In the campaign, India has been depicted as a mesmerizing tourist destination with various aspects of the country’s rich culture, fascinating history, enthralling traditions etc. being highlighted through powerful visuals and information-rich content. After receiving appreciation in the international arena and capturing interest of tourists across the world, the campaign was also incorporated in domestic tourism sector in the year 2009.

IATO organized the Silent Auction for raising funds for a Charity in Kerala and Uttarakhand, which was a big success. This was coordinated by Mr. Ravi Gosain. We are thankful to  Taj Group of Hotels, ITC Hotels, and Crowne Plaza Hotels, Sofitel, Chrysalid, TTJ, IndiGo, Sri Lankan Airlines, Swagatam Tours Pvt. Ltd., Mountain Trail, Jet Airways, Namaste Tours Pvt. Ltd., Ibis Hotels and all others who supported IATO Silent Auction with their sponsorships.

IATO has taken up the matter immediately by writing to the Hon’ble Tourism Minister and Secretary Tourism. Our President has also sent Messages on WhatsApp to the Hon’ble Minister and all the senior officials in the Ministry requesting for strong action against them.

Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India is also focusing North East in the campaign to attract foreign tourists. Thus it will be nice opportunity to network with tour operators from North East at a common platform and discuss the matter of mutual benefits.
