The Linear Bush is a linear guide used in combination with a LM shaft that has a cylindrical shaft. This product makes linear movements with a minimum of frictional resistance to provide highly accurate and supple movement.
A linear-motion bearing or linear slide is a bearing designed to provide free motion in one direction. There are many different types of linear motion bearings. Motorized linear slides such as machine slides, X-Y tables, roller tables and some dovetail slides are bearings moved by drive mechanisms.
A bearing or bushing can be used for linear or rotational motion. While most bearings and bushings are designed for only one type of motion, there are some parts that can combine both.
There isn't really a difference: a bushing is a type of bearing. In general, a “bearing” facilitates movement between two parts while reducing friction. Simple in design, the typical bearing has two surfaces that roll over each other, enabling two mating components to move friction-lessly
Linear bearings are used in 3D printers, sliding doors, and several automated applications where guiding rail motion is required. A linear bearing is a critical component of a linear guide assembly.
Linear bushings consist of load-bearing plates, a ball retainer, steel balls, end caps or rings, and seals. External loads are transferred from the load plates (analogous to the outer race of a radial bearing), through the steel balls, and to the shaft (analogous to the inner race of a radial bearing).

It replaces the tapered auger tooling used on most fully convoluted hose. The tool is available in sizes -6 through -20. For more information call (562) 861-4765 or visit www.xrp.com
JOES Racing Products—The JOES Matador Wheel
The JOES Matador Wheel is new, stronger version of the lightweight wheel. It starts with JOES flat wheel center machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a 1 1/4-inch diameter grip. The wheel comes in 15-, 16-, and 17-inch sizes. For more information call (877) 267-1525 or visit www.joesracing.com
Eliminate Difficult Adjustments
The Eliminator Hub assembly from Winters is an adjustable hub assembly for a conventional wide five tube and spindle. It allows you to adjust your wheel in and out using spacers. For more information call (717) 764-9844 or visit www.wintersperformance.com
A Dual-Threat Spring
Hypercoil’s dual-rate ultra-high-travel 14B0200/425UHT (a 14-inch free-length spring with 2 1/2 inch end IDs and a dual rate of 200lb/in, transitioning to a secondary rate of 425lb/in), quickly found favor on the right front (as well as other locations) of Dirt Late Models in series where spring stacking has been outlawed. This spring features an extremely linear 200lb/in rate through the first 3.125 inch deflection (approximately 625lb of spring load) at which time the rate transitions to the 425lb.in rate through a transition range of 3/4 inch to 1 inch. Rate transition is completed by the time the spring load rises to 800 to 825lb, and is fairly linear until coil-bind. Hypercoil has additional variations of the springs to accommodate different sizes and rates. For more information call (800) 365-2645 or visit www.hypercoils.com
A Quick and Easy Way to Disconnect
Many racing sanctions have generated safety rules to make sure a race car’s electrical power system can be shut off completely. Moroso’s Four-Pole switch simplifies the task of making a master disconnect. It is used to disconnect both the battery and alternator feed simultaneously without need for relays. The switch can be mounted in the same location as traditional on/off switches with the security of being able to interrupt the alternator circuit. Plus it includes a switch position decal and location decal for the exterior of the car. For more information call (203) 453-6571 or visit www.moroso.com
Wehrs Getting Tricky
The buzzwords around Wehrs Machine are “billet trickery.” With innovative products, Wehrs continues to feed the weekly racer’s appetite. New to Wehrs is this clamp-on screw jack mount for a 1-inch coarse screw jack. It mounts to 1 3/4-inch or 1 1/2-inch round tube. For more information call (877) 460-7211 or visit www.wehrsmachine.com
A Sweet Approach to Steering
These Sweet 700 Series Sportsman power-steering boxes, which are IMCA approved for Modifieds and Northern Sport Mods, have new quick ratio gear sets in them which significantly speeds up the steering. This steering box features new inner working components with a re-manufactured housing. The box has -6 AN hose fittings and a 13/16-inch 36-spline input. When using a steering quickener, Sweet recommends using a .185 valve steering box. Anything higher will be extremely hard to steer! For more information call (269) 344-2086 or visit www.sweetmfg.biz
Keeping Cool Under Pressure
The CoolShirt Club Bag is designed for the weight-conscious racer who wants a cooling solution without having to permanently mount the system in the car. It is designed to use two of CoolShirt’s ice bottles. The Club Bag can be powered by a 7.4V lithium ion battery or wired into the car. The system will allow for approximately two hours of cooling. For more information call (800) 345-3176 or visit www.coolshirt.com
Riding on Air
This lightweight, all aluminum design from Coleman eliminates the coil-over springs. It features a progressive rate compression design. To increase or decrease rate, simply adjust the volume of the air reservoir by adjusting the rate adjusting screw in the remote reservoir. The air bump spring makes adjusting the bump rate and height simple and quick. No more shims or bump rubbers are needed, simply adjust the air pressure for correct rate and adjust the nut for the proper bump height adjustment. Remote reservoir canister features clamp-on mount to attach to bay bars. The kit includes an air spring, air reservoir, and air valve. You can order the hose separately according to length needed. The air bump is sold separately. For more information call (800) 221-1851 or visit www.colemanracing.com
Replacements to the Rescue
With stock GM frames becoming harder and harder to locate, AFCO has produced a solution with a 1968-72 Chevelle replacement frame. The material is same grade and thickness as the OEM frame and welds very consistently while weighing the same as its OEM counterpart. Frame assembly is both easy and consistent due to the locating tab’s built-in stops for alignment. The crossmember and front horns have several updated design features to make the chassis build a bit easier, as well. The replacement frame is approved by IMCA, WISSOTA, USRA, USMTS, and DIRTcar. For more information call (800) 319-2551 or visit www.afcodynapro.com
More Replacements to the Rescue
These cast 5×5 hubs from Howe Racing Enterprises weigh in at 11.15 pounds and are made in two versions to replace stock hub and rotor assemblies used on Modified and other stock divisions. OEM aftermarket hubs cannot tolerate hard use without breaking. Howe hubs have been designed to be much stronger and separate the hub from the rotor. You can use any popular eight-bolt racing rotor. The Impala features an added .600-inch width built into the hub face to reduce the need for wheel spacers. For more information call (989) 435-7080 or visit www.howeracing.com
LS Rocker Upgrades
Crane Cams has introduced upgraded this LS OEM rocker arm with pre-installed bushed trunnions that provide increased stiffness and improved dynamics over needle bearing trunnions. These rockers are able to handle higher lift and higher speed applications over OEM LS rocker arms. They also offer increased valvetrain performance without the concern of losing OEM needle bearing into the engine. For more information call (386) 310-4875 or visit www.cranecams.com

Driveshaft Innovation
QA1 now offers two carbon-fiber driveshaft options for Dirt Late Models: a new 2 1/4-inch diameter driveshaft with TractionTwist technology and a recently updated 3.2-inch diameter driveshaft with extreme U-joint misalignment. QA1’s 2 1/4-inch diameter carbon-fiber driveshaft is the first of its size ever designed for Dirt Late Models, and it features a specially designed tube structure that makes it ideal for use on slick tracks. The tube uses TractionTwist technology, which provides more twist under load to smooth out rpm spikes, resulting in smoother application of power to the rear tires. Data tested and track tested with multiple Crown Jewel victories, these driveshafts have proven to increase and maintain traction better than other driveshafts.
