“Because I can trust you,” Locus answered, wincing slightly.

“How are those two anyway?” you questioned. Locus hung his head and you understood, “I’m so sorry, Sam.”

He gave a heavy sigh, “I’m turning over a new leaf. I need your help.”

“Anything,” you told him, meaning it.

"Alright, I love you" with Locus

“What was that about?!” you shouted getting back to your base with Locus. You ripped your helmet off and tossed it aside in anger, “What were you thinking?!”

“That man was going to kill you,” Locus replied coldly, removing his own helmet and setting it gently on a table.

“I had him! He almost killed you! What is wrong with you?” you sigh exasperatedly.

“Better me than you,” Locus answered without feeling.

“No! You and Felix can finish this without me if it comes down to it. We can’t do it without you though,” you growled, ripping pieces of your armor off and tossing them angrily aside.

“I disagree,” Locus kept his same tone but his eyes followed you as you paced the room.

You stopped in front of him, “What’s this about?”

Silence.

“Answer me, dammit!”

“Alright, I love you,” he finally admitted. This time his voice was tender, still deep and commanding but you felt the sincerity of the statement.

You stared at him shaking your head, “You idiot.” Before he could say another word you stood on your toes and placed a hand on the back of his neck guiding him down and pressing your lips to his in a chaste kiss.

“Oh, come on. You don’t find him the least bit charming?” you elbowed your partner. “I mean, sure. He’s a pain in the ass but he’s good looking. Honestly, you both are. For real though, I’d sleep with either of you.”

You could practically feel Locus rolling his eyes but he didn’t even give you his usual grunt so you looked to him. He was looking over your shoulder.

You groaned, “He's right behind me, isn’t he?”

Locus gave a curt nod and you hung your head. As charming as you thought Felix was you did not want to feed his ego any further.

“So I smell a threesome,” Felix slung an arm over both of you. “Or we can always go one on one,” he turned to you.
