 20 minute episode which is exhausting. personally my favorite type of shonen anime protagonist are himbos , aka dumb sunshines. midoriya is not this he’s actually incrediblely smart but he’s so meek it’s annoying and for a while I thought he was the worst choice for protagonist especially with how amazing the side characters are, but he grows on you and it makes sense why he is the way he is and his character development is good. he grows much more confident and sure of himself. he has that naruto talk-no-jutsu vibe about him lol. but overall he’s good, not my favorite character by anymeans in fact i doubt he’d be in my top 5 in this series.
NOW FOR THE BEST PART ABOUT MY HERO; SIDE CHARACTERS (now i am only a mortal so i will only be talking about characters that stand out and add something to the show aka invisible girl is not mentioned neither is tail boy)
bakugou!!!! listen, he is a piece of work. and honestly it took me till season 2 to actually like and enjoy his character. he’s defently different from the normal angry anime boy because he has Zero reason to be angry which sorta adds to the comedy of the show. hes weathly, has two good parents, hes liked and popular despite being somewhat nasty, and he has a cool ass quirk along with being a prodigy at basically everything. his inferiority complex is what he battles the entire show I do feel like his character development was a little too slow, they could moved it along a little bit and not held onto how angry he was for absolutely no reason but again it kind of adds to the charm his character. his design is so beautiful the blonde hair the red eyes he’s great and hes my second fave character. his anger is toward mostly midoriya toward most people hes just loud but he really has a problem with midoriya. a problem he lowkey made up in his head but overall bakugou is a strong character and a different type of hero, he’s the opposite of all might in everyway.
TODOROKI!!!!!! if you dont know who todoroki is and you somewhat watch anime or see anime content on your social media, you are lying. his character design is super well known and is honestly beautiful he’s literally breath taking. speaking of character design let’s leave the Zuko versus Todoroki discord somewhere else I just don’t care let’s leave it alone they both have scars and daddy issues big whoop! they would literally be bffs move on. now that thats out of the way, todoroki is phenomenal, he’s the more silent type but not tsundere at all. we dont see alot of him in season 1 but mainly in season 2, he’s the son of the #2 hero endeavor who despite being a hero is human garbage! his quirk is half cold half hot. essentially he has two quirks one creating ice from the right side of his body and create flames from his left (the coolest and most versatile quirk in the series) his hatred towards his father makes him unwilling to use his fire side. but he gets over it! todoroki i feel definitely got snubbed , i feel like the dimmed him down because of how easily he could overshadow midoriya and honestly my hero could have easily been about todoroki and his journey discovering what kind of hero he wants to be thats how good he is. I cried 4 times during his battle with midoriya. i love todoroki and he is my fave character of the series.
Kirishima!!!!!! his quirk his hardening, he makes his whole body rock hard. i adore kirishima hes is so wonderful as a side character. we really see him shine in s4 during his work study and i love that especially since he was often pushed to the side. he’s also the first person bakugou acknowledes as an equal and friend. his backstory and motivation is really touching and his character design is so fun !! i love sharp teeth boi’s!!!!! and also i dont know they made him so obsessed with being chivalrous and manly but not a misogynist that is like so hard to do and they did it so well. and the fact that his motivation to keep going is a woman and someone who he respects was also so cool. also his hero custome is so cool. he said full chest out !!
mineta, now this is a character that literally everyone hates and granted he’s not my favorite character not even close but I don’t think he’s that bad. He’s the classic pervert classic girl obsessed character. His quirk is literally detaching sticky balls from his head he’s gross but I don’t mind him like all he does is talk like they have an anime character is a straight up harass women which he does sometimes but I don’t know I just don’t get why hes so hated when there are tons of similar character types like him that are worse that don’t get that much hate like I’m not defending him he’s gross but it’s not terrible and he provides comedic relief which is not always funny but it’s there
kaminari! cute shock boy! hes a more digestible and attractive version of mineta, slightly girl crazy but hes fun! hes also friends with bakugou and his quirk electricity but if he over uses it he gives himself brain damage and turns dumb. again hes more often then not pushed aside but hes funny and his personality is awesome and bright.
Iida, someone im kinda lukewarm about? he’s definitely a major side character and gets his own huge moments and out of all the side characters gets alot of screen time. his quirk is engine legs that make him super fast. hes a stick up his ass class rep but he’s nice and way more likeable after the first few episodes
ochaco.....um. shes ok ig, her quirk is making these float. has a crush on midoriya which is fine even though she looks his she could be his cousin dndjd. idk i dont love her type of preppy i wanna be like my crush character type, hinata does it better. but shes ok again lukewarm about her, i definitely like some of the other female characters better but shes not awful. again most shonen animes use female characters as prop to further the male protagonist character along. idk i jus dont like her personality.
froppy!!!! tsu!!! i adore you ! would d word for you!!! i love her so much shes such a cool character and she doesn’t fit into a box in terms of character type. her quirk is frog meaning she can do everything a frog can do. she’s so level headed and smart and witty she really adds something everytime she comes on. she’s just so chill i really appreciate that.
jiro!!! wonderfully talented queen! her quirk is earphone jack! shes just so again chilled and laid back but also super smart and perceptive. sorta tomboyish which is really cool 2 see a different look for a female character.
yayorozu!!!!! my favorite female characters of the show. her quirk is creation, she makes anything she wants as long as she knows the structure. its dope af. shes so smart and responsible and has an awesome sense of self improvement. i do believe in eating the rich but i still love her. shes a natural leader which i love to see and i think she should have been class rep but as always, men have to be in postions of power ...
tetsutetsu!!!!! the only person in class b with rights. hes kind of like kirishimas counter part, he also has a hardening quirk which makes his body into steele. hes jus so Funny and loud and i wish he was in class 1 a he’d be so good. he brings alot of energy and his fight with kirishima was so fun to watch.
miro, again. someone i shit talked b4 seeing what they were about. i honestly thought miro was going to have some evil agenda against my midoriya but he didn’t he was so good so bright his quirk is so cool it’s permeation meaning he can like walk through walls and stuff he’s so cool!!
tamaki!!!!!!!!! I ADORE HIM! SO MUCH!! hes so shy and insecure but wtf so badass with an amazing quirk called manifest meaning he can manifest on his body the different types of food he eats like he eats octopus he gets tentacle arms which means he basically has like an unlimited number of quirks??!! so dope and his character design is so sexy hes my bf
shinso, now his design is very good he reminds me alot of aizawa, and his quirk is insane and i dont know how people like invisible girl, tail guy, fucking mineta got into the hero course but someone like shinso with a brainwashing quirk didn’t, all someone has to do is answer his question and their under his control, literally so useful. he’s a really hyped up character which I find interesting because in the anime manga people don’t come for me he isn’t really showcased which is really annoying because he’s cool and I get what the hype is about but I just wish we saw more of him I think there is in the actual manga but in the anime he makes like two appearances??
AIZAWA!!! hes so ,, hot, idc him a bun forget it.. im .. his quirk... SO DOPE I MEAN TO BE ABLE TO ERASE SOMEONE QUIRK,,? dope af, his tsundere with more dere then anything hes so sweet and genuinely loves his class So Much, they are his babies. his character is super genuine and its so fun to see him and someone like all might working along side eachother just because they are such different people. aizawa is definitely my third favorite character
all might!!! the big man himself! honestly all might is what superman wishes he was, he is just so Nice and caring and just wants to help people thats all he wants to do, hes the only person deemed worthy by stain. he plays such a huge role in the series in a way a mentor/idol really never has 4 me. i love his other version as well its so well designed to be such a contrast to his muscle form.
stain, the best villain on the show, most complex and truly thought provoking and just all in all they did such a good job with his character design and his motives the stain arc was my favorite in terms of villains because my hero really kind of lacks in villians and sure the league does get better but stain has the most like convincing argument and morals like the concept that he wants to purge the fake heroes of the society away is just fascinating because society in the series so overpopulated with heros and just ugh such a good villain and his quirk,, crazy being to paralyze people by tasting their blood wild
dabi!!! aka todorokis brother (thats not a spoiler jus a fan theory that i wholeheartedly believe) his quirk is cremation which he basically has such hot fire that it jus turns everything to ash. aka his character design being him with burns, his body most likely can’t fully handle his quirk. hes so hot ugh literally come on emo boy! but really hes a cool villain and works for the League. I wish we saw more of him which I know in season 4 like toward the end he makes a pretty big appearance but after training camp we don’t see him as much as I wish we did and he’s super famous hyped up character again because his design is so dope. he’d be a good anti hero.
shigaraki!!! he’s actually my fourth favorite character.... you guys ever have that one character that one think most likely thinks is hot, but you do. YES HES CRUSTY BUT STILL SEXY GAMER. if i could just give him a skincare routine...His character is one that got probably the most development I mean we see this bratty childish kind of loser in season one in in season for a re-really see a masterminded plan from him and something truly thought out because I feel like a lot of his plans aren’t thought through and this is one of the first ones that I see truly come to fruition the way he wanted to. I really appreciate that from a villain who can grow because he wasn’t a very convincing villian and he had no motivation to do what he was doing and just seem like a dumb kid but like now after watching him grow he’s really coming into his own and for season five I want to see him continue that growth he’s having.
OK IM SO SORRY THE SIDE CHARACTERS TOOK 80 YEARS THERE ARE SO MANY
now onto my critiques these are MY opinions which literally don’t matter the author/artist is incredible and knows what they’re doing and they don’t have to cater to what I want at all this is just how I thought while watching the anime.
I feel like midoriya is a character that can’t really shine on his. I feel like side characters need to be pushed down and snubbed for him to look cool. and in general I just feel like because of the personality that he has as a main character he kind of struggles to shine unless they dim the light of the other characters because especially in season four midoriya is just constantly pushed and pushed as this end all be all if feels which OK he’s the main character but like was it realistic for some of the things that happen in season four to happen I don’t wanna spoil but if you watched it you know like who defeated who and so on. at least to me sometimes it’s really obvious that they’re pushing for you to have that midoriya is so cool reaction which just seems forced.
I mention this in some of the side character villains but my hero really doesn’t have like super compelling villains with proper reasoning to what they’re doing or maybe we just haven’t seen that yet in the anime but for me the only good villain the whole series was stain. sure the league of villains gets better but they’re seen as a joke for most of the series at least to me like I didn’t really take them seriously just them minus all for one. I feel like they have these major villains but only see them once especially with all for one we saw him once and then if you watch the my hero movie he’s like there for 2.2 seconds as a major plot point but him physically as a villain but I see him once in action and even so I still think stain is a better villain and notice how I’m not mentioning overhaul in this conversation. there was just something beyond villainious about overhaul especially the child abuse. and again he’s someone who was spoiler alert defeated and in one shot kind of way it only took half the season and if you compare him and his organization to the league their miles ahead of the League so why did they get defeated first it just kind of didn’t make sense to me.
I was sort of annoyed when the big three got introduced for my side character analysis I praised two out of the three of them and I love the third member she is incredible and a bad ass I just couldn’t write any more about side characters or else this will never end but did we need the introduction of more students when there are so many in class 1a themselves that just don’t get the light of day especially in season four with Todoroki and Bakugou being absent for most of it.
endeavor doesn’t deserve redemption arc that’s what they’re setting up for now i don’t want it he’s gross he’s a domestic abuser he’s a child beater he’s a child neglecter. he’s gross and I don’t understand how this hasn’t been exposed to the public about how the number one hero beat his wife and kids how we just not know that.
I mentioned this with bakugous character review but I feel like his development was just so agonizingly slow for no reason because it wasn’t this deep-rooted issue it was something he misinterpreted and created this fake narrative in his head about midoriya. and even after they have that big fight and acknowledge each other I feel like there’s still something missing which bothers me because there is no reason one it should’ve taken four seasons when Todoroki‘s deep-rooted issues were solved in a couple episodes basically.
I feel like the series attempted to add romance and then gave up which I think was a smart move just because at the moment there isn’t really a place for it and this is coming from someone who adores romance in anime and I thrive off it but in my hero specifically especially the way they were going to do it with Ocacho was just not it and I really hope they don’t reduce her character even more to just pining over the male protagonist because I’ll be sad because even though I’m not crazy for her I still think she’s a solid character who I don’t want to become just a propeller for character development for the sake of the male protagonist.
things i love!!
the animation is beautiful, it’s so unique and different and just feels really fresh. you can clearly see the movements and can we talk about how well they draw hands? got tier anime hands.
the fighting was the Best ive ever seen in terms of timing, most shonen animes can drag on battles for many many episodes especially dbz, it honestly feels tiring and i love the my hero has the Perfect length to i get all the action and never feel bored or over it. I also enjoy that the anime wasn’t super fillery, and when there was it wasn’t that noticeable that it wasn’t canon.
how everyone is friends really makes me happy especially to see midoriya be so loved and respected by his peers, and everyone views him as an inspiration. to know he was bullied and hated by his class in middle school to in high school having everyone love him enough to make him class rep at first. which I am so glad he stepped down from because it was lowkey cringe that he won djdj.
how rivalry is done is nice because its not a huge major thing, sure everyone is competitive but its friendly and motivating. its not cutthroat.
the dub is really good, ik people shit on dub which is fair. but sometimes the dub hits and there are moments when you wanna watch anime but you have stuff to do so you can’t solely focus on the screen. personally i don’t know why but i had a hard time getting into my hero with sub and had to watch it dub. but if you do like dubbed anime then the my hero dub is solid im sure certain things are said cooler in the sub than dub (aka hqs “dont let me down fellas alright?” jdjdxjxj) but it is a funimation dub which are almost always decent.
the structure of society and the information we get told about heros and the job are soo well done. I feel like I really understand the setting which in fanatasy animes can be somewhat difficult, and everything makes sense and is really normal. they do such a good job making being a hero a normal thing, especially since heroism especially in the western comics is viewed as this big deal that not everyone can do while in my hero its the opposite. i love that.
midoriyas not give up attitude is really endearing, sure most shonen protagonist have this but especially with midoriya being the Biggest underdog to the point where he ruins his body over and over again and still keeps moving. a moments i genuinely loved midoriyas character and fell for him completely was during training camp, when he fight smuscular and still keeps moving despite being Ruined. it’s my favorite right after stains.
i love seeing them train! ik the actual villains are exciting but things like training camp and the creating special moves moment were my favorite.
-
Overall;
i love my hero, it’s quickly made its way to my favorite animes of all time, the characters, plot, and motivations are so good. it’s an anime that makes me feel like I can do anything i set my mind to. I enjoy the fact that it’s an anime that like I feel like there can be a discussion and not one over about whether it’s good or bad because it’s definitely good but more in how things are done the reason things were done how things could’ve been done differently there’s a lot to talk about and I feel like this is a very unique thing because I think with a lot of anime everything is so set in stone and if things were done a different way and it wouldn’t work with my hero there are so many ways things would go which I love. and I also love that there are things that I don’t like about it or that I’m not crazy about and for some reason that makes me like it even more because I feel like again back to the discussion point there’s so much to talk about especially on like Reddit where you can see what other people think and if you’re wrong if you’re right it doesn’t really matter because I think today this is just anime! give it a watch if you are curious you wont regret it!
